It is always a pleasure to read these books from Rothman. The hand drawn illustrations and facts are always enjoyable in my family. I look forward to getting the physical copy once it comes out. There were things that I thought I knew about some insect’s clarified to the truth through the text. The actual sizes for some of the insects were also, included and that makes it fun for children to draw their own in their notebooks or sketchbooks. I do plan on using this next school year for my child because this cannot be passed up

First of all, this is yet another spectacular addition to the Julia Rothman Anatomy collection.
I went through it with my 7 year old, who has always enjoyed the illustrations in these books but now that he’s becoming a strong reader, he was so eager to devour every bit of the content in this book.
As a homeschool parent, books like this are a wonderful source of organic learning as well as a very helpful resource. I love when I can find books that my kids pick up on their own and spend however much time they wish just thumbing through the pages, asking questions and feeding their overall love of learning.
I’m eager to add this to our physical collection.

Such a weird and wonderful book. I love the imagery in it. The facts that sometimes you do not think about when it comes to some creepy crawlies. I really enjoyed reading it. My son also enjoyed listening to me reading it.

I respect insects and their place in world ecosystems. I also admire their extreme diversity and prolific nature. I still think they're kind of icky. Luckily, this book is great. The illustrations are beautiful. I learned a lot of new facts. This would be a good purchase for a very curious kid in elementary school.

The Advanced Review Copy (ARC) was provided by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Rothman and Hearst never disappoint. The style is always distinctive, the information interesting, the overall vibe of the book having a character/personality of its own.

We already own all of Julia Rothman's books and they have been a go to favorite for years in our household. This is a no brainer for us to pre-order the actual book as we enjoy the digital copy. We are about to go into summer time here and this book will be used a ton as we explore the world outside. The illustrations as always, bring life and spark the imagination of everyone.

WOW! Julia Rothman is one talented individual! This book is a beautiful addition to any bug-loving child's (or adult's) shelf. I think I *may* have enjoyed this book a little more than my children, although my 9 year old was entranced by all of the interesting facts included The illustrations are GORGEOUS and would make stunning wallpaper and art prints (does the author/illustrator sell those anywhere?!), and the information is well-researched and captivating. I will be purchasing a physical copy of this book, as well as the rest of Julia Rothman's anatomy series! Thank you, NetGalley!
