This is a combination of story and non-fiction all told in a graphic novel format. In a way it reminds me of Calvin and Hobbs as you have a young child with their stuffy that comes alive when nobody’s looking. In the case of this book, the stuffy uses empty boxes as teleportation devices to teach their best friend lessons rather than get in trouble. Altogether this series just works and I think kids will find it fun and parents would feel the nostalgia and start to miss Calvin and Hobbs.

This is a very fun educational book. Young readers will learn about the sleeping habits of different animals and about how other animals loose their teeth. I love books like this that make learning interesting and fun!

This is quickly becoming one of my favorite graphic novel series for young kids. I love how to Jackson, Irwin is real, that Irwin is kind and patience and willing to help Jackson in new situations, and all the super fun facts we get to discover about animals.

Jackson and his dad have moved to a new home and Jackson not only loses his tooth, but now has to sleep in a brand new room. Irwin introduces Jackson to crocodiles, bull sharks, and capybaras to learn about different animal teeth. Then he takes them on an adventure to learn about the Ussuri Tube-Nose bat, the Wood frog, and the Pocket Mouse and how these critters sleep. Irwin helps Jackson feel comfortable with the changes, and Jackson proves that curiosity is the best thing to have. Filled with fun facts and great humor, I hope this series continues for a long time.
