I didn’t think Ben Clanton could possibly top himself, but then I read A Waffle Lot of Love!
This might be the sweetest Narwhal and Jelly Book yet. When Jelly gives Narwhal a card for Palentine’s Day, Narwhal’s lovable and highly distractible - ooh! look over there! Something shiny!
Wait. What was I saying?
Oh. Right.
Narwhal darts from one idea to the next, eagerly finding ways to show how much they care for Jelly.
I highly recommend this delightful entry in the Narwhal and Jelly series.
*Thank you to Tundra Books and NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions my own.*

My six-year-old son LOVED this book. I've never heard him laugh so much while reading together. In the book, Narwhal and Jelly navigate friendship and how they each think about it. When Narwhal realizes that it's Palentines day he wants to go all out and show Jelly how much their friendship means to him. He makes a card, brings loads of waffles (of course!), and does some pretty grand gestures--but all Jelly really wants is to spend time together. This has all of the classics of the previous books in the series: humor, big ideas/topics, cool facts, a comic episode, and the loveable characters we've gotten to know. This is one of our favorite books yet and we'll definitely be buying it in hard copy when it comes out. Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC. Five stars and beyond!

I will always adore Narwhal and Jelly, so when Book #10 popped up in Netgalley I couldn't resist reading! This book includes endearing messages of friendship, and shows Narwhal trying too hard to be the best friend he can be. It will be a welcome addition to the series!

We are big Narwhal and Jelly fans over here, so my girls and I were thrilled to get the ARC of their newest adventure from NetGalley.
In this installment, Narwhal and Jelly are celebrating PALentine’s Day. Jelly is ready to go on an adventure with Narwhal, but Narwhal wants to show his appreciation of Jelly through material objects first. As always, the illustrations and antics are amazing and hilarious. My kids couldn’t stop giggling and requested a re-read immediately after finishing the story. As an adult, I appreciate the real-life sea creature information as well as the emphasis that quality time is more important than material gifts. We will be purchasing this once it’s released at the end of the year.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Tundra Books for an advanced copy of this book.

Thank you Penguin Random House Canada for this ARC!
My kiddo really enjoyed this story, unfortunately it was not my favorite Narwhal and Jelly book. It’s basically a book of call backs to other adventures. It felt chaotic and overwhelming to me at some points and Jelly spends most of the book feeling bad. Overall though if your kids like Narwhal and Jelly then they’ll most likely enjoy this as well

My kids loved this book. There were a lot of laughs and it was a really sweet story. The friendship between Narwhal and Jelly was fun to read about.

I have been reading the Narwhal and Jelly series with my children and students since they came out. I have loved them all and this was no exception.
I chose to read this to my 7 year old at bedtime and he was CACKLING. The humor was right at his level and the puns were punning. I'm pretty sure he asked me, "Get it...?" after every page. This was a joyful experience.
I imagine I'd have similar results if I read this to a classroom of students. It would be a great way to teach puns/word play and context clues to my multilingual students. It was also a really great story to teach kids about the value of presence over presents. I can see this being a part of SEL lessons.
I asked my son how many stars he would give this out of five. His response was, "Fifty hundred."
I agree.

Narwhal and Jelly—gotta love them!
Ben Clanton does a wonderful job bringing these characters to life with a fun, upbeat attitude. I especially love the little facts about other sea creatures sprinkled throughout. And the illustrations? So cute, fun, and totally engaging! If you haven’t read a Narwhal and Jelly book yet, I highly recommend checking them out with your kiddos.
** Thank you NetGalley, Tundra Book Group, and Ben Clanton for an eARC copy of A Waffle Lot of Love!.

A Waffle Lot of Love, by Ben Clanton, is number 10 in the Narwhal and Jelly series and is just what I love to see! Narwhal and Jelly show how to be good friends and model kindness, sharing, and support. They also eat a lot of waffles along the way! These books are great for young readers and a joy for adults to enjoy as well! My son and I giggle together as he reads me the books in this series! The pictures are great, and we live the addition of scientific facts that are included!

C U T E! The kids love Narwhal and Jelly (they are constantly checked out at my library) and this one will be no different. The art and word play is fun, as always, and even though I as a grown up don't love the superhero comic interlude in these books, I love the rest. I also share Narwhal's passion for waffles. A definite crowd-pleaser of a tenth book and an easy recommend.

My 7 1/2.year old led the way in leading this one, and was cackling for most of the book. We're big Narwal and Jelly fans in this house, and their newest story doesn't disappoint! It will be a super fun addition to your Valentine's Day book repertoire if there's a kid in your life!

Consulted my 2nd grader for this one. 5 stars from both of us. In this delightful 10th book of the series, Narwhal’s Palentine’s Day takes readers on a hilarious journey with best buds Narwhal and Jelly. Narwhal’s over-the-top attempts to celebrate PALentine’s Day with extravagant gifts for Jelly go a little too far—waffles, songs, and more waffles! Jelly, while grateful, just wants Narwhal’s time and presence instead of all the grand gestures.
This heartwarming story captures the true spirit of friendship in the most charming, funny way. With bonus fun facts and the perfect balance of humor and heart, this book is a must-read for fans of Narwhal and Jelly.

Way cute! I love the illustrations. I think the way this mixes random-ness with facts and fun makes so much sense for the age group.

A Waffle Lot of Love was absolutely adorable!
My kids loved reading this one with me! My kiddos are ages 12,10 and 7! We all enjoyed it! The story was so cute & will have you wanting waffles afterwards! The pictures we cute and fun! Definitely a recommended read in our household!

Great addition to the Narwhal and Jelly series -- fun word play, our favorite characters, continued joke about "see you later alligator" and lots of insight about relationships and friendship!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an electronic copy to read in exchange for an honest review.
I adore this series. And Ben Clanton. Narwhal and Jelly are some of my favourite characters to share with students (along with Elephant and Piggie). I love that this one highlights friendships and spending time together over giving things.

The Narwhal and Jelly books are fan favs and Ben just keeps coming up with the goods. Great for early readers and getting started in graphic novels.
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my hoenst review.

Thank you NetGalley, Tundra Books, and Ben Clanton for the early access copy of A Waffle Lot of Love!
A Waffle Lot of Love! is the newest addition to the amazing Narwhal and Jelly series. The story surrounds Jelly giving a nice card to Narwhal, and Narwhal wanting to show how much they care about Jelly that they start giving an abundance of gifts, waffles, and more waffles. The lesson focuses on that while they appreciate the gifts, time together is the best of all. It shows how grateful for each other's friendship they both are.
This will be a fantastic addition to any library, school, or home, who are fans of Ben Clanton.

ARC Copy...The dynamic duo and best "sea buds" in arms are at it again with lots of waffles, a lot of friendship, and...alot of call backs to previous escapades!

I love all of the Narwhal & Jelly books and the newest book in the series A Waffle Full of Love did not disappoint! Full of laugh out loud moments & charming illustrations you will fall in love with these 2 best friends! You also may be craving waffles once you finish reading!
