How. Stinking. Cute. This is such a fun read! I love that there’s a list of ways to involve your kids in your homesteading at the end, makes it almost interactive!

Don't mind me... I'm just going to go buy 50 acres of land, plant dozens of fruit trees and a vegetable garden, learn to sew, and go buy a few baby farm animals. It sounds like a dream come true! This book is such a motivator for me to live simply/enjoy the simple things and build a homestead (once we finally are free of the military lifestyle). The illustrations are stunning and heartwarming as well. I am so happy I was able to read an advance copy of this incredible children's book. Thank you, NetGalley!

I really loved all aspects of this book — from the beautiful artwork to the theme and the honest, clever descriptions. I felt like this book got to the point (appreciated this very much) and wasn’t overly gratuitous (which some children’s book can be) with the wording they chose.
If you’re a kid whose family homesteads: this is such a wonderful piece of representation for you!
If you’re a kid who is unfamiliar with homesteading: this is such an interesting introduction for you!
Everybody wins with this one!!
The list of 20+ ways children can get involved in homesteading in the back of the book is a home run! Some of the items are general (make gifts for friends and neighbors) and others are super specific (prepare garlic for storage) and I feel like there is something on the list for everyone and every capability.
My kids and I both enjoyed this one and I think your family will, too!

I loved the illustrations and think this book will be great for teaching kids vocabulary. I also loved the part at the end about how kids can participate in. Can’t wait to read this to my cousin.

A cute and cozy alphabetic book, which teaches more than words and letter. Each letter representing a word that has a value in our lives, apart from a random word, these 26 words provide essence of a happy life and family, filled with happiness and love!
This is a perfect alphabet book.

I enjoy the alphabet books a lot, especially ones like M Is for Mason Jar, where we get to learn about something more than just apples, balls and cats! This was a delight to read! We learn a lot about homestead through Carloyn Bennett Fraiser's lovely text, which is paired wonderously with beautiful illustrations by Sally Garland, which add a lot of details to the story with bright colors and amazing textures. I enjoyed reading this a lot!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Cute and cozy. A few of these felt oddly specific or a bit of a stretch, but no doubt kids familiar with homesteading or country life will be familiar with the aspects. Good pick for ages 2-5.
Thank you to NG and Familius for the advanced copy.

This was such an enjoyable way to look at the alphabet. The images in the book were beautifully drawn and we're not overly stimulating for young children. I loved the inclusion of alliteration which can make it enjoyable for young readers, but also can make the book be used as a learning tool for slightly older students when studying learning devices. The last page of the book was a wonderful drawing, and I loved that it included ways that children at home can get involved in the activities mentioned for each letter.

A thoughtful and insightful alphabet story. Illustrations were so vivid and loved the characters! I was looking for a gift for a baby shower and this delivered 100%! I have already pre ordered multiple copies to give as gifts for the younger children in my family! Will be recommending to friends as well!

I thought this was a really sweet children’s book. The pictures were cute and give you a lot to talk talk about as you read it to your kids, the alliteration made it a little tongue twister-y, but fun, and I really appreciated the 26 ways to get kids involved in homesteading ideas.

I love the alliteration! All the drawing and fun and give that old little house on the prairie vibe that’s very fitting for this book. I will say reading out loud may be a challenge as some of the letters were a bit of a tongue twister.
