This book was a lot of fun! I go into Tessa Bailey books expecting fun banter, lighthearted stories, and good spice, and that’s what we get here! The characters were fun and a sports romance is always a good time.

This was an AMAZING read! I fell in love with Robbie and Skylar. They were truly soulmates. I could not put this book down! Definitely a spicy read! I loved that Robbie fell first. And that he softened Skylar while also building her trust and confidence. This was one of Tessa best books! I wish had seen more of Robbie’s family.

Best book I read in a hot minute! I would definitely recommend to others. That spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

tessa bailey never misses. This was one of my most anticipated releases of the year and it did not disappoint. I was obsessed with Robbie and how he stood up for Skylar.

I love this new series so much. Everything is simply just a delight - and I love how TB keeps introducing new ideas for future books so I’m already anxious to read the next one. Robbie was a delight in this and some parts were more romantic than I expected!

this Tessa Bailey series has just been so entertaining! I've eaten them each up and this one had some really cool athlete dating athlete themes that you don't see a lot of. also, I loved that Robbie wasn't perfect in the beginning, but that meeting Skylar helped him realize things about himself that he wanted to change. it was nice that he didn't change for her, per say, but being with her made him want to be the best version of himself. there were so many hilarious moments, and the chemistry between them was perfect. overall, loved it!

Not my favorite book by Tessa, but not the worst either. While I did enjoy the smut and some of the cutesy banter, something about Tessa’s writing just hasn’t hit in a long time. Take me back to the genius of It Happened One Summer and My Killer Vacation.

Hi yes it’s possible that this is the best book that Tessa Bailey has ever written. And it’s ROBBIE CORRIGAN?! ARE YOU JOKING?! I am in love with this perfect, simpy, silly, endearing man. He is golden retriever personified. I am in awe of Tessa’s ability to take a momentary side character and give him a story line that I will shout from the rooftops. This series gets better and better with every book and I am sat for it.

This is officially my favorite book in the series! Robbie and Skylar are such fun characters. It had the perfect amount of scenes with some of our beloved hockey players while still being its own standalone story. Can’t wait for Mailer’s love story next!!

This unfortunately did not meet my expectations. This didn't feel like enemies to lovers AT ALL. Robbie was in love with Skylar the moment he saw her and he was her 'enemy' for all but less than 45 pages. It all felt like a push and pull when it wasn't really necessary and them falling for eachother over the span of a week seemed pretty unrealistic.
This was a fun read, I just had higher expectations.

I have been waiting for one of the “Orgasm Donor” men to have their moment … and it was so worth it.
Robbie & Skylar may have become one of my top Tessa Bailey couples.
A classic “enemy to lovers” and “he falls first” story, with banter and spice. Tessa does it again!
Thanks NetGalley and Avon Books for the

This is my first Tessa Bailey book, and she has a new fan. This is a quick and easy read with loads of banter. The MMC falls hard and fast in their fake dating scheme. But does she feel the same way or his her brothers best friend still the object of her affection. What could go wrong in this Hockey meets Baseball romance....

Hot damn this was so fun to read! Skyler is a self proclaimed tomboy and thinks guys see her more like a drinking buddy than a girlfriend. Robbie is a professional hockey player and is known for loving the ladies. But there’s something about Skyler that makes him want to change his ways. He’s always admired his parent’s marriage and he wants something like that for himself. His reputation is well known so it will be hard to convince Skyler that he’s changed and wants a real future with her. Both of these characters are extremely likable and you’ll be rooting for them the whole time! I love this series and I’m so happy I got an early copy from Netgalley. If you love Tessa Bailey - this book is for you! 🏒 ❤️ ⚾️

Thank you to NetGallly for the advanced copy. I was very excited to get an early look at the latest book in the
Bailey continues to write characters that make you laugh and swoon, but the plot was the main issue for me. I enjoyed Robbie and Skylar’s shared comparative spirit and how Robbie stands up for Skylar against her family and the swoon worthy spice is on par with her previous novels…but the plot’s timeline moves too quickly that Robbie’s character arc is rushed and Skylar’s awkwardness and devotion to her childhood crush is a little unbelievable.
The story has all the elements for a good enemies to lovers, reformed play boy, and awkward caterpillar to beautiful but it rarely story, but in this novel’s current iteration, we don’t get the character development she gave her other characters in previous series. We know Bailey is capable of writing those character arcs, and this one just fell short on story. I wanted more tension and head butting between Robbie and Skylar. I wanted Robbie to have to confront his past more throughout the story and truly come to terms with wanting to change and I wanted Skylar to show more of her awkwardness around Madden and dating in general to warrant “dating lessons.” I think we needed more time for these characters to interact with eachother before they go to the family week of completion. All the elements are there. Robbie and Skylar have the makings to have a great love story, they just need more pages to make it believable.
I still enjoy Tessa Bailey’s writing. While this novel isn’t one of her strongest, she can still write a light HEA romance that perfectly keeps you company for a day on beach, on the plane, or for a rainy afternoon.

1000/10. Another absolute banger from THEE queen of rom-com and swoonworthy men, Tessa Bailey. Skylar Page, sister of Elton (of dog park date infamy, shoutout Chloe) our heroine, is a Type A, perfectionist, certified bad-ass Simone Biles/Serena Williams/Megan Rapinoe, "you can't win, so WIN" D1 athlete. She has her days scheduled down to the minute in her trusty planner, but she could never have guessed our darling (now reformed) "Orgasm Donor" Robbie Corrigan would be a late addition to her carefully laid plans... Skylar is such a complex character and I found myself falling in love with Robbie too as he's the first person to really see her, and want to support her -- he KNOWS she can do it, but also he wants to protect her. Men, take notes!
Fans of forced proximity, "fake" relationship that turns to more, and f*boys who change their ways for the girl who wraps them around their finger without a word will delight in this next installment of the "Big Shots" series where Robbie Corrigan finally gets the girl. I personally always find Tessa's stories to be the best blend of spice, humor, earnest, and YEARNING! In addition, the surrounding cast of characters (of course the couples we already know and love) and the characters we're introduced to this book made the whole story such a blast start to finish.
I started this book curious to see where Mailer's story goes, but now that it's over I have a new couple I want to learn everything about and am on the edge of my seat for; Eve, I'm rooting for you! Many thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the ARC. Opinions my own.

Tessa Bailey is an insta-read for me, and this absolutely did not disappoint. I loved Skylar and Robbie was delish.

Thanks to Netgalley and Avon for the ARC!
Tessa Bailey’s books are always a great time and this one was no different. Robbie is a professional hockey player (and a player off the ice) and Skylar is a no-nonsense D1 softball player. They fake date to try to make her crush jealous and shenanigans ensue.
I enjoyed how encouraging Robbie was of Skylar. There were definitely some insta-love vibes. Rating: 3.75⭐️

This was a good book. I always love reading Tessa’s stories as they offer fun romance with a twist. Through this romance we explore the sporty romance prospects of Skylar. The enemies to lovers/ fake dating trope was very clear throughout the story, but I felt there could have been better character development at parts. Some of the storyline lacked depth, and some of the premise felt lacking in background. I ultimately enjoyed the ending. Read to find out!

Based on the scenes with Robbie in the prior books, I didn't expect his book to be so cute, but I couldn't put it down and loved Robbie and Skylar's story from beginning to end. This is my new favorite in the Big Shots series! I also loved that there were additional scenes of the hockey team together in this book. The scenes with Burgess, Sig, Mailer and Robbie were fantastic and hilarious as usual!

Robbie Corrigan thinks he has it all—an up-and-coming NHL career, a tight-knit group of friends who thrive in the same fast-paced world, and no shortage of attention from women. But a chance meeting with Skylar Paige, a star softball pitcher at Boston University, shakes his confidence. Unlike everyone else, Skylar seems completely unaffected by his usual charm, which only makes Robbie want her more. The catch? She’s already in love with someone else. When Robbie finally convinces her to go on a date, he offers to help make her crush jealous during her family’s annual wilderness games. But as the games unfold, Robbie sets out to prove that he's more than just a player—he might just be exactly what Skylar needs.
While this book delivered on the promise of a fictional sports romance and was enjoyable in that context, there were a few elements that consistently pulled me out of the story. The pacing and plot held up well enough—I was able to finish it in a single afternoon—but despite some character backstory, I never really connected with the leads. Even during emotional, heart-to-heart moments, I felt a persistent sense of detachment. Looking back, I think that stems from not fully buying into Robbie as a compelling romantic lead. I’m always up for a good redemption arc, but his just didn’t land for me. One of the biggest issues I had was the believability—particularly the idea that a professional athlete would risk injury right before the playoffs felt far-fetched and hard to overlook.
That said, fans of Tessa Bailey and readers who enjoy spicy, sports-themed romances with enemies-to-lovers and fake dating tropes may still find this a fun, light read.
Thank you to NetGalley and Avon/Harper Voyager for the advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

This was my first ever Tessa Bailey book, and unfortunately, I think it may also be my last. Now, I’m a dark romance girl, but I’m also a sucker for an Ali Hazelwood, so I was excited to give this one a try because I often see Tessa’s books recommended for fans of Ali’s. But this one wasn’t for me.
The amount of modern slang and terms took me out of it. I cringed a bit at times, but it also left me confused because I didn’t know a few of the terms. I think I’m in the marketed age group for this book, so I was very taken aback when I found myself looking up some slang.
Something that I did like was the fake dating. When fake dating is done well, you feel feelings when they get to the third act, and I definitely felt some feelings. Whether they are good or bad feelings, I still don’t know, but I felt something while reading, so the book overall did its job.
Thank you very much to Avon and NetGalley for an ARC of this book. All opinions are my own.
