Oh boy! What a treat! I’ve been a follower and admirer of Devon for years! Somehow I missed the book announcement. Imagine my surprise when I opened the book and saw her artwork. This book is lust as lovely and inspirational as her instagram content! I read the ebook version, so I have no idea what the print version will look. However, I think this would work better as a physical book or even a page a day type calendar! I would love to see these affirmations daily.

“You deserve flowers” by Devon blow is definitely a book I want to have for if I ever have a child in my life. I don’t plan for kids, but my friends do, so this is going on the list of books I’ll be reading for them when I babysit! It’s simple, fun, and diverse. I really loved that some of the illustrations depicted chubby women, I don’t see that often, I dont see me often in illustrations, so I really appreciated it. I will also have a review on Amazon, goodreads, and amino!

To start, I'd like to send out a big thank you to the artist and author, Devon Blow, Familius, and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and discover the affirmations within You Deserve Flowers, a minibook. I read in a digital version. I will share my review to Amazon, Goodreads, and Barnes & Noble upon release.
You Deserve Flowers is a collection of art and affirmations paired together to provide inspiration to practice more empathetic behavior, be more loving to yourself and others, and open yourself to difference and new things. Life is full of opportunities and doors to be opened, and it's refreshing to have reminders of how important it is to enjoy the life we've been given. This book would make for a beautiful display piece and has lots of options for pages to leave open, in order to be reminded of the messages within. Since our emotional seasons are constantly changing and evolving, we may need to hear different reminders at different times, and I love the idea of having this book handy. The cover immediately drew me in and I enjoyed each page as well. I like the idea of giving flowers to every moment, of cherishing and celebrating the everyday, normal things that make us ourselves and also the things that make us connected. I especially appreciated the message "Make the things you do meaningful. Make the words you say kindhearted." We all need to be reminded to act with kindness and empathy in interactions with others, no matter what we do or where we reside in the world. I appreciate the author being able to share their thoughts and art with us and look forward to finding a physical copy when I can. Thanks again!

The book is a package of tiny messages with big impacts, along with diverse illustrations supporting them. The quotes are largely concentrated on self and positive life paths.

A beautiful and uplifting short book. A fast read, but perfect for sitting down and unwinding. The art is beautiful and works well in combination with the poems and the inspirational quotes. A nice little reminder to take a pause and appreciate yourself and the little things around you a bit more.

A review of You Deserve Flowers: Blooms of Self-Love and Empowerment, written and illustrated by Devon Blow.
What an uplifting read! This book can easily be read in one sitting, read randomly, or taken a few pages at a time. However you choose to read it, I have no doubt that you will revisit it to savor both the wisdom and the illustrations.
Who doesn't need reminding from time to time that we are worthy and deserve flowers?! This would make a nice gift for someone you love. Four stars!
My thanks to Familius for allowing me to read a digital review copy via NetGalley. Publication is 8/5/25. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are my own and are freely given.

Instagram famous artist Devon Blow keeps it consistent with her art. Here, her signature illustrations of people with heart shaped blush stickers are perfectly paired with inspirational quotes. The quotes themselves are nothing new but, sometimes we all need that reminder that you do deserve the flowers.
Seems I stumbled on this little book the way that many others did via NetGalley so, thanks to them and the publisher!

This was a lovely and uplifting little read with beautiful artwork (I particularly loved the colour palettes used in the designs). There are lots of cute little quotes to enjoy.
Thank you to NetGalley and Familius for the ARC.

A short and sweet collection of “feel-good” sayings with beautiful art. It is impossible to read this without having a smile on your face.

This is a perfect book for when you need a little pick me up moment. It helps you unwind your mind and remember that life is not always bad. It helps deal with the hard moments. The bright colors are a nice plus in this.

I stumbled on part 8 of this book on Netgalley. This was such a cute mini book of beautiful art and poems/quotes of empowerment. I wish that I have the rest of the book to look at. I'm definitely picking this up for the artwork and beautiful words. Some great reminders, nice things to say for yourself, when you don't feel like yourself.

Beautiful illustrations and “feel-good” nuggets that warms the soul and gives hope when you’re having a bad day or struggle with any issues.

What's not to like? A book about appreciating you, who you are, what you do, how you relate, how important you are to the world. Nothing wrong with a book celebrating our life, our importance, and our role in the world. If you are down, the book could help pick you up. And if you are up (and good for you), the book will keep you going in this positive direction. A sweet book. Enjoy.

This is a vibrantly colorful book with pieces of wisdom that may be internalized one day at a time or all at once. The illustrations make an attempt at inclusivity and pairs different types of flowers with each piece of insight. Though the target age group seems narrowed by the illustrations. I wish there were some connection to the meaning behind the flowers tied to the wisdom as there is a whole language of flowers that might have been incorporated. But, the concept that each of us is deserving of love and joy is endearing.nonetheless.
