Both of these books were amazing! This was so spicy and interesting, and the narrator did a good job of keeping me hooked! I also loved the Latin and Caribbean representation!

I enjoyed both audiobooks. I love the Latin and Carribean heritage shown in both stories. I also love that the guy loves hard for the FMC and will does whatever they can to be with them.

Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Audio for the audiobook copy!
To prep for my reading of Ms. V's Hot Girl Summer, I read Out of Office. I did not have a great time with that book. The romance gave me whiplash with how fast everything was moving. It gave a romance built on lust and lust alone. Most of their third act breakup was about how both of them were not being honest leading to them believing that they didn't truly know each other. Like i could have sensed that from a mile away. That book did not do a good job selling me on the romance at all. I then went on to read Ms. V's Hot Girl Summer and I felt it was a better reading experience compared to OOO but there were still some issues I had especially with the male lead. I understand that these books are erotic romances but there should have been more time given to develop the characters so their romances are worth rooting for. Im not going to say you shouldn't read these books but if you expect more a romance heavy book you will be slightly mislead especially if smut is not your thing.

This was an okay romance read for me. Out of Office & Ms. V's Hot Girl Summer had a fun premise and some light, flirty moments that made it easy to get through. I appreciated the attempt to blend romance with themes of self-discovery and independence, and there were a few scenes that genuinely made me smile.
That said, the story didn’t fully pull me in emotionally, and I found myself wishing for a bit more depth or connection between the characters. It had potential, and I think readers who enjoy quick, breezy romances with a bit of sass might still find it enjoyable.

‘Out of Office’ is a spicy and quick read.
Genevieve Raymond, an overachieving hotel chain manager, takes a two-week vacation in Panama where she ends up exploring her desires and the attraction she feels for her driver, Adrián Nicolas. As their connection deepens, Gen begins to question her career choices and wonders if their passionate two-week fling could turn into a lasting relationship.
Thank you Harlequin Audio and NetGalley for the ALC! I enjoyed this book and the narrators.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was a cute and spicy age-gap romance.
Trinidad finds herself on an unexpected vacation her twin sons tricked her into. On the vacation, she connects with Orlando, her son’s mentor, who is a decade younger than her.
I really loved the relationship between the twins and Orlando. The boys really trusted and looked up to him.
The relationship between Trinidad and Orlando worked well too since Orlando is very mature for his age.
Thank you Harlequin Audio and NetGalley for the ALC! The narrators were great if you decide to go with the audiobook.

Thank you to NetGalley, Harlequin Audio, and A.H. Cunningham for allowing me to have an ALC of DOUBLE HEADER Out of Office and Ms. V's Hot Girl Summer!
.
Out Of Office is a cute summer romance where the FMC just needs a break to find herself outside of the work like stress. BABY she definitely did find something AND THEN SOME! This was a HOT story that had some great emotional depth. Perfect read for the summertime!
Ms. V's Hot Girl Summer was an age gap romance was steamy and HOT perfect for the summer. The drama and build up towards the FMC and MMC together was AMAZING and very realistic with her feelings of reservation. Oh and Ms. V's twin boys were so cute! They truly loved their mother and knew that she should be with Orlando .
SN: That shower scene with Ms. V was something else and I ATE IT UP!!! lol
Great story
BOTH BOOKS ARE AMAZING!

A.H. Cunningham serves up two steamy, soul-nourishing romances that blend wanderlust, culture, and unforgettable love stories.
In Out of Office, high-achieving Genevieve Raymond heads to Panama for a much-needed escape—only to find sparks flying with Adrián, her driver-turned-love-interest. Set against a lush Afro-Caribbean backdrop, this story is equal parts sensual getaway and heartfelt awakening.
Ms. V’s Hot Girl Summer brings the heat with Trinidad Velasquez, a dedicated single mom who finally takes time for herself—and finds unexpected passion with a younger man during Carnival. It's bold, joyful, and brimming with second-chance energy.
Rich in emotion and vibrant in setting, both stories celebrate self-love, desire, and the thrill of rewriting your own story.

OUT OF OFFICE
I generally really like workplace romances that highlight prioritizing rest, setting boundaries, and recognizing that you do not need to foster attachments or an identity within a workplace that does not value you. And while Out of Office did all of this, it also sort of left the romance on the back burner. I struggled to understand the emotional connection between the main characters. The further the story progressed, and the closer these two came to marriage, the romantic tension and emotional intimacy just felt lackluster. They'd only been together for two weeks! And that time together didn't convey deep emotional connection to warrant a jump to marriage after a couple months apart. On the spectrum between romance and women's fiction, I wish this had leaned a little more towards the women's fiction side to really emphasize the character growth of the FMC.
To be fair though, I also credit some of this opinion to the narrators' performances. They were just a little flat in their voice acting - especially during the scenes of physical intimacy.
Out of Office features:
Black MC's
Afro-Latinx MMC (Panamanian)
Corporate overwork
Establishing boundaries
Immigration
Prioritizing yourself and your well-being
MS. V’S HOT GIRL SUMMER
This was a fun, mostly lighthearted weekend getaway to carnaval! I enjoyed the characters and their relationship. Plus an age gap where she is older? It’s a nice change of pace. This was a bit more along the lines of what I was hoping to get from the companion book (not connected in storyline but rather in themes) Out Of Office. Thematically the ideas are very similar: establishing boundaries, shifting away from overwork, embracing vulnerability, and taking charge of your personal and professional desires. There is nice chemistry between MCs and that’s also underscored by the improved narration that accompanied the audiobook.
Read if you’re in the mood for:
HOT GIRL summer
Age gap
Finding work life balance
Single parents
Afro-Latinx representation
We have to stay in the same AirBnB for “romance reasons”
Meddling teen sons
Caribbean vibes in south FL
Finally taking a weekend off!

Miss V's Hot Girl Summer is a cute, quick read that delivers just the right amount of spice and sweetness, with minimal drama and plenty of feel-good moments.
Craving stability, Trinidad Velasquez is focused on making things exclusive with the safe and consistent man that she is dating. That is, until her meddling twins arrange for her to spend a weekend on vacation, setting her and the much-younger, charming Orlando up for a surprise weekend together. With their age gap and assumptions clouding the air, there’s no way this could lead to anything serious…could it? But as the weekend unfolds, sparks fly and hearts open because just maybe, love doesn’t care about the rules.
What makes this book feel like sunshine on paper is the way both Trinidad and Orlando show up for each other. She has to decide whether playing it safe is really what she wants while Orlando grapples with emotional vulnerability and learning how to ask for support. Together, they fight past doubt and ego, not just to fall in love but to choose it.

I wanted so bad to love these, the concept for both were right up my alley but the characters felt flat and inconsistent, the relationships were rushed and didn't feel organic, the sex in Out of Office was so awkward and stilted. I think both stories could have been four star reads with some shaping, more showing than telling, more connection with the couples.

Out of Office
This was such a sweet and heartfelt romance. Adrian and Genevieve’s connection begins with a simple driver-passenger relationship, but quickly blossoms into a genuine friendship. When circumstances throw them together for a week, their chemistry slowly builds into something deeper. Together, they navigate grief, personal expectations, and the pressure of living up to family standards. In the end, they make the brave choice to follow their hearts and choose happiness. A touching and emotional journey that leaves you smiling.
Ms. V’s Hot Girl Summer
I really enjoyed this read. The instant attraction between Trinidad and Orlando was palpable and set the tone for a compelling romance. Though there’s a noticeable age gap between them, it’s handled with care and maturity, adding depth rather than drama. Orlando helps Trinidad let go of her constant sense of duty and finally embrace a life led by passion and possibility. This is definitely a slow burn—but one that builds beautifully and pays off in all the right ways. Overall, a heartfelt second-chance romance that’s both emotional and satisfying.
