"Every part of me, inside and out, is yours. Every fucking day of the week."
Tessa Bailey does very little wrong in my book. She writes it, and I will read it. Then there is about a 99% chance that I am going to enjoy it.
Such was the case with this book! I was so excited to get an ARC for book 4 of the Big Shots series. I have loved each of the books in this group.
Quite frankly, I am sad that the book is over. I think when the book comes out on audio, I will listen again in September. Give myself some time and reread.
Fake-dating is so fun, and Tessa did it so well in this book.
Skylar and Robbie.. ahhh.
I don't want to give much away, but I will spit some facts for you:
-he falls first, and goodness does he fall hard!
-touch of enemies to lovers
-The spice is spicing! whewee!
-attentive MMC
-healthy competition between MCs
-family drama
This might go down as one of my favorite Tessa Bailey books. I did not expect to love Robbie as much as I did!
The characters are so perfectly written and paired as always.
The structure of the plot is perfect. The pace of the story is wonderful, chef's kiss!
The character development and relationship development are spot on!
Robbie and Skylar are the perfect balance.
This is a MUST-READ for your Fall TBR. I cannot wait for this to officially be on the shelves so I can get my trophy copy!
Thank you to Tessa Bailey, NetGalley, and the publishers for the opportunity to read and review this ARC!
Happy Reading!

Another 5 ⭐️ from my girl 👏🏼
Tropes I’m obsessed with:
💋 Reformed playboy
💍 Fake dating
☀️ Summer vibes for DAYS
What I loved most? The quiet, aching hope in both characters—that their fake dating plan would work in their favor… only to fall hard for each other instead. Ugh. I know a lot of us are suckers for an enemies to lovers and this is as close as it gets in romcom. 🔥

Thank you NetGalley for this eARC!
I absolutely adored this book. The banter was amazing, the chemistry was off the charts, the characters were so much fun.
Zero complaints. No notes. Favorite book of the series so far.

I admit, he falls first and fast is my kryptonite. The MMC was lovable and experienced some character development after lacking depth and self-awareness in the previous two titles in the series. It was nice to see him meet his match and prove his worth and dedication to being what she needed. He proved himself to be a supportive partner, acknowledging and understanding the value and worth of both MCs.

The first thing the FMC says to the MMC is “Fuck you”. Full transparency I was SOLD right then and there. The more I read the more I loved it and the more I laughed.
𝗣𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 by Tessa Bailey
This was somehow my first book by Tessa Bailey and I am here to be ashamed BUT say it will NOT be my last.
We follow Professional NHL Hockey player Robbie Corrigan and All-American College softball pitcher , who have a chance meeting when Skylar’s brother has challenged Robbie’s hockey team to a “friendly” baseball game. The pair instantly set off fireworks when Skylar’s literal first words to Robbie are 𝗙𝘂𝗰𝗸 𝗬𝗼𝘂. From there the antics continue and somehow Robbie ends up Skylar’s “dating coach”.
You guys I ate this up 👏🏼 the banter between Robbie and Skylar is hilarious! The Page Stakes events… INSANE! Robbie’s dirty mouth 🔥. The sheer amount of stouffers lasagna that I imagined these boys going thru 😂😂😂. Also - not Tessa mentioning my FAVORITE Italian restaurant from the North End! I loved it all and most of all I loved how perfect Rocket and Red Beard are.

ARC Review: Pitcher Perfect by Tessa Bailey
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5)
I am a Tessa Bailey girlie through and through—and Pitcher Perfect just sealed the deal! This book had everything I love in a romance: top-tier banter, swoon-worthy tropes, and characters I couldn’t get enough of. It’s hands-down my favorite installment in the series so far, and honestly? One of my favorite Bailey books, period.
Tessa has a way of writing characters who feel like friends, and I loved seeing familiar faces pop up throughout the story. The way she weaves the series together makes each book feel like a warm, hilarious reunion.
And let’s talk about Robbie Corrigan. That man is so down bad in the best way possible—and I adored every second of it. He’s officially my book boyfriend of the month (maybe year?).
Pitcher Perfect is flirty, fun, and full of heart. I couldn’t put it down—and I didn’t want to!

If there’s one thing Tessa is going to do, it’s write a dang good book. I’ve loved this series since Fangirl Down and it continues to capture my attention (and heart) with the hilarious moments, the steamy scenes, and the top notch banter and true to life characters. This was the perfect spring into summer read and I devoured it sitting poolside. Robbie was my favorite part of this book - an adorable, sweet, down bad MMC will get me every time and he was just that. The way he was respectful towards Skylar but also flirty and teasing… SO GOOD. I also think the growth that both characters experienced was written phenomenally and the pacing was perfect. This was enemies to lovers and I think it was done decently well, however; I could’ve done with a little bit more of the trope. Tessa truly has done it again!

4.5 stars
Pitcher Perfect is the fourth book in Tessa Bailey's Big Shots series. It picks up immediately where we met Skylar during the baseball vs Bearcats game. Her first impression of Robbie is not a great one. She overhears him bragging about a one night stand. Robbie loves that his first interaction with the gorgeous pitcher was her mouthing "F you." They very quickly go from fake dating/flirting lessons to a real relationship.
I loved this book. Don't get me wrong. It's totally predictable and not at all believable but it was oh so fun. Robbie completely changes his entire persona the second he meets Skylar. He's wifed up within an hour of meeting her. Skylar has never felt good enough her entire life. It was so sweet seeing how she could be vulnerable with Robbie and show her real personality. The family competition is so farfetched yet hilarious. I could totally picture the competitions. The instalove in this book is immediate. I bought into the fact that they want to move in and are saying they love each other even though the book only takes place over like a two week span. 😂 Don't worry, Tessa includes her signature dirty talking hero. She sets up what will be the next few books. I'm going to be very excited if Catcher If You Can is a marriage of convenience with Madden and Eve.
Tropes: reformed playboy, fake dating, sports, intimacy lessons, only one bed, family competition, opposites attract, he falls first, instalove, complicated family dynamics
Thank you to Tessa Bailey, NetGalley, and Avon Harper Voyager for this eARC. All opinions expressed are my own.

I think this may be my favorite so far of Tessa Bailey’s Big Shots sports romances. Skylar is a strong, self-possessed female character who knocks womanizing Robbie off his feet. I wasn’t sure how Robbie’s character could be redeemed, but I was pleasantly surprised and satisfied! Overall, Tessa once again delivered on the laughs, tension, spice, and happily ever after!
Thank you to Tessa Bailey, Avon and Harper Voyager, and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an advanced copy of this book!

I loved this book! I am a huge fan of Tessa Bailey and her Big Shots series is amazing! The characters are amazing and you can’t help but root for them together!

I LOVE this series but this book fell a little flat for me. It is not my favorite of the four so far but very much still looking forward to Big Shots #5!

This book is now my favorite in the series. I loved both Robbie and Skylar! It was instalove with a very short timeframe, but it worked. Overall, I loved this book and I’m excited for book 5 if it’s who I think it’s about!

Overall I was meh on this. It wasn’t a bad book, but it didn’t blow me away. Unlike other straight baseball books I’ve read it didn’t treat softball as a “girls only, oh if only I had been born a boy then I’d play baseball” sport. Which was nice! I love softball. I just, wasn’t wildly into it. I hated the mfc’s family, her crush on her friend wasn’t fully believable, and she seemed a bit wishywashy. I did like the mmc, he was sweet but dumb. There was too much nipple talk for me.

2.5⭐️ Well… out of all the other books in this series, Pitcher Perfect was definitely my favorite. Unfortunately I think the direction Tessa Bailey is taking her writing just might not be for me anymore. I absolutely fell in love with Unfortunately Yours and Hook Line and Sinker but in this series it feels like the author isn’t focusing on her story telling anymore. This book, and the others in this series feels like they are just being crammed with popular tropes and spice in lieu of plot and good writing. It had its cute moments but it also had a lot of cringy moments. I hope the author will go back to her old, tried and true writing style because for a while she was an instant buy author for me.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this arc.
This book was by far my favorite of the series! I loved Robbie Corrigan! I also loved Skylar. I enjoyed how they each played roles in helping each other come into their own and be confident in themselves. I am looking forward to the next book in the series about Mailer.

Thank you Avon & Netgalley for the eARC!!!
4 stars!!!
Tessa does it again!! I absolutely ADORE this series & this newest installment did not disappoint!
I LOVE the fake dating trope and Tessa wrote an AMAZING story with one of my favorite tropes!! I loved the banter between our two main characters, Skylar and Robbie! Their chemistry was also equally as amazing! I love how obsessed Robbie was with Skylar, the he falls harder trope gets me every time!! I think this one might be my favorite out of the whole series?! their love story was just the sweetest! & Tessa never disappoints in the steam/spice department!! 🔥
100% recommend!!!

Quintessential Tessa Bailey! Easy, breezy, fun to read. Likeable characters - even ones you don’t initially think you’ll like!

Rounded up from a 4.75

I love to tell people that Tessa Bailey books are essentially like a box of chocolates, in which you never know if you’re going to enjoy what you grab. Some of her books stick with the reader long after they’ve finished the last page, others you’ve forgotten about immediately, and some leave you craving for more. This installment in the Big Shots series was definitely more of the latter. From their brief introduction in Dream Girl Drama, I knew I was going to be obsessed with Skylar and Robbie (our favorite orgasm donor 😘) and Pitcher Perfect proved my thoughts right!
This was an instant favorite and it had good fun vibes throughout. I seriously was giggling and kicking my feet at the witty banter between Skylar and Robbie. I loved the set up and that Tessa wasted no time in the runaround of how this story would play out. Was it predictable? Yes, but I ate it up and left no crumbs. This was what I would consider a low-stakes, fun filled, steamy palette cleanser read. You in no way need to read the other books in the Big Shots series but it would help provide some context to other characters that make appearances throughout (Sig x Chloe and Burgess x Tallulah) and some insight to who book 5 will revolve around 👀

4.5 Stars!
Okay, I have to be honest with y'all - I was kind of getting over this series.
Fangirl Down - Loved
Au Pair Affair - Fine
Dream Girl Drama - No Comment
But Pitcher Perfect - Pitcher Perfect!! - BLEW the other ones out of the water for me.
And what it comes down to is how excellent Skylar was as a character. She's a FMC that is easy to cheer for, easy to understand her logic, easy to feel her pain. She's capable, driven, and interesting - and Robbie manages to fit right in with her and provide her a great counterpart.
Now, don't get me wrong, there's still a few signature Tessa Bailey cringe lines (only 2 were truly awful in this one) and I wasn't the biggest fan of the epilogue- but over all, this one is going to end up as one of my top reads of the year and is most definitely my favorite Tessa Bailey to date. I cannot wait to get my hands on a physical copy and dive in again!

I am a sucker for a Tessa Bailey book, especially this Big Shots Series.
Is it a little instalove/instalust? Yes. Do I care? Zero percent.
I absolutely LOVED the character growth and development as the book went on.
Robbie is one of the most golden retriever MMCs I have read in a while and I ate it up.
I am so pumped for book 5 of this series already!
Thank you so much to Avon and NetGalley for the ARC!
