I really do love Disneys Magic Kingdom! I am about to go on my thirteenth visit! I am so glad that I got to read this before going. While I did know some of the amazing facts I also learned so much more! It is so exciting to walk around the park and know some of the story that created this magical place. I highly recommend reading this if you love fun facts or Disney.
Thank you NetGalley and Adams Media for an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I am a huge Disney fan and I love reading and learning about all things Disney trivia - this book did not disappoint! The book is interactive, full of quizzes to test your knowledge, while also offering a plethora of tips and tricks to have a perfect day at Magic Kingdom! I am lucky enough to visit the parks frequently, and I cannot wait to look up some of these hidden nods to lesser known Disney films and other thoughtful touches I have not noticed before. Additionally, this book has wide appeal - letting those who are just starting their foray into Disney trivia feel welcomed and encouraged to learn more. If you are a big Disney fan you might recognize some of the fun facts, but there are plenty more gems of knowledge hidden throughout. This book reads like you are watching the latest video from Danielle full of jokes and positivity. Any Disney fan, new or expert, can find something wonderful in the book! So sit back - with a churro of course - and enjoy this delightful look into Magic Kingdom!
Huge thank you to NetGalley and Adams Media for allowing me to read an early copy of this book! The thoughts and feelings are my own - but I truly hope you enjoy this book as much as I did!

Such a fun read! Danielle uses her Disney knowledge for good in this book, sharing tips, tricks, and trivia for casual Disney fans and Disnerds alike. The information starts on Main Street, U.S.A. and travels clockwise through each land of the park, highlighting rides, attractions, and food spots. Fun trivia questions are interspersed between the history and the info, and there’s plenty to learn no matter how much you already know about this park! This is a truly magical read and will be a great addition to the library of any Disney fan.

Disney’s Magic Kingdom by Danielle Kelly is pure joy from beginning to end. She perfectly captures the wonder, nostalgia, and behind-the-scenes magic that makes Disney so special. Reading it felt like walking down Main Street, USA, all over again — fireworks, Dole Whip, and all.
I loved how Kelly blended history, stories, and little emotional moments. You can tell she truly loves what she’s writing about, and it makes the whole book feel warm and personal. Whether you’re a lifelong Disney fan or just someone who loves a good story, this book is a must-read. It made me smile the whole way through!

This is a great guide for anyone who loves Disney, and especially Magic Kingdom. It's chock full of little-known secrets (Easter eggs, aka hidden Mickeys), fun facts, and Disney history. For example, she explains which horse on the carousel is Cinderella's actual horse, and how to find it.
The author talks about the attractions, the shops and restaurants, the music and smells, Main Street, the different lands, the cast member costumes, and much more. The little trivia questions at the end of each section are so fun. It's like having a really experienced, kind, funny VIP guide in your pocket. I will bring it with me the next time I am there.
Danielle, I know you did not work there, but please write a book like this about Disneyland! We need you! :)

"I Love Disney's Magic Kingdom" by Danielle Kelly and Ian Wilson is a fun and readable book for any Disney fan, whether a long-time park visitor or planning their first trip. This is more than a guidebook; it's a pleasant tour of the park's past, rides, and little-known details, done with clear passion.
Kelly and Wilson blend together fascinating trivia, behind-the-scenes information, and entertaining quizzes, so it's an interactive read. From Main Street U.S.A. to Fantasyland, the book explores all the classic areas with a new spin. It's an easy and educational way to enhance your appreciation for the magic and artistry that makes the Magic Kingdom truly magical. A great addition to any Disney fan's library!

First, a quick thank you to Adams Media and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this eARC.
I really wanted to enjoy this book, but my expectations were set far too highly. "I Love Disney's Magic Kingdom" by Danielle Kelly and Ian Wilson is a cursory tour through the Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom, at best. Part attraction description, part trip "planner" (and I use that term extremely loosely), and part trivia collection, the book only very shallowly hits on all three levels. I'm not really sure who the intended audience is since most of the information included is common knowledge even for occasional visitors to the Magic Kingdom and there are not really enough useful details to help someone who has never been (or perhaps simply hasn't been in quite some time). As a former Cast Member, there certainly are better stories and tips that Kelly could have shared. It makes me think this book is more focused on being a piece of advertising to guide you to her podcast and other social media content.
For an average Disney fan, I would give this book 3-stars. For a hardcore Disney fan, I would give it 2-stars. As a former MK Cast Member myself (who gave tours almost exclusively at MK for two years), I give it 1.5-stars (points are primarily for the personable writing style).

One Disney fanatic to another, the love of the author for all things Disney shines through in these pages. I dearly love the history, trivia, and lore captured by Danielle in a bubbly and gleeful manner. Her words are like a magic carpet ride, shimmering and splendid, that takes us through the ages, through the development of iconic attractions and the creation of Disney World character and creations, hidden Mickeys and little details the casual observer would surely miss. Those of us on a low income want to experience as much of the magic as we can soak up, because if we could, we’d live at Disney World and eat Dole whips every day. Sadly, that is not the case so to have a tour guide help us to find all the hidden delights while we immerse ourselves in the magic of a vacation into the home of imagination, we can only feel gratitude. Thank you for all the wonderful details and the love you poured into these pages. This truly is a must have book for anyone looking to visit Disney World or just relive the memories. It’s a sweeping epic of tasty treats, insider info, quizzes and history all rolled into one.

This is such a fun read for Disney lovers and the Disney-curious alike. Danielle Kelly & Ian Wilson do an excellent job of exploring the very detailed world of Magic Kingdom while providing tangible tips along the way.

An entertaining look into the Magic Kingdom theme park. There was not a lot of new information here for me, but a great read for any Disney fan combining park tips, history, and information in an engaging volume.

I received a free copy of, I Love Disney's Magic Kingdom, by Danielle Kelly; Ian Wilson, from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This book was written by a former Disney cast member, and Disney fan, about the Magic Kingdom, there is trivia, and so much to learn about the Magic Kingdom. I really enjoyed this book.

This is partially a history book, but also a gentle park guide compiled by a former Cast Member who knows countless tips, tricks, and trivia about the parks. I’m calling this a “gentle” park guide because while there are some useful practical tips for a day at Magic Kingdom, that’s not the main focus. It feels more like you’re strolling through the park with a docent who has lots of behind-the-scenes knowledge.
The book includes an illustrated map of Magic Kingdom and each section focuses a different land within the park (including Main Street USA). The sections include descriptions and historical tidbits for attractions, food vendors, souvenir vendors, and other interesting features. There are also trip planning tips and trivia questions sprinkled throughout. There is an index at the back to help you quickly find specific information as well.
Overall, I found this book to be fun and informative. I’m hoping more will follow for the other parks.

Thank you to Adams Media and to NetGalley for an ARC of this book.
This book is full of information for your next trip (or first) to Disney World. This book is really informative and laid out well.

A fun read for Disney newbies and Disney Pros alike. I didn't realize when I received this book that it was by the Dapper Danielle. I love her TikToks. Anyway a fun read. Did I learn anything new...not really. did I enjoy the book....yes. My biggest complaint is this book was released right before Walt Disney starts its expansion with the all new villains land. This book will become outdated very quickly.

I Love Disney's Magic Kingdom is the perfect book to read as you prepare for your next Disney Vacation. There is no shortage of WDW tips and tricks books on the market, but Kelly and Wilson were able to set their book apart from the rest. Not only is I Love Disney's Magic Kingdom filled with tons of facts and tips, but the use of the "Extra Magic" and "Park Pointer" boxes was a great way to throw a little extra "magic" into each section. As a self-proclaimed Walt Disney World nerd, I also enjoyed the additional quizzes that popped up occasionally, some of which were new to me! I also wanted to point out the fantastic illustrated map of the Magic Kingdom featured at the beginning of the book!

I have seen Dapper Danielle on a number of Instagram reels with one of the people I follow, so the first thing that struck me about this book was that it was written (co-written) by her. Off I went to check out her Instagram and was still on the fence about following her. So, I went back to the book. While guide books of Disney are nothing new, and even guide books with fun facts are also on the market already - I have read a few of both - this book struck me because it was not overwhelming in the amount of information it profited. Kelly and Wilson really tried to walk you through the park in a way that made geographic sense and touched on all of the rides and attractions. But stye did it without getting too in the weeds. A light touch that presented each ride, places to eat, and places to shop with some interesting history or context but more a rationale for why you would want to go there. I was surprised by a few reveals - won't spoiler them here - about things that I did not notice and will have to track down the next time I'm at Magic Kingdom. I also sent my husband some information about a path that I had not walked only to be informed by him that we did actually go that route. My sense of direction and recall are not the best apparently. What I appreciated most about this book was its ability to guide and explain without getting prescriptive. If you want to go here to eat, here's what you'll find and what they are known for. If you want to skip it or skip the mean recommendation, not a big deal because here are other options on the way. The book also presents tips on, for example, when wait times are likely lowest, to trivia and lesser known facts. It was ultimately the lesser known facts that sold me on this book, because it gives you something to look up and maybe think about as you wander through the park.
If you have never been to Magic Kingdom and are looking for something to help you get acclimated, this is a great book. If you have been or have picked up guide books before, this one is a solid recommendation and well worth thumbing through to find out things you may not have known. I still want to get a Hidden Mickey book as a bit of a quest, but I do think that this book has enough facts and info to let you start a different quest through the park that is equally rewarding. Kudos to The Dapper Danielle.
After I finished this book, I followed her on Instagram.

I’m a huge Disney World fan. We have gone a few times but it was pre Covid, so I was excited to read a book that would help me have a happy memory of our past trips. There are lots of great details about each part of the park, from historical points to tips on where to get the best snacks. There are fun trivia questions sprinkled throughout the chapters. I did learn some new things about the history as well as a few new places to that I want to stop at when we return. Handy little guide to have before an upcoming trip.
Thanks NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book

A fun read for Disney fans, even if you think you know it all! I've lived in Orlando for the last decade and spent the two decades prior visiting Walt Disney World semi-annually and was surprised at some of the fun facts and easter eggs even I didn't know existed thanks to this book.
When I was younger, I would read various Disney trivia books and guidebooks to scratch that itch in between our family visits. This reminded me of that in a combined format! There's great tips for first-time visitors and fun trivia for repeat fans. I'd love to see this expanded as a series for other theme parks.
Note: Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a free, digital ARC of the book in exchange for my honest review and to support an upcoming interview on our podcast, The Book of the Mouse Club. I also love Disney’s Magic Kingdom, so I was very excited to read this from Danielle! Danielle did a very good job of walking through each land in Magic Kingdom and highlighting the attractions and other parts of the land.
This book would be great for someone who was visiting Magic Kingdom for the first time, doesn’t go very frequently, or hadn’t been in a while.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for this ARC.

‘Random Disney things in the middle of the night that you probably don’t care about but I’m gonna tell you anyway’
A great book full of insightful tips and stories that even someone who has been to Walt Disney World multiple times can enjoy. I love this book. Have followed Danielle on Tik Tok for many years.
