Tilly is an A & E nurse and not much can catch her off guard. So when her flatmate gets a girlfriend and her sister wants another baby, Tiilly questions her single life. Until Dr Luke arrives on her shift but is he all what he seems?
From the first chapter I was laughing so much. Whilst it had a few funny moments there were some serious moments. One scene in particular which put Tilly in an embarrassing situation and I really felt for her. Whilst this was not a complete rom-com but focusing on friendships but also 9n real life situations.

This book could have been 2 separate full books. It was basically 2 different stories, the first half was sort of mysterious insta love and the second half was more of a golden retriever insta love story.
Luke and his family are the absolute worst. This book was redeemed by Will and his father. I wish I couldve read a whole book about Tilly and Will.
Thank you to NetGalley, Phoebe MacLoud and Boldwood books for this ARC!

I will struggle with my review for this one. I enjoyed it but it was almost like 2 halves of a split personality. A bit disjointed. The start of the book had me in stitches being that I am a nurse and it ran true 😂
But the disconnect happens when one relationship ends and another begins. It just feels like a different story and the closure between one wasn't satisfying enough to truly appreciate the second.
This book is closed door with no descriptive scenes, all happen off the page. There is a fair bit of bad language throughout.
I wouldn't read it again but will tell the girls I work with, because the start of the book they will love.

I don’t even know what I was reading 50% in. I had to stop, and think, “I am reading this right?? Is this happening and are these characters justifying this man’s behavior like that?” lol I know I was not the only one. Then after that I couldn’t get into their relationship, Tilly was someone I wanted to really like and Luke???? That’s another story, I loved Tilly’s friends and also her sister, she was soooo funny, and she is a no nonsense woman, I wish Tilly was like that… I love this author though, but this book was not for me.
Thank you Netgalley and the Publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book.

It is a much slower pace book despite being a short one. Unfortunately it didn’t grab my attention as much as I have hoped and I‘ve been not that enthralled by the narrative. Though I feel it will be perfect for fans of medical romcoms, it’s just not my jam it turns out.

Thanks to the Publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.
Tilly is a nurse working in A&E, and everyday she handles so many different situations.
Then, the person she shares a flat with has a new girlfriend and her sister informs her she’d like another baby. Tilly begins to think of being on your own is still a good thing.
A new doctor, Dr Luke, joins the departmen and Tilly likes him, but is he the right person she should be with or is Tilly quick to find a boyfriend?
I liked the characters, some more than others. The story had some funny moments.
I recommend this book.

I really wanted to like this book. It just ended up feeling really disjointed to me with the two different love interests throughout, I also felt like it was a bit of a drag to get through the whole thing.

Tilly is an A and E nurse, who has seen it all. So nothing really surprises her anymore, but when her sister talks about having a second baby and her bachelor roommate is suddenly in a serious relationship, she realises she needs to think about what she wants.
Enter Dr Luke, a handsome, charming new doctor at work, who seems perfect on the outside, but things soon don’t seem to add up. But will Tilly pay attention to all the red flags?
Love, Accidentally I found is almost split into two parts, which at times did make it feel a little disjointed. I did enjoy the idea of the book and there were some great chapters. Ultimately I feel as if this one tried a little too hard to be a romance when it could have been made more reflective. Although still good book, it probably won’t be one I will reread in a hurry.
Thank you Netgalley, Phoebe MacLeod and Boldwood Books for this advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

This book was a fun read and i loved the easy to follow plot and characters were so perfectly written. Tilly and Will were the perfect couple and I loved reading how their story developed.

Because the first 60 percent of this book focused on Luke and Tilly, I really thought he was going to be the main love interest of the story. But they made a big pivot after that. I think that is why I felt the rest of the book was a bit rushed.
Tilly is a bit desperate in my opinion. Why can't she just appreciate her time with Will instead of constantly thinking about sleeping with him. If I like someone, I don't care how fast we go, I would just like to be in their presence. Also, Will had just come out of a very difficult relationship and wanted to heal from that. Why doesn't Tilly understand that?
Also, it's never explained why Mike's no longer a playboy anymore. Just when Ashley appears, he changes his ways but this is never explained. I have some questions about that.
I did like the setting of the hospital. It gave me Grey's Anatomy vibes.

As a huge fan of British hospital shows like 24 hours in A&E, I was excited to get a romance book from Phoebe with an A&E setting.
Tilly is a seasoned A & E nurse who quickly falls for a new doctor but things are not what they seem with him but all is not lost as there is a secondary storyline with a patient that comes in needing care and she soon develops a bond with him and his son.
This was a fast read with some humor as well as emergency room behind the scenes but I wish the character development was a little deeper and that the portrayal of dyslexia was not so nice.
Feel good romance with a large cast of characters.
Thanks to Boldwood books and NetGalley for this eArc in exchange for my review.

The writing was light, humorous and had mixed narration. I enjoyed going from first to third person. It gave you more of an insight into the main character's personality. It did take you in and out of the story, but it was done well and added something extra to the main storyline.
The chapters were long and split in places. This meant that you got a good chunk of the story before moving on. The splits ensured that you kept moving through the story well, and gave the story a good flow. I just wanted to keep on reading and enjoyed picking it back up at each reading session.
There was an interesting flow to the story because of the different narration techniques being used. I enjoyed it and thought that it enhanced the story.
The characters were good. I enjoyed the different personalities, the scary Consultants that secretly weren't so bad if you did your job well, the unpleasant characters who had different sides and the shy characters who you just wanted to have more faith. It kept you on your toes and unsure as to who to trust! It also injected some tension and emotion into the story.
Lastly the settings. These were only lightly described as it was very much a character focused story. Where more detail was needed to ground the story and to emphasise a point, it was there.
Overall a light, entertaining read that I enjoyed.

I received this advanced reviewer copy from Boldwood books! Thank you so much for the opportunity!
Tilly, an accidental and emergency room nurse, has seen it all and rarely experiences surprise. She is mostly happily single until her sister mentions having a second baby and her reckless bachelor roommate gets a girlfriend. This prompts Tilly to reflect on her future and her desires.
Just when she needs a break, a handsome newcomer, Dr. Lucas Milne, starts working in A&E. Tilly and Dr. Milne begin hanging out, but she can’t shake the feeling that something is off. Will she ignore the red flags or sweep everything under the rug?
This was a really cute and short read that was fairly enjoryable. As a nurse if it’s about a nurse, I’m reading it 😂. Talk about a little plot twist! The first half of the book definetly gave a different vibe than the second half of the book, which I found to be a bit odd. I believe the author is based out of the UK so some of the spelling of the words is different, but terms are easily understood. The book flowed well, and there were some truly hilarious moments. Would recommend!

Thank you NetGalkey and Boldwood Books for this Arc. This is a workplace romance in a novel which is not my usual cup of tea but it was enjoyable until it felt rushed at the end.
The sass and sarcasm of our main character Tilly feels very real for many who work in healthcare especially in the ER. Our initial MMC was also believable and the chemistry was there so it’s a shame that things took a turn and then sped towards a very different ending and felt rushed.
The pace was great and the writing was good but at no point did this suck me in and I found myself reading everything but this book many times over.

This was a nice, easy read. I didn't initially see where the book was heading - I had different thoughts as to I thought Tilly would end up with. I appreciate that the love she found was not obvious to me as a reader at first. I did have an inkling Luke was a bit sketchy though.
I really appreciate the opportunity to read your book, and would happily read more!

oh Pheobe is back. and when Phoebe brings out a book i am on tenterhooks in the hopes i get to read it. she knows how to give me all i could ever want from a read. she knows how to make me smile, cry and feeeeeeel a book. and boy did i feel this one.
i am also re watching Greys anatomy at the moment so well, you know...
the characters in this book all bought something to do the table. and i lvoe how we had our main character but the others in her life, the goodies, all played a part in what made you loe her story more. the interactions were spot on.
Tilly is an accident and emergency nurse. shes starting to question her "Happy being single" stance when she sees other in her life becoming not so single. then dr Luke turns up in her ward. and boy does he turn up. i didnt feel him at all. and i was panicking a bit. was Pheobe unwell when she wrote this? why was she giving us a romance i wasnt falling for or a man i saw red flag in. i shouldnt have worried, silly silly me. for this wasnt the romance you should have your heart set on dear reader. for what comes next is magic. and just what the Doctor ordered.
when Will came on the scene i was suddenly at ease, thinking yes this is more like it. there is of course more to come. more romance style angst to come. but i love reading every moment of it.
the tie in with Will to Jonathan had my heart growing even more and this was just the loveliest little meeting and friendship.
i was worried at one point that this book was going to give us our first male main character in a rom come who deff shouldnt be there. but i liked how in a romance there was such a twist. and thankful for this one.
another brilliant read. i cant imagine how Phoebe must feel when she turns and sees her books all up on a shelf. it must be the best feeling in the world and i hope she is major proud of them. we are lucky to have our authors. i thanks my lucky reading stars for their talents every day.

I loved this book! I usually am a sucker for medical romances. I got major Grey's Anatomy vibes from this book. I think anyone who loves medical shows/books should read this book. The author does a great job at not bogging readers down with medical jargon and it's engaging throughout the work. Very well done!

🤷🏾♀️WHAT TO EXPECT:
✨ rom com
✨ workplace romance
✨ similar to TV show Grey's Anatomy/The Pitt
Summary: Matilda "Tilly"(34) is an Accident & Emergency nurse who meets Dr. Luke Milne-the new junior Dr.- on his first day @ Tunbridge Wells hospital. He is a caretaker for his mother Richenda but wants to get to know Tilly better. When Tilly's sister's Natasha "Tash" suspects Luke is hiding something, she investigates him. At the hospital a sweet and grieving husband (Jonathan Barwell) is admitted for an attempted suicide and overdose. When Tilly meets his son Will and gets to know him by going to Sunday dinners, sparks fly.
🥰 What I liked: Tilly and Tash's sisterhood, the found family with Jonathan and Will, Tilly's roommate Mike and his new girlfriend Sarah. I even liked how Dr. Patel and Dr. Rodgers respected Tilly's position and trusted her judgement more than Luke.
😞 What I didn't like: Cindy and Richenda-they have enabled Luke's behavior and had the nerve to blame Tilly. Tilly's mother was overbearing and a little toxic in how she treated Tilly. I had to look up some of the UK words which slowed my reading down.
⚠️TW: attempted suicide-not H/h, cheating-H, gaslighting, dyslexia, bullying, grief
🤔My Thoughts: I enjoyed this story even though there's a big shift in the MMC halfway through the book. Luke and Tilly carried on a love affair that crashed and seemed like a waste of time. I would rather Will had been the only MMC because he had a great story with his father, his ex-girlfriend, and his learning disability.

🙏🏿Thanks to NetGalley, Boldwood Books, and Phoebe MacLeod for this ARC! I voluntarily give my honest review, and all opinions expressed are mine alone.

As a former emergency room nurse in the U.S., I was curious to read a rom-com set in a UK hospital. I actually found some parts surprisingly relatable—emergency care has a kind of universal chaos to it, and it was fun seeing those parallels.
Tilly, the main character, is an ER nurse who ends up falling for a resident doctor. Without giving away spoilers, there’s a big twist involving his character—and honestly, I was pretty disgusted by him. I’m really glad things resolved the way they did.
That said, I struggled to fully connect with the story. As someone who worked in a professional medical setting, the way Tilly meets one of the other characters—a patient and his son—just didn’t feel plausible. It pulled me out of the story because it wouldn’t realistically happen that way. And the romance between Will and Tilly also felt like it developed out of nowhere. I didn’t feel the emotional build-up that makes you root for a couple.
Overall, it was a light and easy read, but I had a hard time staying invested in the romance or believing the setup, especially from a nurse’s perspective.

Tilly is a senior emergency room nurse who becomes involved with Luke, a new emergency doctor in her department. After that, things kind of go off the rails. I'll be honest, I struggled with this book. There was a nice amount of humor and the information about Tilly's job was interesting. But I questioned some of her decisions (as well as the decisions of those around her), and the book felt unfocused overall. The story starts out by jumping right into the emergency room action, and I hoped it would keep that kind of pace and level of interesting detail but the plot twists and meanders and the story never really grabbed me fully. The first and the second half of the book also feel disjointed from one another, which was a little disorienting. The character development overall wasn't all that deep (although it improved in the second half), and it made it hard to fully invest in anyone. I've read this author before and it's been a mixed bag for me in terms of reading satisfaction. I had a hard time finishing this book, and in the end I'm just not the best audience for this author. But if you're looking for a medium-paced romance with a large cast of characters and multiple sub-plots then this is the book for you. 2.5 stars rounded up to 3 stars. Publishes May 30, 2025. This review was based on a complimentary eARC, all opinions are my own.
