This was such a fun read. Trinidad has spent years doing everything right and raising her boys by building a stable life and being extremely responsible. She finally takes a chance on herself during one unforgettable Carnival weekend. The setting was vibrant.
I loved that the romance pushed against age norms. Trinidad’s chemistry with Orlando felt natural and raw. It’s sexy, empowering, and doesn’t shy away from showing a woman over 40 fully embracing joy, desire, and second chances.
It dragged a bit in places, but overall, a spicy, summery read. Definitely recommend for anyone craving a mature heroine and a steamy vacation fling.

Ms V's Hot Girl Summer follows Trinidad, a single mother raising twin boys who is still looking for love. Trinidad has been dating Milton, and he proposes. But before Trinidad decides, her twin boys trick her into a Caribbean Carnival Vacation, and she runs into Orlando.
Orlando has been mentoring Trinidad's sons for two years and has always found Trinidad attractive. Now, since both ended up in the same place, their flirtation turned into a relationship they both needed. However, Trinidad is hesitant about the relationship because of the 10-year age gap ( Trinidad being the oldest) between them, and she is unsure if he is mature enough for the relationship she wants to have.
I loved that this book was set around Carnival weekend because my family always listens to soca music, and it gave the Carnival vibes. I also loved the relationship between Orlando and Trinidad, and even though Orlando was the youngest, he was still very mature. I also loved a lot of the side characters. Some of their dialogue was hilarious. Overall, this was a cute, fun read, and I will read more from this author and pick up a physical copy of this book in the future.

Various slow start. I had it started a couple of times however, once I got into it, I really enjoyed the story.. I love that. Trinidad and Orlando had dynamic backgrounds and storylines beyond smut

Thank you Harlequin Audio for this advanced listener copy! This was a fun and fast paced read. I love the setting of carnival and focus on Caribbean cultures. I wasn’t a fan of the way the forced proximity was introduced between Trinidad and Orlando, but it worked its way out by the end of the book. This is also a very spicy and sex positive book! I appreciated the dual narration as well. The narrators did a great job of portraying the characters. Read if you enjoy:
-Reverse age gap romances (FMC 35/MMC 25)
-Single parent trope
-Forced proximity

Thank you Harelquin Audio for the ALC.
I absolutely loved this book and I'm super happy I was able to listen to it. The narration was awesome and fit the storyline. As a person of Caribbean heritage, I appreciated this novel even more because the carnival representation was well done! There were several times throughout this novel that I stopped the book to put on some Soca music by Machel Montano and Alison Hinds. This book made me miss home and carnival kn this worst way. The romance was very cute and I loved that her boys wanted her to take a break and remember who she was outside of being their responsible mom. I absolutely recommend this one to anyone who likes easy, fun, romances, with a touch of serious topics.

I had the pleasure of reading the ARC of “Ms. V’s Hot Girl Summer” and it was SO GOOD!!!
Thanks to Harlequin Audio for this Audiobook ARC!
Trinidad Vasquez is a mother to her twin sons, and is primarily raising them on her own! Her sons are good kids and the sons have a mentor Orlando that is a little younger but the attraction and chemistry is there.
The sons hold Orlando in high esteem, and they literally listen to everything he teaches them! Orlando is going to the Caribbean Festival, Carnival! Trinidad is supposed to be going on a trip with her sons and their school, BUT the boys trick her and she ends up at Carnival too!
I loved this book! I resonated with Trinidad because it’s so easy to get caught up in motherhood that you lose yourself in the process! I will say, when I got the audiobook of this I wasn’t expecting this lesson but it was loud and clear! Although you may have responsibilities it’s okay to still schedule time to let your hair down and enjoy life!

This book had me GASPING! I absolutely loved watching their relationship unfold as they got to know each other. As a Caribbean woman, it was so nice to see so many parts of Caribbean culture in one story. There so many moments that I could relate to Trinidad in motherhood, career, and even relationships. Even Orlando had some qualities I could resonate with deeply. They were really fun characters to read. I even loved how the twins were written! think the overall story was really fun to follow. I wasn’t bored at any point listening to this and the narrators did a great job with the characters. And the spice?! Good grief. Very hot. lol. Thanks so much Harlequin Audio!

For the last sixteen years, Trinidad Velasquez has done everything right. She raised her twin sons on her own, worked hard, and created a stable life. But Trinidad is done waiting for a happy ending to show up at her door. Orlando Wiggins has never been able to take his eyes off Ms. V. He’s mentored her boys for two years, and she’s never suggested there could be more. But at Carnival, between the sensual dancing, heated looks, and electric touches, whatever he’s been feeling for her is definitely reciprocated.
Now, I have to say this cover is gorgeous and very eye-catching. I love that the theme is Carnival. I have always wanted to attend and see what Carnival is like in real life. The storyline and plot were good, but the pacing was very slow for me, and unfortunately.
The audiobook was okay; it honestly didn't do it for me. I don't know why. I listened at 2x speed.
Thank you, NetGalley, and Harlequin Audio for the audiobook in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you to the publisher for this ARC but I couldn't get into the audio - will purchase and read the physical! This ALC just wasn't for me. Thank you!

The audiobook of Ms. V's Hot Girl Summer is an absolute delight. Jesus E. Martinez and Esme Ramos bring the story to life in such a captivating way. Their narration perfectly captures the characters' energy and emotion and the Carnival's vibrant atmosphere. I was completely immersed in the story from start to finish. The audiobook enhances the reading experience, making it even more enjoyable. It's a fantastic way to experience this wonderful story.

This was a jolt and a shot of pure joy into my brain!
Also this book fulfilled such a deep need for me. I was just saying how I needed more Age gap romances where the woman is older. So it feels like magic that I read it while just expressing that need.
I loveeeeee that our girl's passion gets reignited via trying to tiptoe around her attraction to Orlando. When we finally get the delicious moments between the MCs giving in to this deep attraction and lust.
The fact that they have a sturdy platonic relationship to really wrap up why they make sense to be together was so masterfully done.
And yes the joy of carnival sets to be the perfect setting for the shenanigans and the reason they take it to the next level.
Wonderful book!

I really enjoyed this read. The instant attraction between Trinidad and Orlando was palpable and set the tone for a compelling romance. Though there’s a noticeable age gap between them, it’s handled with care and maturity, adding depth rather than drama. Orlando helps Trinidad let go of her constant sense of duty and finally embrace a life led by passion and possibility. This is definitely a slow burn—but one that builds beautifully and pays off in all the right ways. Overall, a heartfelt second-chance romance that’s both emotional and satisfying.

Ms. V’s Hot Girl Summer was quick, cute, and spicy! I loved seeing Trinidad let loose and rediscover herself during Carnival. The chemistry with Orlando brought the heat, and the vibrant setting made it a fun escape. A solid read if you’re in the mood for a flirty, feel-good getaway!

This was my first A. H. Cunningham book and it was great! I swear age gaps have been growing on me lately. It helps that they’re both over 25 though 😂
As a Latina, I love me a good Caribbean story! And as a mother myself, I see why Trinidad is seeking stability for her and her twin teen boys. But when she finds herself on an unexpected vacation, thanks to said twins, I was hype to see she would be hanging out with Orlando, her kids mentor who she thought was fineeee.
Now usually young men are a big no no, because we need that frontal lobe developed, but Orlando had been handed so much in life early, that he was forced to mature very quickly. While 10 years her junior, he really had things planned out to help better himself and his family.
These two had a great dynamic between them and the tension was tensioning! I would definitely recommend this for a summer read, especially while enjoying yourself on the beach or even on your own Caribbean vacation.

Disclaimer: Thank you NetGalley and Harlequin Audio for the audio copy in exchange for an honest review.
This was my first A.H. Cunningham romance and it was so refreshing and spicy!! This is very much a light and flirty escapism romance.
Orlando has a crush on the mom of two boys he mentors. Sparks fly when they end up in the same place for a Caribbean Carnival vacation.

I am so in love with this story! I'm so obsessed with this story! I enjoy so much how A. H always incorporates Carribean culture into her writing and not only did I fall in love with the man but I fell deeper in love with my culture as well. I laughed, I swooned, I fanned myself from how mild this read was.. everything I expect from my fave! And dare I say I love this follow up more?! Amazing job!

This was excellent!
I had a really great time, and Ms. V's running commentary in her brain was everything and so relateable. I loved how their relationship blossomed over time. Loved that although there was an age gap, it made sense. The character work was brilliant and although I found the ending a little quickly resolved, I had a really great time.
I really in love with the A.H. Cunningham's writing and the carribean flair she brings to all her novels. Her novels are a love letter to carribean heritage and I want nothing more than more and more of her books.
Thank you to Harlequin Afterglow, Harlequin Audio and Netgalley for an early copy.

This was the perfect mix of fun and heartfelt. Ms. V is single mom in need of a good dicking down. Enter Orlando, her twin’s mentor, who just happens to be 10 years her junior. The twins hatch a diabolical plan to get these two together and some hilarious, sexy, and adventurous times ensue.
This packed quite an emotional punch for such a short read. Both main characters are quintessential caregivers who never put themselves first, loved seeing them find each other.
The Afro Latine representation and the Carnival vacation vibes were woven beautifully into the story.
Thank you Harlequin audio and Net Galley for the ARC! Narrators for this book were on point!

What an amazing follow up to AH Cunnigham's trade debut!! This was so good. Trinidad was so relatable and funny, yet vulnerable
