This is a cute, roommates-to-lovers story. It was funny and enjoyable. A little slow, but it delivered!! I had a good time reading it! Even though I did not read the previous two books, it can be read as a standalone.
Thanks to NetGalley for the arc!

Friends to Lovers
Forced Proximity
Slow Burn
I loved how relatable the characters were in this book and it was so funny! I loved how the side characters were also very interesting. I wish there would’ve been more chapters for Hunter and Dylan as a couple. I need more of them!
Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the arc of this book.

I have enjoyed this entire series by Camilla Isley. At the beginning of The Roommate Experiment, Hunter and Dylan have just moved in together. Hunter is thrilled to possibly finally have a shot at her years long crush, Dylan. Sadly, Dylan has just started a new relationship with blond barbie. 75% of the book follows with both of them having feelings for each other, but Dylan denying them because of his girlfriend, and Hunter because Dylan has a girlfriend. While I mostly enjoyed this, (spoiler) I didn't like that we had to wait until almost the very end for this couple to finally admit their feelings for each other, so I'm knocking off a star for that. The writing was still excellent though.

Hunter needs a roommate now that her 2 best friends and roommates have moved out of their apartment , her new roommate is Dylan Nina's big brother and her crush for the last 11 years . She thought that there was a chance that they could become a couple but at the first night he told her that he is having a girlfriend . She is so sad that she tries to avoid him . But in time he falls for her and they have their happy end .
I received this book from netgalley , the author and the publisher as an ARC . Thank you . All thoughts and opinions are my own .

The “Roommate Experiment” wraps up the 3-part romance series in a hopeful and heartfelt conclusion.
Hunter has feelings for Dylan, but Dylan is completely oblivious… for ten years. To make things more complicated, Dylan is dating someone he doesn’t even seem to care about. It’s a sweet, slightly frustrating love story about longing, putting yourself out there, and finally asking for what you want.
Beyond the romance, this series features a likeable mix of friends, adding warmth and depth to the story. The books were all easy, enjoyable reads that would make perfect picks for summer.

I enjoyed this book it’s the third book in funny feeling series and it releases tomorrow 27 May and it’s funny feeling lovely..
Hunter has secretly been in love with her best friend’s brother Dylan for years, despite barely registering as a blip on his radar. She’s not even in the friend zone—more like friend zone adjacent. But her luck is about to change: Dylan is taking over her spare room, and she's being promoted to roommate. Could this be the moment Dylan finally notices her?
Not so fast. When Dylan moves in, he carries more than just boxes—he brings complications. Suddenly, the dream of living under the same roof turns into a daily struggle. Dylan is off-limits, for reasons Hunter couldn’t have anticipated, and the closer they get, the harder it becomes to ignore her feelings.
But Hunter’s determined to keep her heart in check—no matter how difficult the task. She just has to avoid ogling him in a towel. Definitely don’t imagine what’s under the towel. And try not to swoon when he bakes cookies.
But after he saves her from a terrible date and they’re forced to share a sofa bed at his parents’ house, her emotions reach a breaking point. She’ll have to either move on or move out.

4.5 stars. This whole trilogy has been great, it was bitter sweet reading the last book! This one wasn’t my favourite in the series but it was still such a good book. The MCs were brilliant together and hating Olivia was fun, especially after hearing about her grief socks 😂 I’m looking forward to reading more of Camilla’s work after enjoying this trilogy so much.

I have honestly loved this short series and would happily recommend it to anyone who enjoys whip-smart exchanges and sexy scenarios. This is the final pairing of the three friends, focusing on Hunter and Dylan. Since the other pairings had found their happy ever afters, it made sense for Hunter to share her apartment with Dylan because he’d moved out to make way for his best friend moving in with his sister.
It helps when we realise that Hunter has been hiding her crush on Dylan for years, but Dylan has hardly noticed Hunter. Until now…
Hunter works in engineering and has just secured a key role on a prestigious new project, so she uses this to avoid spending time alone with Dylan. In all honesty the avoidance tactics added to the rising tension between them, and I was eager to see what would happen when the pressure became too much. It may be because I work in engineering that these stories have resonated with me, but my job is the only common ground between Hunter and me.
I particularly liked Dylan and thoroughly enjoyed getting to know him. Working in the finance sector, he was used to high-pressure situations, but nothing could have prepared him for finally becoming aware of his roommate and also realising that there was zero chemistry between him and his new girlfriend. Dylan is by far one of the most chivalrous leading men that I have read about recently, and his respect for women above his own self-preservation was definitely an extra reason to find him attractive.
Their jobs may have been high-powered, but the need to fight temptation and do the right thing is familiar and definitely added to the tension in this fabulous rom-com. Trust me, check out the series.
Highly recommended!

Imagine being in love for years with your best friend's brother, and then the time comes when you have to live together!
"He’ll finally notice me, fall in love with me, and my dream will come true."
Those were Hunter’s first thoughts — but her smile didn’t last long.
Dylan and Hunter had lots of sweet, tender, and funny moments.
The restaurant scene? Amazing. The T-shirt scene? Hilarious and heart-melting. These two really had something special.
I loved how strong and confident Hunter was at work — a stark contrast to how vulnerable she felt around Dylan.
Even though I usually enjoy slow burns, in this case, I would’ve liked the story to be a bit more fast-paced! I wanted more moments with the protagonists as a couple.
First-person narration, dual POVs, short chapters, no spice!A light, cozy read!
Do I recommend it?
If you're a hardcore romance fan and love the forced proximity trope, you'll really enjoy it! I didn’t read the first two books in the series, but I had no problem following along!
P.S. The other two books are definitely going on my TBR list!

Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for this ARC! Hunter has been in love with her best friend’s brother for a long time, but never done anything about it. Dylan needs somewhere to live and who better than his sister’s friend. Hunter thinks this is finally her chance with Dylan but it turns out he’s dating someone. This will they or won’t they was cute but the slowest of burns.

Thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the ARC!
If you like a good trope, this crush on a roommate and crush on bff's older brother will serve you well.
I may be a bit too old to be in the target audience as I found it a bit too fluffy, however it did make for a quick read (one afternoon) and an entertaining break from some of the more serious reading I have been doing for work.

I will read anything by Camilla Isley and "The Roommate Experiment" did not disappoint me! This is the third in an interconnected standalone series. You could jump in and read this one without having read the previous two just fine. I loved the slow burn in this one and the side characters in this one. I'm excited to read her next novel! Thank you to Boldwood Books and NetGalley who provided me with a ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. All the thoughts and opinions are my own.

5 stars – The Roommate Experiment by Camilla Isley is the third book in a trilogy but can easily be read as a standalone. I haven’t read book one, but I did read and enjoyed book two.
I have to say that I absolutely LOVED this book! I read it in one sitting until the very early hours of the morning and laughed hysterically throughout. We have Hunter who has been secretly crushing on her best friend’s brother, Dylan, for eleven years! When Hunter’s best friends Nina and Rowena move out of their NYC apartment, Dylan moves in. The funny awkwardness of being roommates, Hunter trying to catch Dylan’s attention and Dylan waking up to seeing what is in front of him make this a hilarious rom-com. Such a wonderful story that you leave you feeling lighthearted and upbeat.
A big “Thank You” to NetGalley, Camilla Isley and Boldwood Books for allowing me to read an advance copy. This independent, honest review is joyfully shared.

I was unaware this book was the third in a series but could definately be read as a standalone. I loved the banter and the
'feeling development. It's always fun to read of those who have crushed on each other yet neither knew nor made moves. The Roommate Experiment is a great slow burn romcom that I thoroughly enjoyed and will absolutely read more from Camila Isley!
Loved Dylan - what a sweetheart!

3.5 ⭐️
it's with a very sad heart that I that this one might be my least favorite boos of camila's 💔
it just felt that throughout the story there was something missing, and then nothing happened for a while...
hunter and dylan's story development was very slow if compared to isley's other books and that was kinda frustrating 😕
thank you netgalley and the publisher for the arc!

I am a huge fan of this author and her romcoms. Her characters are brought to life on the page! Dylan moves in with Hunter when his sister (and Hunter’s friend) moves in with her boyfriend (and Dylan’s friend). We get the story from both Dylan and Hunters’s POV so we can see they like each other right away. The story is filled with will they/won’t they get together. It’s is a slow burn romance that will have you laughing at some of their actions to avoid their feelings like Hunter sneaking out of the apartment early morning. Dylan asks her about it so now she has to leave early every morning because she said that’s what she does (she is not a morning person).
If you love romcoms full of antics you will love this book! It’s a great escape read!

Firstly, thank you so much to Ms Isley, the publisher (Boldwood) & NetGalley for this wonderful experience to read this book early!
3.25 ⭐ for me! This is a cute little rom-com, If you love a slow burn, then this is FOR YOU! Hunter has a new roommate, who just so happens to be the brother of her best friend that she’s been pining for, for years(!)
❤️🔥 Slow-Burn
❤️🔥 Best friends brother
❤️🔥 Forced Proximity 🤌🏼🤌🏼
❤️🔥 Friends to lovers
I’m not the biggest fan of a love triangle, but this did it for me. However, i did find the slow burn a little tooooo slow for my taste. But regardless, I found myself burning through this book. Even though this is the 3rd book in a series, it works as a stand-alone. I’ll definitely be reading the rest of the series to learn more about the characters in this world. This was a cute, low-stakes, rom-com that really had some funny moments sprinkled in!

The Roommate Experiment is book #3 in the Funny Feelings interconnected, standalone series from Camilla Isley. The roommate-to-lovers trope was so fun and comical with plenty of forced proximity. Hunter has carried a torch for her best friend’s brother for almost a decade so when Dylan moves in as her new roommate, sparks should fly, right? Not if his Cinderella-like girlfriend has anything to say about it!
This was a fun, relatable read with plenty of fodder for book-loving Swifties. Cameos from other Funny Feelings characters are fun little insider sneak peaks into storylines from the other books. Hunter and Dylan’s chemistry felt natural, albeit a little chaotic (aren’t we all?). And while the romance stays on the lighter side with closed-door hints, it still manages to feel satisfyingly spicy.
In the end, The Roommate Experiment doesn’t reinvent the genre, but it leans into its strengths with charisma. It’s an enjoyable, comfort read kind of romance that feels believable, heartfelt, and just swoony enough to keep you flipping pages.

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read an early copy of this book and provide an honest review,
Can I just say this slow burn romance was definitely that, but I enjoyed that I had to keep reading, getting to know the characters and their personalities and how they interacted with each other before they acted on their obvious feelings for each other. I loved the plot, it was interesting and well written. I will definitely recommend this book to those fans of slow burn romances.

Hunter has secretly been in love with her best friend’s brother Dylan for years, so when Dylan takes over her spare room, suddenly she finds herself going from someone insignificant in his life to a roommate. When Dylan moves in, he carries more than just boxes; he brings complications, making him definitely off-limits to her. Yet when he saves her from a terrible date and they’re forced to share a sofa bed at his parents’ house, her emotions reach a breaking point.
Dylan was quite a frustrating character who spent most of the book trying to break up with his current girlfriend while having feelings for Hunter. Hunter did truly deserve better, but that is also hard to say when her feelings for Dylan are overwhelming, having had a crush on him for over ten years. I had wanted to explore more of their relationship and wished that when they had become a couple, more time would have been given to them. A sweet read overall.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
