Your Husband's Fault- Kerry Wilkinson
Do we ever really know someone fully? Even the person who shares our bed, shares our life, shares our child?
None of these questions had occurred to Sarah prior to their move to Puddlebrick Cottage. Village life was always going to be an adjustment after living in the city but Sarah had no idea what she had gotten herself into. While dropping her son off for his first day at his new school, she meets some of the local parents and upon finding out who she is and more importantly, who she is married to, one parent asked her the question that alters the course of her life forever-
"Don't you know what your husband did?"
This is the second book I have read by the incredible thriller powerhouse that is @kerry.wilkinson
I am HOOKED. I read this book in a matter of hours. What I truly love about Kerry's books is that I just cannot predict the ending. I can never figure out who the killer is and Wilkinson is the master of plot twists, constantly pulling the rug out from underneath the reader.
I found myself racing to get to the final pages to get the answers that I pursued hungrily amongst the pages. This is a gripping read from start to finish. An unputdownable, page turner than any fan of thrillers would enjoy immensely.
I think Kerry also captures perfectly, what small towns and villages can be like and how claustrophobic it can be to exist within them.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Your Husband's Fault by Kerry Wilkinson is a twisty and engrossing domestic suspense thriller that will keep you second guessing until the final reveal!!
When Sarah, her husband James and their six year old son move back to James's hometown, Sarah is thrilled at the chance to live a more peaceful and quiet life away from the city. Their little cottage is the perfect place to finally settle down and despite James's reluctance to be back in his hometown, Sarah is hopeful for their fresh start. But when one of the moms at the school gates starts chatting with Sarah, she is shocked by what she reveals. James's best friend Lucy disappeared twenty years ago, and the small town seems to think James is responsible for Lucy's death. How well does Sarah really know her husband?
This is the second book by Kerry Wilkinson that I have read and he is becoming an auto read author for me!! This story is taut, twisty, and full of secrets, and the more I read the more I doubted who I could trust! The pacing was a bit of a slow burn at the beginning, but I liked how this set up the tension for the rest of the book. Overall, another great read that is perfect for fans of small town secrets, domestic suspense, and clever reveals!!

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of Your Husband's Fault by Kerry Wilkinson in return for my honest review.

Whew! What a week!! If I were Sarah I’d hightail it out of town after everything she endures.
But that isn’t an option for her. However, she’s learning a lot about her husband’s past that she never had an inkling about.
My sleuthing skills were on vacation because I couldn’t figure out how this all came together until the author was ready for me to know.
And wow, know I did!! Until the end!!! It’s like the choose your own adventures except it’s the ending. I know what I think Sarah’s choice was. My next decision would be to move!

What a wild ride . This was a propulsive read that I devoured . Kerry has a knack for luring you in early on in a book and this was no exception .
Twisted , fast and a few omg moments . Loved it

Sarah persuades her husband james to move back to his childhood village. The first day there at the school gates she learns her husband might have had good reason not to move back as the villagers are convinced he is responsible for the murder of a local girl his best friend who vanished years ago and never been found. The pacing was really slow to start with as Sarah tried to find out the truth and stumbles across many more secrets.. The other characters are well written and there is a good dripping reveal of the past to the present in an non linear form. I would loved to have had a pov from james and some of the other characters rather than see it through their interactions with others. The final reveal blew me away , loved the red herrings . Was a little predictable in places but highly recommend this to anyone who loves a good mystery. Thank you netgallery, publisher and author for this 4 star read.

Sarah is so happy to have moved from the city to her husband's small hometown. James was strangely reluctant at first - but she convinced him their little cottage was the perfect place to settle down. The perfect place to give their six-year-old son a new life Then a woman at the school gates asks Sarah if she's really married to "that man." "What man?"Sarah asks. The woman replies.... "Don't you know what your husband did"?
Sarah never thought that when she moved to her husband's small hometown that she would be shunned at the school gates by the other mothers. She finds out that her husband was involved in the disappearance of his best friend Lucy. He's also keeping lots of secrets from her.
The pace is slow to start with as we go back to find out what happened in James' past and the present day as Sarah tries to discover the truth. The plot was a bit predictable, but there were some surprises along the way. The story is told from Sarah' perspective.

I would like to thank #NetGalley #Bookouture and the author #KerryWilkinson for my ARC of #YourHusbandsFault in exchange for an honest review.

Your Husband’s Fault begins in the first chapter by drawing readers into Sarah’s reality, which initially feels normal before everything starts to break down.
Sarah becomes the kind of character that I immediately supported because she embodies the struggles of many women who aim to build a stable family life while facing potential deception from their closest loved ones. Sarah expects a new beginning with her family when she manages to persuade James to relocate them to the quiet town of his childhood. The family finds themselves trapped in a complex network of doubts and concealed information that accompanies them no matter where they go.
The emotional turmoil Sarah faces throughout the book becomes so vividly realistic because Wilkinson masterfully portrays her experiences. The close-knit community forces her into a position where she must endure its residents' knowledge of secrets that they refuse to reveal. Sarah discovers the truth about Lucy who vanished many years ago which leads her to suspect James' involvement and reveals her family's existence as a facade of safety.
The process of Sarah's reality breaking down produces an unsettling feeling. Every foundation she builds ends in being destroyed by emerging truths. Every page reveals her growing sense of loneliness and Wilkinson maintains such high tension that you doubt every character's intentions just like Sarah does.
Sarah demonstrates resilience while questioning her circumstances because she will do whatever it takes to protect her son from the collapsing marriage foundation. By the time she reaches the end of the book her complete change becomes unmistakable. Her journey begins with a desperate grip on trust until she becomes someone who must surrender everything she ever believed to survive.
Your Husband’s Fault presents beyond basic thriller elements since it examines the dramatic consequences of when love conflicts with trust and truth. Sarah’s adventure through life will remain deeply embedded in my mind. Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for this opportunity.

Kerry Wilkinson’s Your Husband’s Fault spins a gripping web of suspicion, secrets, and small-town paranoia. Sarah is eager to start fresh in her husband James’s hometown, envisioning a peaceful life in their charming cottage. But the illusion of safety is shattered when a stranger drops a chilling question at the school gates—one that casts a long, dark shadow over James’s past. Wilkinson masterfully layers suspense as Sarah uncovers disturbing whispers about James’s connection to the decades-old disappearance of his childhood friend, Lucy. The story hooks you with its slow-burn tension, feeding doubt and dread in equal measure as Sarah spirals into paranoia. Is her husband hiding something unforgivable—or is he just a victim of buried gossip and old wounds? The novel thrives on its atmosphere—claustrophobic, gossipy, and charged with mistrust. The final reveal is clever and unsettling, with just enough ambiguity to haunt you after the last page.

My thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read ‘Your Husband’s Fault’ written by Kerry Wilkinson in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
Sarah Parkinson persuades her husband James to move to the town where he grew up and where she hopes their son Oliver will get a better education. James is in New York so Sarah moves into Puddlebrick Cottage with the help of her father but on Oliver’s first day at school it becomes clear that everyone thinks James killed his best friend Lucy who disappeared twenty years ago. Sarah thought she knew her husband but it soon becomes apparent there are secrets he’s been keeping from her.
‘Your Husband’s Fault’ is an involving thriller set in the small town of Carnington where there are rumours going around involving Sarah’s husband James as the neighbours tell her that he’s a killer. I’ve been gripped from page one as the neighbours spread rumours so that it’s difficult to know who can be trusted, and Sarah wonders why James hasn’t told her about Lucy before. The town’s tight-knit community and inhabitants, and the situation Sarah finds herself in, are nicely described and the further I read the more I wanted to find out the truth about James and what happened in the past. As I reached the final chapters they became so exciting that I couldn’t stop reading, and then I reached the final page with its unbelievable twist that I’ve since read over and over again. As a consequence I’m left with a mystery as although Sarah has a greater understanding of her husband I’m still not sure what she told Eric to do!

When Sarah, her husband James, and their six-year-old son move to James’s hometown, she’s thrilled at the prospect of a quieter life away from the city. But just as they’re about to relocate, James is called away to New York on business, leaving Sarah to handle the move alone—thankfully with a bit of help from her dad.
Her son is eager to start his first day at his new school and runs off happily to join the other children. But things take a strange turn for Sarah at the school gates. A woman, friendly at first, suddenly becomes cold when Sarah mentions who her husband is. Then comes the chilling question: “Don’t you know what your husband did?”
From that moment on, Sarah’s world begins to unravel—graffiti appears on her gate, and before long, shocking accusations surface, even as far as murder. Has she really married the man she thought she knew?
Another brilliant thriller from Kerry Wilkinson! I’ve enjoyed every one of his books, and this one is no exception. Gripping, suspenseful, and hard to put down—highly recommended!

When Sarah and James move to the peaceful village of Carnington, she thinks they’re building a perfect life for their son—until a chilling revelation shatters everything. James, whose real name is Abraham, was once suspected in the disappearance of his best friend. Though cleared, the town hasn’t forgotten.
This fast-paced thriller had me hooked from the start. Sarah is a strong, relatable lead, and the suspense kept me second-guessing everyone. Twists, secrets, and a jaw-dropping ending make this a must-read. I never saw the final reveal coming and loved every minute of the ride!
I would like to thank Bookouture & NetGalley for providing an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest and fair review

Sarah and James move from the bustle of the city to James' small hometown. From the start, Sarah runs into gossip and trouble. 20+ years ago, James' best friend Lucy disappeared and the whole town thinks he murdered her. Sarah is stuck on why James never mentioned Lucy to her before. Did he do what the town says? Can she trust him anymore?
It's hard to pinpoint what exactly didn't stick for me here, but I didn't like this as much as I'd hoped. This felt like a fairly average thriller novel. It is definitely a quick read, with short chapters that fly by. It has suspense, twists, and small town secrets. I just didn't particularly connect with the characters. James is meant to be mysterious but we don't get to know much about Sarah at all, either. By the end, some of her decision-making was driving me crazy.
Recommended for fans of quick domestic thrillers.
Thank you Bookouture and NetGalley for the ARC.

5*
I really enjoyed reading this book, it was gripping and hard to put down. I needed to know what was happening and what happened all those years ago. I wasn’t expecting the twists near the end either! Absolutely recommend this book

Your Husband’s Fault
An unforgettable twisted thriller. Unpredictable plot with a heart-racing ending. 4 stars
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this advanced copy

An enjoyable read that was well paced with a good level of suspense and good number of twists that kept me guessing all the way through.

A recent mystery story from Kerry, I’ve read loads jd his books but didn’t feel this had as much suspense as others. This one did keep me guessing though and there was a twist I didn’t guess. I felt Abraham wasn’t very likeable and I felt sorry for Sarah

This was a fast-paced thriller with short chapters that made it easy to fly through. The pacing was a bit slow at the start, but it definitely picked up as the story progressed. I enjoyed the small town setting where everyone has secrets and there’s a constant sense of suspicion that keeps you on edge. That being said, some parts felt repetitive and it was hard to believe that a 30-year-old mystery could be solved by the main character in under a week . Although the reveal at the end was quite predictable, If you like twisty mysteries where no one can be trusted this one has plenty to offer.
