What's Mine is Yours was a pretty good read. This is a suspenseful psychological thriller. I enjoyed the storyline and the twists. I think this was a fast paced easy to read book for me. I was able to put it down and pick it back up with ease, but I had to know what was going to happen so I finished it all in one day lol.. If you enjoy psychological thrillers that are easy to read then this is for you!

Leah Mercer’s What's Mine Is Yours is a chilling psychological thriller that explores the fragile boundaries between friendship, trust, and betrayal. When Emily reenters her estranged friend Ava’s life under the guise of helping her daughter feel safe, a simple house-swap spirals into a suspenseful unraveling of dark secrets and long-buried lies.
Told through alternating perspectives, the novel keeps readers guessing as both women conceal truths that could destroy their lives. Emily’s seemingly generous offer masks ulterior motives, while Ava’s perfect façade hides a disturbing past. As tension builds, Mercer masterfully teases out the suspense, leading to a final twist that will leave readers reeling.
Gripping and compulsively readable, What's Mine Is Yours is a twisty tale of friendship turned toxic. Fans of domestic thrillers and unreliable narrators will be hooked from the first page to the shocking finale.

A story of two women, no longer close friends, but both carrying secrets and guilt. What lengths will Emily go to in order to get back into Ava's life? Anc why does she want to so badly? Gradually getting more creepy as we see just how unbalanced and dangerous Emily really is.

Emily and Ava stopped being friends for a reason, but now circumstances have allowed Emily back into Ava's life to her detriment. Ava is concerned about the house swap, instigated at the insistence of her own daughter, which will allow Emily access to her house, compromising her privacy. And of course, Emily has her own agenda.
But it is difficult to know at the outset what the dynamics really are here. Because both these women have secrets, but only one is in danger. Thanks to the twists and turns of this story though, you may have difficulty figuring out which one that is!
The pacing could be better, but overall, Leah Mercer has delivered an entertaining story. It gets 3. 5 stars.

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this arc. A house swap with an old friend gone wrong?? What could happen? How bad could it be?? Lots of secrets in this one and THE TWISTS!! OMG!

I absolutely enjoyed reading this. Will definitely be recommending. Kept me really hooked I'll love to reread again

Overall really enjoyed this! It did drag a bit towards the middle/beginning of the second half but the last 80% really picked up and I couldn’t put it down!

What's Mine Is Yours by Leah Mercer was wonderfully written and had me hook, line and sinker from beginning to end.
I love a good thriller that is filled with suspense and twists and Mercer does just that.
The descriptions were so in depth and vivid.
And the characters are very well developed.
This was an awesome read that kept me flipping the pages.

This book gave off vibes from that movie “Single White Female” but in a slightly different way. Mercer created such suspense throughout the entire book. It was easy to tell that Emily was a little off, but I had no clue the extent that she was going to go to get what she wanted! She was holding on to so many secrets and lied so much, it was hard to like her or feel bad for her and her circumstances.
It was the complete opposite for Ava. She had a secret of her own, but it was a heartbreaking one. One that, when I learned what it was, I let out a gasp. I felt awful for her. Then the twist at the end which changed my perspective of the whole situation – just WOW!!! I know I’m being really vague, and that’s because as always, my reviews are spoiler free.
The book is told in varying point of views and Mercer does that exceptionally well in this book. There are not too many points of view so you don’t get confused. Each character has a distinct voice, which really helps. I really loved the kids, Sophie (Emily’s daughter) and Lexi (Ava’s daughter). I enjoyed reading about them gaining their voices and becoming more comfortable with their wants, needs, and relationships with their parents, whether it was good or bad.
There are some really great twists in this book, some shocking twists. The ending is fantastic, and I cannot wait to read more by this author!

What's Mine Is Yours by Leah Mercer was an excellent psychological thriller. This was a book that was so addictive it will have you hooked from the very first few pages and WoW, it was so good I could not put it down! it was told by three POVs, Emily, Lexi and Ava, which I really enjoyed. This made this book a fun great quick read especially as I wanted to find out what happened next.
What's mine is Yours was full of twists and turns and packed with lies, which had me hooked. I loved all the main characters and it had me guessing till the very end. Great read.
Big thank you to NetGalley and to Bookouture for my ARC.

I enjoyed this book. Was easy to get the characters mixed up for the first few chapters but that could have just been me. Great storyline. Recommend reading it.

You think you know what’s going to happen BUT boy there’s a twist! A good one. This was an easy interesting read. Definitely recommend. It kept me guessing and wanting to know more about the characters and what and why she was hiding what she was. Super good!

Another solid 4 star psychological thriller from Leah Mercer! She never disappoints.
Ava dotes on her 11 year old daughter Lexi, she is Ava’s life, however Lexi feels stifled by her mother’s constant attention. She gets on a lot better with her dad, Dan, but he isn’t home often as he travels a lot for his pharmaceutical work. The family live in a safe quiet affluent neighbourhood but when there is a burglary at the house next to theirs, and Dan is still away for work, Ava is shaken, and Lexi feels extremely unsafe. The morning after the burglary Ava runs into her old friend Emily and her daughter Sophie, whilst doing the school run with Lexi. Both Ava and Emily had been pregnant with their daughters at the same time and after meeting at an antenatal clinic 11 years ago they instantly formed a close bond, but this bond was broken in a spectacular fashion soon after the two baby girls were born and since then both Ava and Emily just tend to say “hi” to each other at the school gates. Whilst Ava and Dan are comfortably well off, Emily isn’t, especially with Sophie’s father not being around, so she is anxious to make a better life for her and Sophie and is desperate for money. The morning after the burglary Ava runs into Emily and Ava, feeling very vulnerable and alone, she confides in Emily about the burglary and Lexi’s unwillingness to go back home due to feeling unsafe. Emily offers Ava and Lexi to stay with her and her daughter, Sophie, but her one bedroom flat is far too small for the four of them. So instead, Ava asks whether they could do a house swap for a few days until Dan gets back from his work trip and Emily agrees. Emily is excited to swap her tiny flat for Ava’s lovely large house and also hopes they may be able to rekindle the close friendship they once had and reconnect. Emily will do anything to get Ava’s friendship back; however, Emily and Sophie are a link to Ava’s past….. a past she is desperate to forget and pretend never happened. How far will Emily go to reconnect with Ava and when will Ava discover that Emily isn’t all who she seems to be?!
This was my second book by Leah Mercer, and I was hooked pretty early on as with her first book. I loved hearing the story from Ava, Emily and Lexi, dual POV’s are always something I enjoy. I was shocked at how grown up Lexi’s thinking was though; she seemed much older than an 11 year old but I think children grow up a lot quicker nowadays than they used to before there was so much technology around. I also was a bit baffled by Lexi’s anger towards her mum, although I do understand this could have been because she saw how independent Sophie was and she wanted the same independence, without realising that Sophie actually wanted her mum to be a mother to her rather than working every hour she could and leaving her alone so often. Chapter 25 shocked me to the core and the incident that occurred (again sorry for the mystery but this is a no spoiler review), made me realise very quickly who I should be rooting for and who was a pretty despicable character. I did not see the twist coming, which was brilliant, and I really was absolutely shocked at the turn of events, so excellent writing Leah Mercer!
This was a great story but a hard review to write as I don’t want to give away any spoilers, I hope I have done a decent job!
Overall, I would definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good psychological thriller. Leah Mercer always comes up with the best (although sometimes chilling) twists! I look forward to what she writes next.
Thank you to NetGalley, Leah Mercer and Bookouture for my advanced reading copy. Out now.

What's Mine is Yours is my fourth venture into a book by Mercer and my favourite of hers to date.
The story is narrated from three POV, former best friends, Emily and Ava, and Ava's daughter Lexi.
It starts off at a moderate pace and with each chapter I read it amped up a notch as I neared the big reveal. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough!
The plot had me hooked and I was on tenterhooks waiting for those secrets to be outed, weren't you?
Suspenseful, tense and thoroughly enjoyable.

Goodness me, this was such a good book. Highly entertaining. Would definitely recommend to others, that's for sure!

Ava and Emily reconnect after a break in at Ava’s neighbor’s house. Once the best of friends, their friendship did not survive. They come up with an interesting plan. As Ava’s daughter Lexi is now terrified to be at her home, Ava and Emily agree to swap houses for a time. This is when things really become interesting.
Emily has an ulterior motive when it comes to the agreeing to swap houses. What she wants is the friendship between her and Ava to be restored, and will go to any extreme possible to make that happen. As it turns out, one or both of the women have secrets that soon are accompanied by danger if not shockingly poor decisions.
Told in alternating perspectives, this captivating story slowly weaves events from the past to the present. Leah Mercer’s masterful storytelling keeps the reader engaged from beginning to end, drawing them into the unfolding drama. This domestic thriller is a must-read, an absolute delight that will leave you eager to discover what happens next.
Many thanks to Bookouture and to NetGalley for this ARC for review. This is my honest opinion.

Emily offers to swap houses with her old best friend Ava, due to a burglary next door, who are no longer as close as she hopes they would be. Once there Emily begins to understand why Ava is avoiding her and the secrets she has could ruin the idyllic life that she has created.
I enjoyed the premise of this one and was interested to see where it would go. I was drawn into the story fairly soon into the novel, however it became quite slow paced until it picked up again at the end. I liked the dark undertones running throughout the story and the different points of view kept it engaging. I never really knew who to trust and there are some surprise twists to discover. This was a quick, easy read overall and an entertaining thriller. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this copy in return for an honest review.

This is a darkly suspenseful novel with plenty of secrets hidden within its pages! I was intrigued by the relationship between the main characters of this book-Ava and Emily-who met when they were pregnant but nowadays no longer have the close friendship that they previously shared. But when Ava and Lexi feel unsafe in their home after a neighbour is violently burgled, Emily uses the crime to get back into Ava’s life…and her home.
I loved the alternative POVs in this book and trying to discover who had the most shocking secrets between Ava and Emily but the dynamics between their daughters were also very intriguing! Two very different mothers bringing up two very different daughters but still managing to maintain an air of mystery about their pasts. So lots of strong female characters here and you couldn’t trust a single one!
There were definitely some shocking secrets being keep here and whilst some of them were easy to uncover there were a few gasp out loud moments too! I thought I had all bases covered but was completely bowled over by some of the revelations towards the end that turned everything I had believed before on its head! Female friendships are notoriously difficult to navigate at times and the author uses her plot points to examine these important relationships that are often based on nothing more than giving birth at the same time.
A new author to me but one I will definitely return to in the future.

What's Mine Is Yours by Leah Mercer
This is one of the craziest and wildest thrillers I have recently read. Fast paced and the outstanding storysetting.
Two old friends with two secrets that both were trying to bring to the grave. Until the lately burglary happened, Ava's daughter was worried about it. Ava's old friend Emily suggested to swap house and now they were getting closer to the secrets.
I could not believe my eyes to read the ending. The high level of twisty and suspenseful vibe brilliantly created by the author Leah Mercer. This is definitely a page-turner.
Many thanks to Netgalley, Bookouture and the author for my copy.

"She invited her into her home. She shouldn't have..."
What's Mine is Yours by Leah Mercer is a suspenseful psychological thriller that explores friendship, rivalry, and obsession.
Ava and Emily used to be friends when they were both pregnant with their daughters. But faced with an unimaginable tragedy, Ava began to distance herself away from not only Emily, but away from everyone. Now years later a burglary next door has Ava and her daughter Lexi fearful to be home alone while husband Dan is away for work often. Emily sees this as her chance to reintegrate herself and her daughter Sophie into Ava's life. Offering up a solution in the form of a house swap until Dan can come home, Emily is hopeful that once she can get back into Ava's good graces the two can pick up their friendship. But both Ava and Emily are hiding secrets, and Emily is willing to sacrifice anything to be by Ava's side once again.
This is the second book by Leah Mercer that I have read and she is quickly becoming a must read author for me!! I loved the premise and found it to be full of insight into the reasons why the friendship had floundered in the first place. Emily's POV is truly wild and says a lot about how her mind works and the depths of obsession and rivalry with Ava that she has come to. The story is fast-paced with just enough action and suspense to keep me engaged. The chapters alternate between Ava, Emily and Ava's daughter Lexi and I liked how the secrets were revealed piece by piece. At one point I was 100% sure I knew where this was going only to be thrown in a different direction. Highly recommend!!
Thank you to NetGalley, Leah Mercer, and Bookouture for this ARC!! Publication date is May 8th 2025.
