i mean hello! what a book. what a strong female character. this book had me at the blurb and that hooked me from the first page.
i was in and it was a brilliant choice. i almost swept passed it being a new adult book. and boy im glad i didnt. our female main characters was such a brave kick ass thing. she didnt give up and she played the game for justice. i was both in awe of her and hoping for her. because she was in danger of both body and heart and by the end i just needed for this woman to be ok.
this is a must read. it does have some forewarning so i would take note of them.
its ok for books not to be ok for you at certain times. you are "woke" or weak. and if they would be too much or triggers than that only makes you braver in my opinion for going through such things that mean reading this kind of content would feel too much.

5 stars for Silas and Solaris' relationship. I do know that with Silas' knowledge of secrets, I understand Solaris' feelings regarding his exiting her life. However, I definitely think both of them are two people who have been a part of things out of their control, yet after Solaris' mother's death they do become players within the game in order to get the revenge and insight that is needed.

The James' family is full of entangled webs and no one is safe. This is a really good story in my opinion and I encourage readers to listen to the forewarning that is at the beginning of the book, before the story.
