Set in a busy A and E hospital setting, this romcom provides you with a ready made community of friends and colleagues. Tilly is a single, career minded nurse who is well established there but who begins to question whether she wants more from life. She's ready for romance and when the dashing new doctor appears, the attraction is undeniable. The trouble is that Luke seems a bit evasive at times and seems to shy away from intimacy. Although alarm bells might begin to ring for the reader, Tilly stays determinedly set on finding romance.

The hospital setting provides some amusing moments which I am sure health professionals might recognise. Tilly's friendship with her flatmate and their errant landlady adds to the story providing character led humour. You also feel that the story splits into two parts and when opportunities for new friendship and possible romance appear, you hope that Tilly will see what the reader can. This is a gentle romance with humorous moments and some entertaining moments.

In short: new friendships and new romance

Thank you to Boldwood Books, Phoebe MacLeod and NetGalley for an advanced copy of Love, Accidentally.

I enjoyed this book when it got to the second half as I felt like the first part of the book was sort of irrelevant and didn’t add much to the plot. It confused me a lot.

The second half was also a much lighter read than the first half. I feel as though it might have worked better as a duology with two shorter novellas.

The confusion between the two halves is why the rating is low, as mentioned earlier, if they were separated it is likely to have been higher.

Although a little on the lighter side, this book is a great beach read or perfect for a day at the pool

Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Tilly is a dedicated night-shift ER nurse who rarely has time to date, until love unexpectedly shows up in her ER in the form of a charming new doctor. As she starts falling hard for her seemingly perfect match, everything is going great, maybe a little too great. When her sharp-eyed sister uncovers something unusual, Tilly begins to wonder if she’s missing a few key pieces of the puzzle. Thankfully, she has a strong support system in her sister, her fun roommate, and her close-knit coworkers, who also bring a lot of humor and heart to the story. This book definitely took me for a loop. It started in one direction and then shifted to another, all while making sense and keeping me hooked. I couldn’t stop turning the pages, always needing to know what would happen next. Thanks to NetGalley for the free advanced copy!

I really enjoyed this, had a number of tropes I like:
-second chance romance
-happy ever after
-friends to lovers

I liked that this had a touch of a thriller vibe as you didn't quiet know what was going to happen with the relationships.

Such an easy read, well written characters, easy to follow plot.

Definitely recommend

as a 911 dispatcher - I know not the same thing as an ER Nurse, I felt very connected to this book with the type of things we handle. I feel very close with Tilly. I really hoped she would've got more then just a kiss. (Open door that is) I've read a couple closed door spice books here lately and this one hit different, I wanted more for her. Needed more her. Had a lot of fluff, overall good book.

♥️🩺My Thoughts🩺♥️

Tropes Found:
🩺 Workplace Romance
♥️ Hospital Setting
🩺 Plot Twists
♥️ Rivals to Lovers
🩺 Forced Proximity

Love, Accidentally is a quick, workplace romance novel following Tilly, a senior nurse questioning her romantic future.

When I read the first chapter of this book I was instantly pulled in, and loved the Grey’s Anatomy vibe. However… after that first chapter the book became disjointed and hard to follow at times.

I don’t know if this book would have been better as a duology. The first half of the book had a completely different vibe to the second half. Maybe if it was two different books, the author could have embedded more details in each half, so they didn’t read so differently.

This book definitely had potential, but sadly missed the mark for me. Please note: just because this book wasn’t for me, doesn’t mean you won’t love it.

Love, Accidentally is a sweet, brisk rom-com that delivers friendly banter, workplace charm, and heartwarming moments. It’s ideal for readers seeking a comforting escape more than a deeply immersive emotional dive. Just be aware, the romance may feel a bit fast and certain serious subplots may not have the weight some readers expect.

This had all the trademark humor I’ve come to expect from Phoebe MacLeod. The banter between the characters was fun and the medical emergencies for one poor patient were amusing (and embarrassing). I felt the chemistry between Tilly and one of her suitors but not the other so the ending was surprising, although expected, but also seemed a little like she was settling. Still, they were a cute couple and I enjoyed this book, though not as much as some of the others.

I was initially intrigued by the medical setting and the potential for a layered romance, but I struggled with the tonal shifts, exaggerated character dynamics, and some plot elements that veered into surreal or uncomfortable territory. While I appreciate the attempt at humor and chaos, the execution didn’t land for me. I found it difficult to connect emotionally to the central relationship, and some character decisions left me more confused than invested.

That said, readers who enjoy unpredictable romps with eccentric characters, workplace drama, and sharp-edged humor may respond differently. I always appreciate the opportunity to read early and recognize that every story resonates differently with every reader.

This book feels like someone that went to med school and had a giant crush on one of the doctors and decided to write a fanfic about it and use every medical description they could. And I don't need a detailed description of a swollen penis and how the patient refers to it as "Maurice Minor." When she referred to it as looking like the eggplant emoji, I literally checked out. PLUS, on top of that, the doctor is so negative toward patients living and I just couldn't read anymore. Holy hell... This was bad.

First of all thank you to Netgalley for this arc!
Unfortunately, this book wasn’t for me and i ended up dnf:ing it. It didn’t really hook me from the beginning and it felt a bit dragged out.
Hopefully this will be a good book for someone else!

Not my favourite romance book that I've read recently, as a lover of Grey's Anatomy I really thought I'd love this book but for me not enough of this book was set a the hospital and it seemed quite disjointed between romances with Dr Luke Will.

****Three and a half stars****
Initially this book sounds like an enjoyable read. Tilly, an A&E nurse meets Luke, a dashing junior doctor and sparks fly. Although predictable, the story was well told and I thought the second half of the story would play out just as well. However, it felt flat & the build up between Tilly and Will wasn't nearly as good as the first part of the story. Also some of the characters came across as frustrating for example - Luke's wife and his Mum to name two! I really like Phoebe Macleod novels but this one just wasn't one of her best. Thanks to Net galley for the advanced copy.

This was a really cute read. I enjoyed the main characters storyline’s. The storyline was good and I was kept engaged the whole time. Thank you for an arc of this

A ROM Com that got slightly disjointed for me. The storyline didn’t flow well at first and the Tilly and Luke Saga was overall unnecessary. and fell flat for me. The second half of the book was much better when Tilly and Will’s story began. I enjoyed the disability representation. The storyline got more interesting as their relationship progressed.
I enjoyed Tilly’s workplace shenanigans with her coworkers. The friendship with her flatmate Mike was also fun. The ending was lackluster and abrupt. Overall, the book was good but lacked the WOW factor for me
**Thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to read this arc in exchange for an honest review**

Thank you netgalley and publishers for allowing me to read this book. 3.5* Set in an a&e there are definitely one or two funny moments with a particular patient. There was a lot within the story that I so saw coming some maybe not so much, but on the whole, it was an enjoyable read.

I liked the premise of this book but it wasnt my favourite. A lot of the story seemed to happen off the page and we were told about about it retrospectively - like their first date.
I also had instant dislike for the flatmate - he seemed so awful.
