This was a an adorable little read- I had initially requested it because one of the kids I work with really likes this series! The comic style illustrations are super fun, and the art style is very cutesy (which I love). And because it’s written in a comic/graphic novel style it was a really quick read! This is perfect for kids aged 4-7. I honestly have no notes, this would make a great addition to any kids book collection. It makes reading more “fun” for kids that may enjoy reading less and I love anything that gets kids into reading!

My 8 year old kiddo and I read and loved this next book in the Narwhal and Jelly series. Just as funny, endearing and enjoyable as always, with beautiful illustrations.

In this excellent addition to the series, Narwhal learns that time spent with your friend is more valuable than any gift. The addition of several "books" to the story breaks up the main plot nicely. I also liked the multiple other friendships and the puns.

As with all the Narwhal and Jelly books, this was delightful! Their friendship, being a tested a little bit by expectations (and waffles), comes full circle where they get the message across that being friends means sharing experiences and not necessarily about things or gifts. Very cute and my 11 year old loved it, being a big fan of the series.

Narwhal and Jelly are fan favorites for my kids. In this story, they focus on Palentine’s Day (aka-best buddy day). While jelly wants to have a great adventure with Narwhal, Narwhal keeps getting distracted with tasks to show how much he appreciates Jelly.

Mom review: I’m sold because there was a nudibranch in the story! More students should be aware nudibranch. In all seriousness, we love the randomness and silliness of narwhal. This story had plenty of ways to say goodbye or see you later that were enjoyable.

Kids review: my kids (9 and 7) loved all the ridiculous amounts of waffles. They also love the illustrations as they find them easy to draw and inspires them to make their own stories. Their favorite part was the shell-phone. Kids love a good pun.

Educator review: I love the humor and lightheartedness of Narwhal and Jelly. The word play and silliness is hard for some students that are multi-linguistic or struggle with nuance, but will still laugh and giggle.

I loved the small section on symbiotic relationships! Great science connection.

Thanks @NetGalley and @TundraBookGroup for the advanced digital copy.

I loved reading this story with my little ones. The language and phrases used were silly and fun. There were educational parts that were interesting and also got a good laugh out of my kids and I. Lastly, the art and storyline was enjoyable and cute. I loved the focus on friendship and working together. We actually have not read any of the other stories in this series so we will definitely be going back to look for those since my kids really enjoyed reading this one so much. Thank you so much for sharing this ARC with us!

My kid loves this series so when I saw it I had to request it. I was so excited to tell him we got it, and I got the super excited

He loved that it was a fun book about PALentine's day where it was about the joy of friendship and celebrating together. I love uplifting books for kids and there were so many fun sayings that we giggled together about like:
"Ciao for now, dairy cow!
"Toodleoo kangaroo"
"Won't be long King Kong!"
"Be back in a mo, mango!"

This series is a recommend from our family!

I haven’t read Narwhal and Jelly yet. Having said that, it won’t be my last time I pick up a book with this dynamic duo. I love the illustrations. They are almost as if a kid drew them, which makes me happy. I love the upbeat characters and the play on words. I also enjoyed the friendship these two share and how they seem to want to please each other. We know who the literal character is and then we have Narwhal, which I can relate to. Many of my students I have in speech therapy are a bit on the side of being over enthusiastic.
This is a wonderful kids book and I’m will be sharing it with my younger population.

A fun and adorable read for the younger readers. The stories are silly but tend to be heartwarming and the friendship is beyond adorable. There’s plenty of illustrations to capture young hearts.

Thank you so much for the arc!

This was such an adorable read. The art style is so eye catching and cute. The story is also very sweet, what a great dynamic duo. I will be buying the earlier books and showing my nephew and niece!

The illustration in this book is pure eye candy! The easy to read writing makes it perfect for beginner readers. Together, the comic style writing and illustration make the perfect combo to help encourage children to develop their love for reading because they won’t want to put it down. I can’t wait to order a copy for my niece, she is going to flip out over how cute Jelly and Narwhal are.

Thanks to the publishers and netgalley for this ARC!

This was delightful, silly, and cutesy. I love the narwhal and jelly books and I absolutely loved the message of this one - don't forget to include your friends, even when you're showing them love! This one will be well-loved, I think!

This latest installment of a narwhal and jelly book is absolutely adorable! They are celebrating PALintines day and showing love and appreciation for one another. There are other pals that are celebrating as well! And great education on animals that are pals.

My 3 year old loves the book! Though with “see you later alligator” he wanted to see an alligator so bad! :)
And he loved the “fighting” images and sharks. So so cute!

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

A Waffle Lot of Love is an amazing addition to the Narwhal and Jelly series! Narwhal expresses his love for his friendship with Jelly, but Jelly is left feeling left out while Narwhal continually disappears to make gifts and surprises for Jelly. In the end the two realize that doing things together is far better. A must have in all children's graphic novel collections!

This was a cute book about "palentines day". A great day to celebrate friends. This was my first Narwhal and Jelly book.
The book is written in comic book style making it easy and fun to read for young readers. The book was very silly, with lots of rhyming and waffles. My son and I enjoyed reading this together and we laughed at some of Narwhal's silly antics and the insane amount of waffles.

Thank you NetGalley and the author for this e-arc. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

My son and I have all of these books and adore them. My son was so excited when I told him we had an early ARC, and he got to read this before it was released! Thank you so much, Tundra books!

I assume you have read several other books in the series since this is book 10. It does have a lot of callbacks to their previous adventures. You can expect the same silliness, rhyming, and waffles as the other stories. This one is about their friendship and celebrating Valentine’s Day! It was truly adorable. Oh my goodness, this one is full of so many waffles! Haha. I loved the rhyming and the cute little catchphrases. My son was laughing out loud at all the phrases and silliness that Narwhal got up to. If your kids enjoyed the previous books in this series, they will like this one!

Thank you, Tundra Books, for the e-arc. All thoughts and opinions are my own!

I didn’t think Ben Clanton could possibly top himself, but then I read A Waffle Lot of Love!

This might be the sweetest Narwhal and Jelly Book yet. When Jelly gives Narwhal a card for Palentine’s Day, Narwhal’s lovable and highly distractible - ooh! look over there! Something shiny!

Wait. What was I saying?

Oh. Right.

Narwhal darts from one idea to the next, eagerly finding ways to show how much they care for Jelly.

I highly recommend this delightful entry in the Narwhal and Jelly series.

My six-year-old son LOVED this book. I've never heard him laugh so much while reading together. In the book, Narwhal and Jelly navigate friendship and how they each think about it. When Narwhal realizes that it's Palentines day he wants to go all out and show Jelly how much their friendship means to him. He makes a card, brings loads of waffles (of course!), and does some pretty grand gestures--but all Jelly really wants is to spend time together. This has all of the classics of the previous books in the series: humor, big ideas/topics, cool facts, a comic episode, and the loveable characters we've gotten to know. This is one of our favorite books yet and we'll definitely be buying it in hard copy when it comes out. Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC. Five stars and beyond!

I will always adore Narwhal and Jelly, so when Book #10 popped up in Netgalley I couldn't resist reading! This book includes endearing messages of friendship, and shows Narwhal trying too hard to be the best friend he can be. It will be a welcome addition to the series!
