Love this read! I really need a physical copy so that I can add all my notes to the margins on the pages. This book is so needed in these times.

If you consider yourself to be self-aware…. This is a great book for you to read. Many of us believe we are self aware in that we control ourselves, meet expectations, etc. However, understanding what drives us to be workaholics, what character flaws may stem from shortages in trust, where those mistrustful feelings and control issues began, etc.

Rosen discusses why mutual respect, trust, and self awareness are needed for relationships to work.

All POSITIVE here!!!

Bob Rosen’s Detach is an absolute triumph. This book doesn’t just speak—it sings. It’s the kind of read that feels like a deep exhale after holding your breath for far too long. Rosen brilliantly unpacks the art of letting go—not as a retreat, but as a radical act of presence, self-love, and clarity. For those of us navigating identity, expectations, and the emotional noise of modern life, Detach reads like a permission slip to center yourself unapologetically.

What struck me most is how queerly relevant this is—emotionally intelligent, boundary-honoring, and rooted in truth. It’s not about detaching from people or passion, but from the old scripts, fear-based reactions, and toxic attachments that keep us small. Rosen has such a tender yet wise voice—it’s like having a therapist, a coach, and a very grounded fairy godparent all in one.

In a world that demands constant performance and over-identification, Detach reminds us of the power in stepping back—not to disappear, but to reclaim. It’s healing, liberating, and yes, required reading. Whether you're leading a team or leading your own evolution, this book deserves a spot on your nightstand. Five big, glittery, soul-shifting stars.

This is such a wonderful book full of useful information and practical tips. It explains the many different ways you can form attachments to both internal and external forces. These attachments affect us in many different ways and can truly wreak havoc in our lives. I had many ah-ha moments and am fully onboard to start making the necessary changes and habits to detach and start truly living in the present. This book is a handy field guide to living your most authentic self and I will look back at it in the future for myself and to help others. I listened to the audiobook and the author/narrator did a fantastic job. I would like to thank Brilliance Publishing and NetGalley for giving me an ARC (which did not sway my opinions or review).
