Love, Accidentally is a cute medical romance. The book doesn't go in the direction the reader thinks it will, giving the story quite a twist. Tilly is a likable character and I enjoyed watching her navigate her life throughout the book. Not everything was wine and roses but that's what makes a book realistic.

This is truly a story of self-discovery. So many things change in Tilly's life at the same time, making her question where she in life and where she wants to be in the future. She also finds herself looking for romance but possibly in the wrong direction.

I enjoyed Love, Accidentally. The story's pacing is consistent and I enjoyed the ride. The story is a romance but also women's fiction about self-realization, new journeys. And of course, finding love where you least expect it.

Another absolutely enjoyable and fun read by Phoebe MacLeod! Her novel is light-hearted, funny and the perfect romantic story. I always enjoy the development of strong relationships MacLeod builds between her characters. The slow burn, second chance romance is so sweet. With this book, MacLeod has added a small twist and a relationship that develops from one random encounter. I have enjoyed and loved her previous books and I have now added this book to my collection as well.

Tilly is an accident and emergency nurse. Her good reputation has her boss assigning Tilly to help a new doctor at the hospital. The more time Tilly and Luke spend together, the more their relationship goes beyond professional boundaries.

While Tilly has plenty going on, the changes around her have her reflecting on her life more. Suddenly, she finds herself wondering if Luke is the right person for her. It seems her sister and flatmate (and his new girlfriend) have plenty of advice. Now, Tilly just has to figure out what her next steps should be to achieve the love she is seeking.

This is my fifth read from MacLeod and one of my favourites.

Mainly set in the confines of the A & E Department of Tunbridge Wells Hospital it immediately gave me straight out of Grey's Anatomy or for the older reader ER...George Clooney - Doug Ross *swoons

Tilly is our hapless heroine and she's looking for love...her search for a relationship is at a dead end and there's a new boy in town...Dr M̶c̶D̶r̶e̶a̶m̶y̶ Luke!

It's fun, feel good fiction and guarantees to make you smile, or snort into your coffee...Maurice Minor. A washer. His penis. You get the picture...don't you?

Great characters, a cheese laden plot and a thoroughly entertaining, enjoyable read.

Love, Accidentally is Phoebe Macleod‘s newest stand-alone romantic comedy. It’s a workplace romance set in a hospital in England.

34-year-old Matilda “Tilly” is an experienced accident and emergency (A&E) room nurse, so she’s seen pretty much everything. When a handsome and charming junior doctor transfers to her hospital, she befriends him. Dr. Luke Milne sets hearts aflutter across the hospital, but he’s lonely and spends a lot of time with Tilly. Tilly is at a crossroads in her life, as her younger sister is married and her roommate, Mike, is in a serious relationship. Tilly’s mom is desperate for Tilly to get married and start producing grandkids. As Tilly spends more time with Luke, she wonders if something is off with him and their relationship. Meanwhile she becomes close with an older patient, Jonathan Barwell, and his son, Will.

Love, Accidentally is like previous stories by this author: cozy character-driven stories with minimal romance, and very little profanity or sexual references. However, Love, Accidentally provides a behind-the-scenes look of the workings of the hospital and realistic medical events. Without disclosing any spoilers, Tilly is suspicious of Dr. McDreamy Luke. Simultaneously she begins a friendship with a patient and his son, Will. The reader can foreshadow how this is going to play out, and the storyline is executed wonderfully by the author. The side characters were interesting and colorful, and Lena deserves her own book.

I really enjoyed the descriptions of Tilly’s experiences in the hospital Emergency Room. While I understand that some readers might be disturbed by the opening and final Emergency Room scenes, it’s a common occurrence in the southeast USA where my son is a paramedic.

I received an Advance Review Copy (ARC) from NetGalley and Boldwood Books for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Tilly’s a senior nurse in a busy A&E department, and when we meet her, she’s not in the best headspace. Then this new doctor shows up, and next thing you know, she’s in a relationship that had me mentally screaming, “Girl, no!”

I really liked all the hospital scenes—the mix of intense emergencies and ridiculous mishaps felt super real. You can tell the author either lived it or had some great stories from people who did. It added a nice dose of realism without getting too heavy.

That first guy, Dr. Luke? Yeah, I wasn’t a fan. I was side-eyeing him from the start. Thankfully, Tilly’s journey doesn’t end there, and I liked how things unfolded after that. She really finds her footing, and I was rooting for her the whole way.

As a guy reading this kind of story, I tend to latch onto the male characters—and some of their behavior definitely had me cringing. But hey, they felt real, and not every character is supposed to be a saint.

Is it a romcom? Sort of. There are definitely some laugh-out-loud moments, but it also gets emotional and touches on some heavier stuff, which I actually appreciated. Life’s messy, and this book reflects that in a really relatable way

I love reading about a strong, capable woman, and Tilly is exactly that. I'm a little surprised I didn't immediately get the ick from Dr. Luke, but I love the way she handled her confrontation with him and his family. Her family was hilarious and soooooo up in her business, but you could tell it was (mostly) out of love and concern.

This was a very quick and cute romance story, although I do feel like it was over before it got started! The first book is lust, and the second book slows down for romance.

I did love Tilly, and what she went through -urgh, I would hate that for anyone - especially the intervention!!!!!

I adored her buddy friendship with Will and his dad, Jonathon. It was so cute, especially the crosswords - it's definitely made me think about doing them after he explained them to me!

I did chuckle at Tilly's sister's nickname for Issac.... I sometimes use it for my mini-me 😬😬 It's a term of affection, and she knows it.

I found it very easy to get into this book, and I did find myself wanting to get back to the audiobook as quickly as possible, dragging chores out longer than needed ;) Mainly because I loved anything with Mike!

I am glad I read this, it was a cute story that definitely entertained me and left me with a smile on my face at the end!

Tilly is a nurse in A&E where she meets Dr Luke Milne. Things seem to be going well for them, but he is holding back and is he keeping secrets. When she meets Will, though his father who is a patient, she can't help compare Luke and Will, and then finds out what Luke is really like. I would have liked to see more of what happened next.

This was a cute, easy read—but I couldn’t shake the feeling that it could’ve been better. The premise had potential, and there were a few charming moments, but the characters and storyline didn’t quite stick with me. It lacked the emotional depth or spark I was hoping for, making it feel more like a casual read than a memorable one.

Sweet in parts, but overall, just okay.

I expected to like this as I’m a fan of Phoebe MacLeod and I wasn’t wrong!

Tilly is an A&E nurse and when the handsome new Dr Luke joins the team, they catch each others eye. However, Luke is cagey about his home life, only letting on that he has a sick mother he had to care for which leads to Tilly and her sister doing a bit of snooping into his background which unearths a few secrets.
Meanwhile, Tilly is also making new friends with hospital patients and learning that you don’t necessarily need blood to be a family.

I loved the characters in the book from Tilly who is scared she’ll end up alone, her flatmate Mike who finally seems ready for love to the grumpy Drs in A&E and the varying patients they treat with some hilarious injuries.

The romance in this book seemed so genuine and real as was the awful behaviour of a certain Dr!

I liked that the book touched on a few sensitive topics without making the story too serious. Topics such as loss and grief added a sweet sadness but this is overcome with friendship and love. Another covered topic is gaslighting which I think is probably more common than not in bad relationships.

Overall I thought the story ran smoothly and it was a fun and enjoyable read with plenty of laughs. I definitely recommend this!

Thank you to Netgalley and Boldwood for the ARC.

Thank you so much to boldwood for letting me arc read and sending me a copy of this ❤️

I am obsessed with Greys Anatomy so I was so excited for this one!

It was an easy read but it just didn’t HIT the way I was hoping it would 😩

I did enjoy the writing style and the fact that the book was fast paced… although there wasn’t much build up or chemistry between Tilly and Luke and then it was just like BAM they’re a couple…

Tilly’s open family drama did keep me entertained 🤭

Been a while since I’ve read a Phoebe MacLeod book, I loved the fast pace and Tilly and Will dynamic. However I feel like I’ve read a similar romance previously so was a little predictable.

I was given this ARC from NetGalley for my honest opinion This was my first book by Phoebe MacLeod and the book was just okay for me. It felt like I was reading two different books. The book definitely could have been a bit longer with a stronger storyline. This wasn't my favorite book, but a quick read. I will more than likely try another from this author in the near future.

Tilly, a senior nurse in A&E, is captivated when she meets Luke; a handsome, charming junior doctor. So why are those around her not as trusting of him. Is he hiding things? And is Tilly missing what’s right in front of her?

One thing this book definitely didn’t lack was humour - I laughed so many times from literally the second page in! I enjoyed this story, however the first 50% and second 50% made it seem like the book was two different parts completely.

Overall this was an easy, lighthearted read and I loved the authors style of writing!

From Phoebe MacLoed comes a great, fun romcom again
This time set in A&E with patients in pain.
Tilly works as a nurse with her colleagues there
They may have a laugh but they always take care.

With examples of patients and staff relationships, too,
Along with some of the strange things they do!
A fun read as Tilly starts to look for romance
But maybe her focus could cost her the chance?

A new colleague could be just who she needs
But could the cues be something she misreads?
Maybe there's someone much closer after all
If only she'll look, maybe for each other they'll fall!

A fun read all the way through
I don't hesitate to recommend to you.
For my copy of this book I say thank you
As I share with you this, my honest review.

I read half of this book and then skimmed the rest. It ended up being a two star read. When I started this book, I really liked the banter. I thought the main character was quirky and fun. Then she started seeing the main guy and it was painfully obvious he wasn’t into her and their chemistry was not translating well. The “surprise” was not a surprise at all. I think this book would have been redeemable if we had been introduced to the real love interests from the start. Throwing him in half way through makes it really hard to bond with him and not feel rushed. It would have also been a good plot device to really drive an internal conflict within the main character. It could have given readers more investment to compare these experiences the main character has with these guys. She also becomes incredibly attached to the bad guy off script. They meet a few times, but only have two real conversations and even then one of them was him being insulting. The pace starts off fast because of the banter, but because emotion isn’t built throughout the book it feels like a slog to get through.

This novel drew me in from the very first page and kept me hooked until the end. The characters were vibrant and relatable, the writing was engaging, and the story had just the right balance of heart and humor. Highly recommend!

3.5 stars!

Thank you NetGalley, Rachels Random Resources, and Boldwood Books for this eArc copy of Love, Accidentally.

This was a cute rom-com hospital setting. Tilly is a nurse who works in an accident emergency room hospital. She meets Luke, a doctor who is new to the hospital and thought she had a really good relationship going. Then she meets Will, her patients son, whom she develops a relationship with. There were some really funny parts, I caught myself laughing multiple times in the story, then there were a few parts I was furious at Luke. I definitely think this is worth a read if short and sweet Rom coms in a hospital setting are your thing.
