Formatting issues made this unfortunately too difficult for me to read, so DNF after only a few pages :( I will give this the full five stars because my intention was to read it!

It was difficult to find the thread between one chapter to the next. Maybe it was because this was an advanced copy without a table of contents but the book just felt disjointed or a compilation of smaller short stories.

This book is full of short stories which are easy to read. There is history blended in, which I enjoyed. I was very happy with this book.

With the Palmse Music Box, you'll go from one atmospheric tale to another, never disappointed. The crafting of those short stories can be used as demonstration of what talent is. I expected halfway in the book to find repeats, or a pattern, not to avail. So, I recommend this precious book for anyone's library, and also to give as a gift. All my opinions are mine, thank you Netgalley and the author.

The Palmse music box delivers a tight-knit plot with thrilling short stories, with each having a unique essence to capture readers' interest. The historical blend with magical essence, with time pulling towards the past to explore hidden things, gives a curious tone while reading. The author blended the tight plot with the right amount of mystery for a good reading experience.
