Twenty-one-year-old Jess used to have everything—a loyal best friend, a boyfriend she loved, and a future that was right on track. But in a single night, her whole world changed.

Now, Jess lives for the impersonal connection of drunken hook-ups and to-go coffee cups in the morning. All she needs is one night to pretend everything is fine…until she meets Adam.

One Night has been on my TBR for freaking ages. Truthfully, I'm actually embarrassed by how long it took me to get around to it. I enjoyed it, but it just wasn't quite love for me.

My biggest issue with One Night was that I struggled to connect with Jess. I can't pinpoint exactly why I didn't connect with her however. I didn't dislike her character. In fact, the longer the book went on the more I sympathized with her. Unfortunately, I also got a bit annoyed with her back and forth when it came to Adam. Now Adam? I loved me some Adam. He was so sweet and the way he cared for Jess made me swoon. Their friends to more romance was sweet.

One Night was a solid book. It was a quick read. I liked the romance, but missed the feels I think I'd have had if I truly connected with Jess. Sadly, I did not. Now all that said, I'm really interested in Jess' roommate's book, so I did snag it from Amazon after finishing this one.

FAVORITE QUOTES

"You're beautiful and funny and smart and all of these things. How could you think you're anything less?"

Maybe we can seal some of the cracks for each other. Maybe the next time we break, there will be fewer pieces to pick up.

Sexy. Sweet. Unforgettable. I love this author and the stories she writes. Great chemistry. Undeniable attraction. Smoldering tension. Characters that make you feel everything. Highly recommended this book y'all!

I'll start by saying that I loved Adam, he was so kind and patient. And while he's a collage sports star who was put through the emotional ringer by his ex he didn't do the thing that you normally read about in these books. Adam Carson is NOT a manwhore, people! I also loved Zoe, she was there for Jess but she didn't tolerat any of her shit. I also loved Regan. Hell I even liked Jess's ex who she spent a good chunk of time trying to villainize he seemed like pretty great guy. However I did not like Jess. I felt for her what she went though was really rough but she was just so whiny and selfish all the time.
