Was adorable. 🥰 I have two daughters with autism and one-year-old son who has a high likelihood of also having it. He hasn’t shown too much interest in books yet other than to play bang bang with them or to try and rip the pages. Having a digital copy was a lovely compromise. He was really engaged with the black and white colour contrast and we read this as a family with his sisters. Ones of his sisters is almost fully reading and the other is learning to read, but it’s also a lovely tool for them to learn and for us to have quality time together. And the illustrations are gorgeous. 5 ✨.

I received a copy of this eBook from netGalley for a honest review,
I love these high contrast books for babies. They have plenty to look at for both kids and parents and they have fun words to read at a very beginner statis.

This is a pretty useful book for babies who are just learning to see the world, it would be better with more colors, since the world is full of them! but thats just my personal preference.
Thanks to Netgalley and the author for this ARC.

I love the art for this and that words are included. I also appreciate the creativity behind this by using places/things in NYC. It breaks up the monotonous use of shapes, nature, etc.

As a former New Yorker, I had to check out this board book for my baby niece. I absolutely love the illustrations and I think the high contrast black and white vibe is perfect for a little book about NYC. That said, I do know that babies and small children are drawn to bright colors, and I'm not sure the monochrome illustrations will keep a baby's attention that well. I also think it could have been just a smidge longer with a bit more variety in the illustrations to demonstrate the topics.
Thank you to Familius, NetGalley, and Janna Steagall for the eARC of this lovely little book!

Big thank you to Janna Steagall, Familius, and NetGalley for the privilege of being able to check out a digital copy of Baby Sees New York City, a high-contrast black and white board book for newborns, babies, and toddlers. I will share my review to Amazon, Goodreads, and Barnes & Noble after release. Simply put, this is a cute and New York City-themed high-contrast book for babies that will stimulate their interest as their vision is limited for the first few months of life. The bold lines and high contrast will draw their eyes, helping them learn how to focus on something and process information, and can be useful for tummy time as a distraction. This would be a great gift for babies who live in New York City, or whose parents have a connection with the Big Apple. The choices of images are popular sights and activities you might do in the city, providing opportunity for parents to share experiences and stories with baby that will strengthen their bond and teach baby vocabulary. This series is super cute and fun, and would make great gifts for any baby shower or baby gift in general. They would make a great addition to daycare libraries, church libraries, public libraries as well. Thank you again!

My introduction to this creator was (https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/7407628237) – a look at mythical beasts for the far-too-young-and-impressionable. This sticks to NYC, which has probably more than its fair share of young and impressionable. But it means that bridges, ferries, taxicabs, park features and pizza slices get to feature in strong contrast – one time white on black, the next black on white, one time singular, the next in plural. It's for people who need to get used to holding books in tiny hands and using them themselves, and book use at this crucial point in life is only to be recommended. It's also for people who like NYC being honoured in such a way, of course – otherwise there's little reason to pick this over, say, Texas or SF – both of which appear to be incoming at time of review.

Overall, the book was well written and I did really enjoy it. Thank you for this advance reading copy!

Quick and Cute
I found this to be a fast and fun book even for the adult.
The illustrations capture key New York moments from cabs to fountains.
This book would make a cute addition to a baby shower gift.
I received a copy of this book from Janna Steagall and Familius. I have elected to leave a review. All opinions are my own.

The perfect high contrast black and white board book for lovers or residents of NYC. This would be a great baby shower/baby gift.

4.5/5.0
We love a good theme and font choice for gift giving. Illustrations and word choices were cute. Each page focuses on one item relating to NYC. On the alternate page it shows high contrast imagery. With others in the series, some pages have multiple examples of what said item may look like, while others are the same image repeated. I prefer the pages with more variability as it was more engaging to older toddler siblings reading along with baby.
Thank you to NG and Familius for the advanced copy.

Cute baby book! Love the contrast. It makes it fun in a unique way without being boring. It’s short and good quick read for those city babies (and the baby tourists too)!

Very cute!
Baby Sees New York City is a cute, high-contrast black and white board book for babies. The illustrations are lovely. This would make a great gift as well.

While many are used to board books that utilize all of the colors of the rainbow, Baby Sees New York City is a beautiful new entry to the genre. The high-contrast illustrations are sure to capture the attention of its readers. The topics and imagery are also a sweet love note to New York City and what makes it special. I highly recommend this title for purchase.

I love New York City so when I saw this book, I had to take a look into it. A cute, high contrast board book all about different sights and aspects of New York City culture. Would be a great addition to a little one’s bookshelf to have and to be read to.

Thank you for the ARC. I like the black and white contrast book for babies BUT the theme just wasn’t there for me. It was New York and only really had one reference of it in my opinion. Otherwise it’s short and simple for a baby.
