If you love time traveling romances, this is the perfect book for you! While I did struggle to find a connection with the main characters, the plot was light and fun enough to follow along.

This book does exactly as its described. A lighthearted, fast paced romance, easy to read with a happy ending.
I like the fact that this time it's the man who time travels instead of the woman. The whys and hows of the time travel arn't really explained into detail, but that's fine as that is not the main focus of the story.
I enjoyed reading this book, but at points everything went a little too fast for me. The romantic feelings were almost instant and I was hoping for more of a buildup in the romance. And in some places of the book the phrasing of certain words/things threw me off a little bit, which got me a bit out of the reading flow.
Overall still a fun story. If you're looking for an easy, fast paced romance to read you should check this book out.
Thank you to Netgalley for providing an arc of thid book in exchange for writing an honest review.

this was an interesting time travel romance, where Ben travels from 1817 to 2022 London. Isabella serendipitously bumps into him. though she may not believe him at first, Bella helps Ben and the book is a window into them falling in love as they race to figure out how to get Ben back to his time, and if thats even something they want.
Either this wasn't good translated from the original Portuguese well, or I wasn't a fan of the author's writing style. There was something missing from this - I didn't feel the chemistry or a well developed connection with the characters, and there were aspects that were rushed or glossed over.
Many thanks to NetGalley and The Book Guild for the ARC opportunity.

I love time travel and regency era, so I was really excited for this book! And I think it was a very cute read, but maybe a little too cute for me. I think if you want a very cozy, light read, you’ll love this, but for me, it lacked some depth and something to make it feel unique.

I loved the idea and the concept of a time-traversing Regency romance, but, unfortunately, this just wasn’t an enjoyable read for me.
The way it was written came across quite strangely; I just could not get into it at all. Consistently, there were massive chunks of unnecessary info-dumping; I don’t need to know that you already have the app downloaded which means you can hire this scooter, do I?
The odd phrasing and jolting flow along with the awkward, unrealistic dialogue made it a distractingly jarring read.
I do seem to be in the minority, however, with my perception so do give it a go!

While I LOVED the premise of this book, this was a DNF for me unfortunately.
The main issue for me was that it read like a first novel that hadn't been professionally edited.
This book is getting great reviews so clearly a lot of people don't agree with me on this, but as an author myself this was difficult to read as I was constantly editing the writing in my mind as I was reading.
There was way too much telling and not enough showing, a huuuge amount of background information and description on things that weren't relevant to the story and the dialogue felt really unnatural.
Here's just one quick example:
"The train isn't full, probably because of the time of day. As soon as I press the metal button and get on, I sit down in the nearest empty seat. I don't pick up my phone."
"I get on the train" would suffice here. This is writing craft 101 stuff really.
The dialogue also felt unnatural and needed a good edit and there was waaaay too much background information on anything and everyone that was just really unnecessary.
I also couldn't relate to any of the characters. I felt like I got a bunch of info about their backgrounds and descriptions of outfits but never got to know *them*.
Anyway, I'm in the minority here so if these things don't bug you at all, you may absolutely love this!

🙏🏾Thanks to NetGalley, The Book Guild |Book Guild Publishing, and Stefany Nunes for this ARC! I voluntarily give my honest review, and all opinions are my own.

Falling on a Duke is my first arc. I was so excited to start reading this book! I love reading romance, and liked the description of Julia Quinn meets present day. After reading the book, I feel it is Julia Quinn meets Ashley Poston. I loved the magical realism in this book!
Isabella is a struggling writer living in London. She is on the London Tower bridge one day, and runs into a guy with her scooter. The guy is hurt, and dressed in regency clothes! Benjamin is a duke. He was sitting in his study in Bath, England in 1817 holding a cameo necklace from his grandmother. The next minute, he is in a hospital wearing a gown and the world is VERY different. He has no idea how he did it, but once the pieces come together he realizes he is 200+ years into the future.
At first Isabella doesn’t believe that he is from the past, but she is kind and gives him a place to stay. The romance is sweet, a little unbelievable but sweet. The slow burn and friendship tropes, along with the fish out of water trope, are great combinations. I enjoyed reading this book and even though it was very predictable, I like books that I know will have HEA endings. I like warm hugs, and I like HEA. I like how Isabella used her knowledge of the past and present to figure out how Ben got to 2022. The spice was nice too!
Thank you to Stefany Nunes and Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read this book!

First, thank you to NetGalley and The Book Guild for sending me an ARC of this book.
If you’re looking for a time traveling romance that is swoon worthy, has Bridgerton vibes and is a quick read, then this is the book for you! When I first read the synopsis, it reminded me of the homework Christmas movie that I watched, I ended up loving it!! I had really high hopes that I was going to enjoy this book and I wasn’t wrong. I was entranced with the book from the moment I started reading. I absolutely adored Isabella and Benjamin’s love story as well as little Duke. Isabella quite literally fell and collided into Benjamin just as he fell into her world when he time traveled. Benjamin is a Duke from the 1800s and Isabella is a writer from the 2000s. She feels like it’s her duty to take care of him as shecollided with him and it’s obvious that he is not from her time period. Benjamin is trying to get back to his time to take care of his sister. Isabella is trying to help him while also trying to write her new book. They are on this journey together and that
leads to them getting to know one another, and that leads to feelings!! I absolutely enjoyed their romance, and the epilogue is everything that I needed it to be!!

This book was everything to me!
This read like a spicy Hallmark movie and omg, I am obsessed!
First off, the concept of the story really captivated me. A man from the past who magically finds himself in the future and falls in love with the girl who hits him with his scooter. Here for it.
I think what ultimately draws me to these types of stories is the fact that you just know a duke from the 1800s is going to be the ultimate gentleman. Idk, there is just something about a man who is concerned about a woman’s virtue that makes my heart flutter lol.
I will say, had this story been written by anybody else, it would not have been as impactful. The author does a brilliant job of including enough details to make these characters come to life. Despite the author giving us so much, I still couldn’t help but long for more. Not in a bad way of course, I am just so obsessed with this book, I couldn’t get enough.
The conflict in the story definitely wasn’t unusual for the circumstances. Obviously a man from the past is going to want to find a way to get back home. As much as the conflict made sense to me, it still broke my heart. Given everything, I couldn’t wrap my head around how this could possibly end with an HEA. My heart was slowly breaking throughout the entire book the more I fell in love with these characters and realized there was a very real chance these two wouldn’t end up together.
Buuutttt….. without any spoilers, I will say I wasn’t left a sobbing mess after I finished this book. Love always wins.
Plus the pacing was *chefs kiss*
As for the spice… it definitely wasn’t overdone or over the top. I think those scenes flowed beautifully with the storyline. Very tasteful. The smut bits were definitely delicious even if they weren’t kinky.
Personally, I loved this book and can’t wait to read it again.
I recommend to anyone who is a sucker for gentlemen and are looking to fall in love.
I especially recommend to anyone who is obsessed with Hallmark movies and also enjoy a bit of spice. This is the read for you.

4⭐️ Such a quick, lovely read!🥰 Every page kept me entertained, it was well written and the pacing was excellent for my liking. Falling on a Duke touched my heart in a way I never expected it to be as I was reading it during the time I spent in England.🥰It was extra special to visit some of the places mentioned in the book and really see the scenes ahead of myself.
It felt a bit repetitive when they kept mentioning going back in the time, but other than that it was a beautiful story wrapped in just enough spice to make the story hot.🔥
(I reviewed this book on my GoodReads profile.)
Thank you so much for Stefany Nunes and NetGalley for a chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review!

This book was such a delightful surprise! With charming characters, witty banter, and just the right amount of swoon, Falling on a Duke is a historical romance that feels both cozy and fresh. The chemistry between the leads was undeniable, and I loved watching their relationship grow from awkward encounters to genuine affection.
It’s a feel-good story with heart, humor, and a hero who made me smile more than once. If you're a fan of dukes who fall hard and heroines who don’t play by the rules, this one’s for you.

Never read books by this author prior but this looked like it would be a fun rom com and that’s exactly what I got. It was. A feel good funny moment kick your feet time.
Definitely giving some outlander vibes and it was quite enjoyable. I was able to read this quickly and I would recommend it!

This was a cute rom com book. Super lighthearted and a quick read. I liked how it moved from past to present, thanks so much for the ARC!!

I have never read a book by Stefany Nunes before. But being a Brigerton fan, I thought this light romance would be up my alley. It was!!! Our main character Isabella, a writer, stuck in a rut and also just out of a long term relationship. She needed a distraction, and a distraction she did get! Meet Ben, who came from the 1800's via a mysterious cameo pin and landed right in front of Bella, Our leading lady tries to help Ben figure out his way in the 2020's, and also to figure out a way back to the 1800's, all the while falling in love. Will he stay? Will she go? Will they end up together? This is a very cute lighthearted read.

I'll start by saying I loved the idea the book was based around. A time travelling Duke from the 1800s?? I'm sat. That being said, this book could've turned out way better than it actually was.
The plot was very rushed. I literally blinked and all of a sudden the main characters are in their POVs being head over heels for each other. It felt like insta-love which is almost always a miss rather than a hit.
Also, the writing lacked emotional depth to it, considering a lot of the scenes had certain emotions surrounding them. The writing just didn't bring out the emotions the author was trying to portray.
When the main characters first had sex, it's like all the plot was sucked from the book. More than half the writing after that first scene was just sex or other kinds of explicit content. It completely took away from the story and the author could've instead prioritized those chapters to make Bella and Ben's bond stronger some other way.
Some of the sentences didn't sit right with me either...and I'm guessing it's just me because the other reviews haven't mentioned anything.
➵ Ben's POV:
I can't help it, and I tilt my head to the side as I watch the round, hard arse roll away from me. Isabella's, not the dog's. Always hers.
What- why would you even mention the dog-
➵ Bella's POV:
I watch Benjamin walk away from me, and I can't resist staring at his perfect, round arse in his tight trousers.
Well, at least they're both meant for each other.
I know it's a real word and there's nothing with it but I didn't like the use of the word arse. Like, okay, from Ben I can excuse it, since he's ancient. But Bella is from the 21st century...girl just say ass😭
➵ Quotes
“You must know you're handsome—it's no secret.”
“You're beautiful too, Bella. Don't think I haven't noticed.”
“No, I mean you and the woman you are. The woman I admire for her strength and high spirits. The woman I find beautiful, intelligent, kind. Who attracts me to the point of driving me crazy. The woman...” ...that if I could stay here, I would choose to make mine.
“Our love is impossible, but it's real. Every touch, every word, kiss, and look. It's all real, Bella.”
“I'd travel to the end of time if I had to, darling. I love you. I want to make you happy, fill you with love, hear your laughter, and smell your sweet perfume until my last breath.”
Thank you to NetGalley and The Book Guild for this ARC.

This was such a lighthearted and cute read—exactly what I needed right now. Quick, sweet, and surprisingly emotional in the best way.
The story kicks off when Benjamin, a 19th-century Duke, suddenly finds himself in modern-day England. He’s completely out of his element, and then he literally crashes into Isabella—who, understandably, is skeptical of his time-travel tale. But she still offers him a place to stay, and from there, their connection starts to grow.
I loved how their relationship developed. Benjamin is charming and a bit lost, while Isabella is kind and grounded. Their dynamic felt natural and endearing. The time-travel aspect was fun, though a bit unrealistic—but honestly, that’s part of the charm with stories like this.
I read it in one sitting because I just couldn’t put it down. It’s a sweet and spicy story that left me smiling. Highly recommend if you’re in the mood for a feel-good romance with a touch of whimsy.

⭐️ rating 3/5 - adorable time travelling Dukes!
Falling on a Duke follows Isabelle (Bella) and Benjamin (Ben) through time. After being sucked into a randomly enchanted cameo necklace, Ben is spat out onto the streets of modern day London and promptly ran over by Bella, on a scooter.
London in 2022 is a tricky for Ben, since he is from a time before the invention of indoor plumbing! Although the 1800s Duke quickly sheds his propriety for Bella’s beautiful face and constant reassurances that women in the 21st century don’t need to wait until they are shacked up to get down!
But what about Ben’s responsibilities at home, his sister Abigail chiefly! And will he even ever be able to get back and does he want to?
This book is light and fluffy and completely ridiculous. So clearly a joy to read. I struggled most in this book with Ben’s ease at assimilating to the future, it happened so rapidly and some of the intimate scenes felt a bit clunky and honestly unnecessary. But it was fun and the characters were charming.
And Duke the dog was the best!

ARC Review~
This book would have been amazing if it were a YA book. This book has so much potential in the beginning, unfortunately, it just wasn't executed as well as it could have been, and fell a little flat.
The spice made me feel uncomfortable because the rest of the book was so polite and proper that anything sexual felt like it didn't belong whatsoever.
The plot was good, but the book didn't flow well, which made it hard to finish.

ARC Review: Falling on a Duke by Stefany Nunes
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5
Summary:
Falling on a Duke by Stefany Nunes follows a Duke (Benjamin) from the Regency era who unexpectedly finds himself in the modern world, confused, out of place, and soon entangled with a woman (Bella), who challenges everything he thought he knew. As the two navigate their undeniable chemistry, cultural clashes, and the mystery behind his time jump, sparks fly in the most unexpected ways.
Review:
As a fan of time travel romance, I was immediately intrigued by the role reversal—it’s the male main character who travels into the future, which gave the story a fresh spin. The concept was fun and delivered several entertaining moments as the Duke adjusts to modern life.
The book is fast-paced and easy to read, with a medium spice level that fits naturally into the story. The banter between the leads is enjoyable, and their dynamic has a nice balance of tension and playfulness.
That said, I felt the romance between the two characters was a bit rushed, and I would’ve liked more emotional buildup to really connect with their journey. A little more depth and development could’ve taken the story to the next level.
Also, I have to say—I absolutely loved Duke the dog! He added a sweet, heartwarming touch to the story and quickly became one of my favorite parts.
Overall, it’s a light and entertaining read that puts a unique spin on the time travel trope.
Thank you to Stefany Nunes, The Book Guild, and NetGalley for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.
