How to Get Even by Pippa Roscoe was an okay, light-hearted romance. Inspired by revenge, Bella gets a job at her friend's ex's art gallery as the Comms Manager to try take Chase Miller down. The setting was fun and there were some cute moments by Chase. This is an easy to read and cute book, but nothing to run home about and felt like everything was just a bit too convenient. Good summer read!
Thanks NetGalley for the eArc of this book.

The first quarter of the book was fine -- gets everything set up and has some funny parts. The second quarter was terrible. Both the MCs run around being angry and thoughtless. It's not funny, and it doesn't help the plot much. I skimmed because I want to read the rest of the series and understand it. The third quarter was better as Bella begins to open her eyes and Chase settles down a bit, but I was annoyed with them from the previous quarter. The fourth quarter gives the payoff and was what I had wanted to read from the beginning. I can see that other people would enjoy this, but I didn't like the MCs as much as I liked the secondary characters.

This book was so interesting and laugh out loud amazing ! The Karma Club is hilarious and crazy how they all took one of the others ex’s to get revenge on. Watching Bella work to get revenge on Chase, but eventually fall for him was nothing short of amazing. I’ve read book one and two i honestly don’t know which I like more so I’ll settle on liking them equally I can’t wait to see what happens in the next books!!

The second installment in The Karma Club series focuses on Bella, the woman who was jilted at the alter by Oliver, and Chase, who was still married to another woman when he had a relationship with Astrid.
Taking a position at the new gallery that Chase is opening, Bella starts with little acts of revenge him before working up the big plan for his comeuppance. Her planning abilities are enviable. What I found compelling about their story is the reevaluation of both of their pasts in a new light and how they grow from it.
I love how this newly formed friend group is supportive of one another other. Their text conversations are hilarious. I am looking forward to the final two books and am especially intrigued on how the story with Paige’s ex is going to play out (the revenge porn plot line).
Thank you Boldwood Books for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley.

Wow, this is the first time that I've read a revenge plan story where the person they're exacting revenge on doesn't actually deserve it. Chase is even a super cute guy who just feels so tortured.
Bella is the kind of friend that I desperately need. To be willing to exact revenge on a stranger you've never met before just because your friend had a bad experience with him, gold medal best friend.
Also, I really liked that Bella's rich background wasn't a huge part of the story. She almost never had to use her money to solve any problems. Chase refers to her as a spoiled socialite in the beginning, but that was never the case.

This book was really fun! The Karma Club is hilarious and he was ring their stories is great. Then watching Bella work to get revenge on Chase, but eventually fall for him was so enjoyable.

First time read from author Pippa and I’m quite impressed. Gosh I would give everything to be a part of this group

How to Get Even is the second book in The Karma Club series and I loved this one as much as the first!
The premise Karma Club series is 4 women who are strangers are stranded at an airport due to a snow storm and end up reaching a table in a restaurant at the same time. They decide to sit together and end up discussing their lousy exes over several glasses of Prosecco and decide to pick an ex to get revenge on.
This book focuses on Bella (whose ex is featured on book one) who is getting revenge on Astrids ex, Chase who cheated on her.
Bella, a beautiful socialite makes her play for revenge by getting a job at the art gallery the Chase manages and chips away at his sanity but doing things like loosening the screws on his office chair and putting salt in his sugar. She also tries to sabotage his career but soon finds out that all is not what it seems when it comes to Chase and his cheating ways and sparks soon start to fly when they’re together. Will she get her planned revenge or will she change her plan all together?
I loved the chemistry between Bella and Chase and how it builds as the book goes on. I also love the friendship between the Karma Club and how they become genuine friends who want each other to be happy.
I enjoyed how this book runs alongside The Payback Plan (book 1) with some of the same events happening in both books but from a different characters perspective.
This was such an enjoyable book to read with a bit of spice, funny moments and a bit heaping of romance!
I can’t wait to read the next 2 books in this series!
Thank you to Boldwood Books and Netgalley for the ARC.

This was a DNF for me. The writing felt really forced and sometimes randomly changed perspectives and I really didn’t like that. It felt more like beginner fan fiction than an actual novel. I wasn’t engaged with the plot or either of the characters. It felt very surface level.

This book was so cute! I really enjoyed the story. It reminded me of different movies, but not anything I had read before. At first, I thought it seemed a bit childish and unrealistic that you randomly share a table in an airport and then become best friends with people and decide to get revenge on all their ex's. However, yes, it's unrealistic, but it was actually a really fun read! I loved being able to see Bella's growth throughout the book. I really enjoyed that Bella would just say what she wanted to say and didn't really hold back. Chance, the MMC, was a bit broken and dealing with his own issues and it was great to see him grow and heal throughout the book as well!
Thanks NetGalley for the ARC!!

This author is new to me, but I will be keeping an eye out for anything else they publish. I loved the story and the characters. The pacing of the story was great and the characters were relatable.

Many thanks to NetGalley, Pippa Roscoe and Boldwork Books for supplying an ARC in return for an honest review.
Book 2 in The Karma Club series.
📚 4 women, 4 tales of betrayal, 4 payback plans and How to Get Even
⭐ After reading the first book (and absolutely loving it), I couldn’t wait to read How to Get Even and it’s fair to say I wasn’t disappointed. It’s funny, feel-good, and packed with all the best elements of an enemies-to-lovers rom-com.
Chase is moody, rude, and everything you should hate in a man (to be fair I did at first) but somehow, you can’t help but fall in love with him. Bella, on the other hand, is kind, caring, and full of self-doubt. She’s a true girls’ girl, always putting her friends and loved ones first. They both have their flaws, but I really appreciated their backstories, which gave depth to who they are and why they act the way they do.
I also loved that this book included more interactions between the girls. It added even more heart and humor to the story. It’s definitely a slow burn but it’s worth it!
I can’t wait to read the next two books!

How to Get Even is the 2nd book in the multi-author Karma Club series - which is not even mentioned once. It can be read as a standalone with enough of a recap of the original meeting of the 4 women to understand the premise of each of them taking on another one's ex for a spot of revenge. I wanted to really like this story and felt sorry for Bella almost until some very surprsing revelations right at the end. Communications, indeed! Chase, on the other end, is a releatable main character whose inner conflicts and insecurities lead to grumpiness and mistrust. I loved seeing him work through his issues and coming out stronger. So while a lot is going on in the book, there's very little sexual tension and sparks between Bella and Chase until the last quarter. I was happy for them to get their HEA and look forward to the next book in the series.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood for providing me an e-arc in change for a honest review.
This is the second instalment within the Karma Club series, focusing on Bella, her life after her relationships breakdown and how she’s getting payback on her friends Ex, Chase.
I was really hopeful for this book as I had seen lots of good reviews, however for me it just didn’t hit the way I thought it would… found the book a bit of a drag to read during the middle, I did enjoy the crossover from the first book and how the girls relationships developed during the story’s but sadly this just wasn’t for me

i went into this book thinking it sounded great fun. it was that and so much more besides. it was deeper somehow as our main character really did seem to find something loud and proud within herself. this book gave all the feels you want from this genre and i was both smiling and laughing all the way through. i did also at time shake my head wondering how this was all going to go when it all came out but luckily we are put in the hands of talent with Pippa so she handled what comes next beautifully.
the story gives us Bella's. shes stuck in an airport after doing a good deed( her character is setup up straight away here and you all knowingly nod)
waiting for the next flight leads to something else entirely though. here she meets a group of woman, all who feels wronged by love. and it is here in their huddle that they decide on revenge. not via themselves but via each other. the plan is that each of the woman will get a different ex. and just wreak chaos on said ex;s life. simple, right? hahaha yeh right!
but these woman are hurt so the consequences dont matter. hurt the hurter is the end game so who cares.
but Bella might. because her paired ex is Chance. i was a bit serves him right with Chance. he was with Astrid...well until his wife came knocking! errrm no. red flag after red flag after awful man.
so i was fine with Bella's task and so was she. she starts messing with his routines. small at first then getting bigger until she sees the end goal as ruining his career. that is until someone tells Bella about what really happened with Astrid and why. the truth comes too late though as Bella's has already set thing in motion. now Bella is the hurter. she is to blame. what can she do?
its not helped by Bella's and Chance blooming relationship. its clear there is something more to them. its clear they both feel it. but how can such a mess ever be tidied. how can forgiveness ever come about through so this mess.
this book felt such a heart warming story. i was worried at first about how it was all going to go wrong and then how on earth it could ever be ok again. but following on through the book it just fell together in such a learning and heart mending way.

This second installment in the Karma Series continues the story of Paige, Bella, Astrid, and Sienna whose unexpected friendship is forged through shared experiences of heartbreak. I enjoyed the story quite a lot, but I wish Bella and Chase had a little more time to really get to know each other. There was plenty of flirting, but I wanted deeper conversations, more moments where they truly connected beyond their shared past trauma. Their relationship felt more physical than emotional, and because of that, the love story didn’t quite hit me the way I wanted it to. It wasn’t fake, but it felt like they just kind of slid into their feelings rather than actually falling in love. Chase didn’t go out of his way to really win her over, and I think that took away some of the romance for me.

THIS SERIES IS SO FUN! You get more of the friendship between the women in this book than in the last book which is great! Their friendship is a strong point throughout the series. Women thrown together through a coincidence and through shared life experiences..
They decide to take revenge on the men that have wronged them. But they’re finding out that there are two sides to every story.
I liked Bella. She was smart and capable. Chase, on the other hand, was temperamental, blunt and sometimes rude. It took a little bit to warm up to him. The pair had great chemistry. I liked the friendship between Bella, Astrid, Paige and Sienna. They were very supportive and caring of one another. Chase, in contrast, felt a bit like an island. He’d pushed everyone away save for Tej, who simply refused to accept any distance. I enjoyed watching him open up to Bella and watching Bella learn to stand up for what she wanted. The backdrop of the gallery provided some really interesting touches to the plot, enriching it just like art enriches.
In each of the first two books I've found myself enjoying the MMC and supporting characters far more than the FMC. The main gripe I had with this particular book is that it would switch pov mid paragraph, leaving the flow very confusing. Several times I had to go back and reread paragraphs in order to understand which pov was being represented.
This was just a great read, it’s the second story in the Karma Club series, but they are each written by a different author and tell the story of a different member of a club that you would kill to be part of, as they just have such a bond that you know would never break.

“How to Get Even” by Pippa Roscoe is part of "The karma Club" series of interconnected standalone books.
You can read it separately, or after "The Playback Plan" by Amy Andrews.
Thank you Boldwood Books for the advance digital copy of the book (via Netgalley).
Opinions from this review are completely my own.
Bella's perfect life was changed after her fiancé left her at the altar.
But an encounter with three perfect strangers at an airport is the beginning of an exhilarating and empowering sisterhood: The Karma Club.
They decide to get revenge and her target is the man that betrayed her new friend Astrid - Chase Miller: artist, charmer, cheater.
What you can expect:
- workplace romance
- hate to love
- revenge plans
- some spice
- slow burn
I enjoyed the first book in the series and the revenge plan was really funny.
In this book, Bella starts working as communications director in the gallery where Chase is the director.
Her plan is to ruin his reputation and sanity because he lied to her friend about being married and making her "the other women".
What she did not expect is to be attracted to Chase.
The story is told through dual POV, so we get to find out from Chase that the "cheating" was just a miscommunication.
Slowly they help each other and become more close. He encouraging her to be more confident and she helps him open up more.
I did not like that the revenge plan ended up hurting the gallery and has consequences that he did not disserve.
That's why I do not like miscommunication in books.
Overall this was a quick and nice read and I look forward to the other 2 books in the series.

Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the opportunity to review this book!
The second instalment of the Karma Club series, this book was cleverly written, intersecting the first book for context.
The chemistry between Bella and Chase was delicious and I enjoyed watching each of them uncover facets of themselves.
Perfectly spicy, a nicely driven plot.

I loved the first book in this series (The Payback Plan by Amy Andrews) so my hopes were pretty high going into this one & let me tell you, I was not disappointed!
If you’re a fan of workplace romance or enemies-to-lovers, this one is perfect for you. Add in a good slow burn and a perfect amount of spice… 🤌🏼🤌🏼

The story starts with the fmc, Bella, stuck in an airport after giving her seat to an elderly woman desperate to get back home to see a grandchild. This is where Bella’s main character trait becomes known… she’s willing to do anything for other people and has a want to help fix problems.
As she waits for the next available flight, she finds herself with a small group of women at a little sweets shop called Just Desserts. A bond soon forms as each girl realizes they’ve been wronged by their former lovers and decide it’s time for a little bit of revenge. They formulate a plan where each girl gets paired with a different ex to wreak havoc on their life and show them what it felt like to be hurt and betrayed.
Bella is paired with artist Chance Miller, her new friend Astrid’s, ex. What did Chance do to deserve this payback revenge you may ask? Everything seemed perfectly normal between him and Astrid until one day… his wife comes knocking on their hotel door, letting secrets out of the closet and breaking Astrid’s heart—leaving her feeling like a home-wrecker.
Join Bella as she gets hired underneath Chance and begins to mess with his daily routine and life. What starts as small things, like swapping sugar out for salt on the coffee bar and lowering his office seat ever so slightly, slowly turns into a bigger ordeal as she plans to bring his career down… that is until one of his close friends opens up to her about what really happened all those months ago regarding Astrid. But it’s too late now. The damage has been done, and now the only one to blame is herself and her choices.
Follow both Bella and Chance as they slowly start to fall for each other and realize that sometimes you need to be willing to give people a second chance… because they can turn into the ones you need the most to help you succeed in life.

“That's what it was like. The rush, that same heady feeling when he lost himself to a painting and looked back to see what he'd discovered. She was like that. A fresh painting, a surprise discovery, every single time.”

My absolute favorite part of this book was how Bella found her voice through this journey. After feeling like she was second place her whole life, and that her feelings and emotions didn’t matter, Chance helped her find a part of herself that had been hidden long ago. She learned to take a stand for what she wanted and was able to realize that it wasn’t her job to smooth everyone’s problems out. She learned how to live for HERSELF and value HER passions and wants.

I rate this one a solid 4.5 ⭐️. The only downside was that it’s written in third POV and I really dislike that because it’s harder to connect to the characters imo.
A huge thank you to NetGalley, Boldwood Books, and the author for allowing me to read this arc. These are all my honest opinions in this review.
