Dr Jorgensen’s book “Living Well” invites the reader to “ rediscover the extraordinary healing potential with you”.

This is a fabulous book, with lots of easily understandable information to help the reader become an agent for their proactive health rather than waiting until symptoms arise and need to be repaired.

For those interested in reading health “literature” they would have noticed a rise in life span/ health span books in recent years. This book also comes from the place of health span rather than life span but is very worthy of this space, it presents the facts in a very clear, concise manner which is easy to comprehend and enjoyable to read.

I enjoyed the Elements of Wellness outlined along with the Seasons of Wellness assessment.

Dr Jorgensen breaks down cell health into a 4 step model she calls the Cell Well Model. Reading this I found profoundly helpful, yes it’s obvious that we cannot be well if our living cells aren’t well but the way this was presented was so insightful for me.

I loved the analogy of wellness being a dimmer switch, of which we can turn up for optimal effect.

I highly recommend this wonderful, informative book for anyone who is interested in dialling up their own wellness and in turn creating a better health span for their future.

As a health and wellness junkie, I’ve read widely on all manner of physical and mental health topics so unfortunately there was nothing new for me here, but perhaps those new to the genre may find it a good starting point.
