Tessa Bailey can be hit or miss for me, but this one was definitely a hit. I loved it.
Robbie was so over the top about Skylar and I loved his dedication. If only all fuck boys could be changed by a pretty girl calling them out on their shit.

I have read a few Tessa Bailey books before and this is the best by far. I read the whole thing in under 12 hours, I simply couldn’t put it down. There are so many elements that elevate the love story and make you care about the characters.

Heavy handed as all Tessa Bailey books are, but a fun, easy, enjoyable read overall. I love that both love interests are athletes in this one rather than just the man. Funny and sweet.

Pitcher Perfect is a cute sports romance featuring Robbie Corrigan a hockey player and Skylar Paige a softball pitcher. After a tense matchup these two join forces where Robbie tries to help Skylar get the attention of the guy she really likes.
I really enjoyed this book. I love the build up and the relationship building ring Robbie and Skylar.
I love seeing the internal struggle that they go through but also Skylar struggling with where she fits in with her family. Robbie is a dream and tries hard to uplift Skylar and respect her boundaries. I do wish there was a little more tension in the beginning of their relationship but their sexual tension is still of the charts. I really loved this book and I and wait to see it released!

This story is, as expected, a very enjoyable book by Tessa Bailey. I love a good sports romance, and this one for sure did not disappoint with the hockey guy baseball/softball girl. The premise of the story is that Skylar has been infatuated with her brother's best friend, Madden, since childhood. She's finally ready to try to get him to see her as a girl instead of one of the guys that grew up with him. In comes Robbie. Robbie is a womanizer that realizes he needs to knock his sh!t off when he gets blown away by meeting Skylar. Skylar asks Robbie to spend a week with her and her family to fake date and teach her how to be more knowledgeable in flirting and seduction. The plan backfires and they fall in love during the week of fake dating. I loved the story, but it felt a bit rushed in the relationship department and the time frame of falling in love and getting to know each other. If they had known each other for more than a few days before this whole scheme I think it would have been a more believable timeframe. I also felt it was a bit unrealistic that Robbie took one look at Skylar and decided he needed to reform his ways. That being said I still really loved this book, but the rushed timeline made me go with a 3.5 star over a 4 star rating.
Thanks NetGalley for this eARC book!

I love this series, and the fourth installment was no exception! Robbie is an NHL player and meets Skylar, a softball pitcher. They have a rough introduction with each other during a game, but sparks fly. They begin fake dating and visit Skylar’s family at their annual family competition as teammates. It’s a fun time and another great read from Tessa Bailey! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this advanced copy.

Well I’m apparently becoming a big fan of sports romance because once again I stayed up way too late bingeing this book! This was such a fun read and I felt like I had the biggest smile for most of it. It is dual POV but I was very surprised to find that the majority was from the MMC POV and that I was really happy about it since I loved him so much!
The only hold up I had with this book was the unbelievable timeframe because no pro NHL player would be going out of town the week leading up to the playoffs, especially not to participate in a competition with the family of the girl he just met. And his teammates definitely wouldn’t be onboard with him going either. But we don’t read stories like this because we think they’re believable. We read them for the fun and romance and this book definitely delivered!
Thank you so much to Avon and NetGalley for the eARC and these thoughts and opinions are my own.

Thank you NetGalley, Avon and Harper Voyager, and Tessa Bailey for an advanced copy of this book!
I really liked this one! I didn’t read books 1-3 and I wish I would have. It’s written as a standalone, but it’s obvious the characters from other books are making an appearance and I wish I would’ve had their stories going into this one.
The banter was so fun and the love story was really sweet. The only thing that threw me off was that it’s written in third person, which got a little confusing at times. But overall, I enjoyed it and definitely rooted for the couple the whole way through.

Pitcher Perfect was heartwarmingly adorable and funny. I loved it as much as Fangirl Down which is my favorite of the series. Can’t wait for Mailer to get his book!

The very first Tessa Bailey book I picked up was The Au Pair Affair, and ever since then she has become one of those authors I know I’ll read whenever I get the chance. I have not yet tackled her entire back catalog, but I have no doubt I’ll get there eventually. That is why I was so excited to have the chance to read this one early.
Even though this is the fourth book in a series, I loved that you can still follow along without having read books two and three yet. I will admit I felt a little nervous at first when I realized who the MMC was, since he was not my favorite in the earlier books. This is a tiny spoiler, but I have to say I was really glad to see how well his redemption was handled here.
Overall, I truly enjoyed this story. The epilogue was one of the most satisfying I have read in a long time, and it left me smiling. I am also thrilled that there will be another book coming, especially because it features a couple we get to meet in this one. I cannot wait to dive back into this world again.
**I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.**

I have read many Tessa Bailey books and this was up there as one of my favorites. I thought the chemistry felt very authentic and not cheesy at all. The spice also seemed more tame compared to her other books. I also enjoyed seeing returning characters show up on the page. Looking forward to more from Tessa.

There was a lot I really enjoyed about this book but one thing was difficult to suspend belief. I felt like the timeframe was way too short, as our MMC, Robbie, went from a playboy to being in love in a week or so. Short timing aside, I really enjoyed the family dynamics and the Robbie’s growth. Skylar was a fun FMC and I enjoyed reading about a woman in sports.

This was such a fun read! I loved the characters! Like, they were hilarious, relatable, and easy to root for. The plot had more heart than I expected, and a few moments even tugged at my emotions in the best way.
That said, the romance did feel a little fast… they knew each other maybe two weeks before declaring their love. And some of the spice was just a lot for me. A couple of scenes even read like they were written by a man, which pulled me out of it a little.
Still, the overall charm, banter, and sweetness of the story won me over, and I’d definitely recommend it if you’re in the mood for a funny, swoony rom-com.

as an ex softball pitcher myself, this immediately drew me in. i was excited for the enemies to lovers aspect but it didn’t last long and it became very insta love very fast which i’m not a fan of. at first, skylar was a firecracker with witty banter but it felt this went away quickly. he is also a “reformed playboys” and hooks up with a girl right before (and brags about it) then suddenly loves skylar within a week… just felt too fast for me with no development especially if they are supposed to be “enemies to lovers”.
bearcats rookie robbie is living his dream in the nhl with his best friend and admired by a lot of women. that is until he meets skylar, D1 softball pitcher and not immune to his charm (yet). when he discovers she has a crush on her brother’s best friend, he has agreed to become her fake boyfriend and love coach for her family’s upcoming wilderness competition to get him jealous (and because he wants to spend more time with skylar). through a series of contests, they learn to trust one another and quickly grow closer.
tropes: fake dating, hockey player mmc, softball pitcher fmc, one bed, enemies to lovers, opposites attract, insta love

After meeting during a contentious baseball game between local ball players and hockey players, Hockey god Robbie agrees to give softball all star pitcher Skylar some dating and more lessons.
This was perfection! Here's what I loved:
Robbie: I adored him so much. He starts off so cocky and ends as a big old softie for Skylar. He's hilarious as well. He reminds me of a male, hockey player versions of Cher from Clueless. He's so honest in his feelings which comes across in his dialogue. He's my favorite Bailey MMC hands down,
Skylar: She was also perfect. I loved how organized she was and how addicted to her planner she was. She was so strong yet vulnerable. At the end of the day, she balanced with Robbie so well.
The story: Bailey was so smart with this one. She framed the narrative around Skylar's family's annual competition. This gives you forced proximity, fake dating, found family bonding, one bed, him running to defend her and save her, and so much more. It is the perfect set up for a book.
All in all, this was such a good romcom! A top Tessa Bailey read for sure.
Thank you to the author and publisher for the gifted copy!

As many of you know, I’m an avid fan of Tessa Bailey, and I must say, Pitcher Perfect is an absolute home run! It’s undoubtedly my favorite installment in the Big Shots series so far, packed with all the spice and banter we’ve come to love and adore from Tessa. I couldn’t put it down and finished it in two days.
Pitcher Perfect introduces us to Robbie. Oh, Robbie! He’s infamous for his whipped cream bikini parties and his "orgasm donor" sweatshirt. He’s a professional hockey player who’s skating on thin ice with Skyler, our driven D1 softball pitcher with a Type A personality and a fantastic dry sense of humor. However, when Robbie steps up to the plate—taking on the role of Skyler's fake boyfriend, dating/sex coach, and teammate for her ultra-competitive family’s annual games—he swings for the fences and falls head over heels for Skyler.

another excellent rom com from tessa bailey!!!! i really loved this plot, the characters, and overall writing. it was a great book!

This was my first Tessa Bailey book and I am obsessed! I couldn’t put this one down. It had me laughing from start to finish!

4.75 stars~
Okay I absolutely loved this book. Now maybe it’s because I prefer going into books blind so by the time I started reading this I completely forgot the synopsis. So at first I was like “oh a baseball romance! Cool! Ooh and it’s brother’s best friend, I’ve never read that before!” Just to immediately find out it’s about a hockey player and it involves fake dating? I was so hooked.
I’ve previously had a love-hate relationship with Tessa Bailey- mainly because of the Beat and Melody incident- so the fact that I fell in love with this book surprised me in such a great way. There was so much spice, and it was HOT. It very much was insta-lust at least on one side so if that isn’t your thing, heads up. I loved how absolutely obsessed Robbie is and it’s just so cute to see. I loved how Robbie just continually showed up for Skylar and he just won me over so much. Honestly this book is probably rated so highly because I’m obsessed with Robbie 😂😅.
I just loved this book and now have to go and read the previous three 🫣
Thank you so much to NetGalley and the Publisher for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Tessa bailey, I will always be your fan and Robbie Corrigan, I would take a bullet for you.

Everything I’ve come to expect and love from Tessa Bailey. Spice, Romance and Banter with perfect pacing and heart wrenching moments. At its core this book was fun, flirty and emotionally satisfying.
This was everything I love from a sports romance. The competitive energy between Skylar and Robbie was out of this world. And their CHEMISTRY, off the charts! You can feel the tension in every pitch Skylar throws and every move Robbie makes to prove he’s more than a pretty face in the tabloids.
Get ready to fall in love and meet your new book boyfriend because I need myself a Robbie Corrigan.
