Home RUN! Tessa Bailey has done it again, of course! Pitcher Perfect is the best mix of romance and banter. The heroine is strong, relatable, and hilarious. The hero comes in shocking you in the best ways every time. The chemistry between the main characters is absolutely electric—fun, fiery, and full of heart. I laughed, I teared up, and finished the book ready for the next to be here already!
If you’re looking for a fun, fast-paced romantic comedy, Pitcher Perfect is it. I couldn’t recommend it more!

Loved the character development in this book. The characters are lovable and this book fits perfectly into the other stories that came before it! I hope this series continues!

Tessa Bailey does it again!

There are so many puns I could use…

Robbie and Skylar are two very competitive athletes that get thrown together through a friendly bit of team rivalry. Immediately Robbie is interested, but when he finds out Skylar has eyes for another man, he creates a plan to help Skylar get his attention (out of the goodness of his heart of course) while also helping her win her families crazy annual games. He gets to spend a week with her, so it’s obviously a win right? There’s no way this could backfire.

I loved the playfulness in Robbie. He was hilarious, charming, sweet, and dirty. Skylar was dedicated, loyal, and shy, but not in the way that “I don’t think I’m pretty” types are usually. She was understandable, relatable, mature, and cool. I loved their dynamic, I loved the switches in POV, I loved Robbie’s interactions with her family. It was all done really well. This book is the perfect end of summer book. You will devour it and thank Tessa Bailey for gifting you with a two sport romance. A home run and slapshot all in one. I hope she continues this world and turns it into a series because these characters are just too dang good.

Pitcher Perfect by Tessa Bailey is the 4th book in her Big Shots series. Bearcats rookie Robbie Corrigan is living the single life dream, until he meets the woman who makes him rethink his bachelor ways. Skylar, a division 1 softball pitcher seems not only immune to his charm, but instantly gets the worlds worst first impression of him. To get close to her he volunteers to be her fake boyfriend and attend her families annual wilderness competition to make her childhood crush see her as desirable. Can he make her realize that they belong together as a real couple?
I loved that this story started at the baseball game played in the previous book. Robbie and Skylar’s banter was everything!! This was instantly one of my favorite reads this year! The enemies to lovers trope was so good and I loved how competitive they both are. This book has everything; the emotions, great banter and of course the spice! Fingers crossed that we will be getting Madden and Eves book next!
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC!!! 🏒 🥎 🏒 🥎

I ride hard for Tessa and will always read her books, but this one just wasn’t it for me. The timeline from “enemies” to saying “I love you” was less than a week, and I just couldn’t find it really convincing or genuine. Tessa, if you’re reading this, please don’t hate me! Will continue supporting you and being a fangirl.

Hoping Eve & Madden’s story comes next!

Thank you to NetGalley, Avon and Harper Voyager for providing me with this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Finished my ARC of pitcher perfect by @tessabaileyisanauthor and then balled my eyes out for 30 minutes. I loved this story line so much. Robbie and Sklar’s chemistry was insane. The way he went from playboy to simp just because she had sass gave me life. Skylar is/was me, a badass tomboy pitcher who had no clue how to flirt or interact with boys. The only difference is I never found my Robbie. I’m usually not a fan of third act breaks up but this one didn’t really feel like a “break up” per say and it didn’t last too long. I also love how it setup up at least two more books in this series! I can’t wait for this book to come out in September so everyone else can experience this with me!

I enjoyed the fake dating, enemies to lovers tropes in this book! The book felt rushed a bit, hence 3.5 stars, but there was some “he teaches her” moments in here which I thoroughly enjoyed. I genuinely felt the characters’ feelings for each other, and couldn’t help but root for them.

Love love love ! Tessa wins again! The perfect example of women writing men cause Robbie is amazing and I need one of him! Loved the thought process and struggle they overcame

This book was not for me and I’m not sure if it’s because I haven’t read any of the other books in this series or because I haven’t read any other Tessa Bailey books but this seemed a lot like an insta love situation and not a real enemies to lovers scenario.

The MMC Robbie is helping the FMC Skylar a week before the playoffs for The Stanley Cup and after hooking up after 1 week of spending time together he’s already in love?? All while the FMC is in love with someone else?

This book lacked substance and felt so surface level and seemed like Tessa was trying to fit every trope known to readers into this book. I’m sad to say I won’t be picking up anymore of her books after this.

This book is sooooo good. Bar far my favorite in this Big Shots series. The nicknames. The fake dating. The back and forth. He falls first. No third act breakup. And throw in a HSM reference and I’m sold. Consider Robbie Corrigan a top tier book boyfriend. Now I need Mailer’s story!

Skylar is a Division I pitcher at Boston University, laser-focused on her sport and not easily swayed by distractions, especially not from someone like Robbie, a notorious hockey player with a reputation both on the ice and off. But when they cross paths, Robbie knows almost instantly that he wants to be with her. Skylar, skeptical of his womanizing ways, only agrees to spend time with him if he helps her win over a longtime crush. What starts as a fake dating arrangement quickly turns into something much more real.

I’ll admit, I haven’t been the biggest fan of the Big Shots series overall—but this one? Super cute. It’s definitely my favorite of the bunch and absolutely worth the read. I know Skylar: she’s the tomboy who’s always in the friend zone, an elite athlete who prioritizes training over her social life, and someone who feels like an outsider in her own family. She’s real and relatable. Robbie, despite his insta-love moment (a trope I don’t typically enjoy), comes off as genuinely charming. Watching his growth from carefree playboy to someone who’s all in was surprisingly heartwarming.

The story is well-paced, the writing strong, and the chemistry between the two leads is seriously on fire. Both characters show meaningful development, and their relationship feels earned and satisfying.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC!

Holy cow, do I love Tessa’s writing! She is an auto-buy author for me and this just confirmed that even more! I’ve read this entire series so far! I have all the physical copies too and this one on pre-order with the designed edges. And ugh…the way Robbie falls for Skyler had me MELTING!

When he eats the sandwich she made for him in the car…THIS…THIS! is my favorite part!

If you haven’t started this series yet? RUN don’t walk. To your kindle, to the book store just GO! Tessa knows how to make you feel ALL the feels. Here’s to yellow kites.

Thank you NetGalley and Avon for allowing this book to be available to anyone on NetGalley. My physical copy I can’t wait to get! This series will be a re-read for me! Therefore this book has achieved my 6 ⭐️ status. This is my honest review.

My FAVORITE in the series. No im obsessed with Robbie. That man is a ROMANTIC. I was sad whenever I had to put this book down and thrilled when I got to continue the story. So many parts had me smiling and kicking my feet. This book had fun competition, fake dating and “lessons”, and so much heartfelt connection.

When the book started, I thought I knew exactly what I was getting into: Type A girl + Type B boy who has her become more spontaneous. I was so wrong. Robbie wouldn’t change a single thing about Skylar except her last name 🤭

The way that Robbie and Skylar were so vulnerable with each other made the story fantastic. while there was a decent amount of Robbie not wanting to scare off Skylar so he hid his feelings, I do feel like there was a really good balance of honesty there. From the mundane moments that they spent together to the big confessions, I could really feel their chemistry. I love these two and will absolutely be recommending this book to everyone.

'Pitcher Perfect' was just what I hoped it would be: a little angst, a little humor, a little drama, and a lot of love. I adore Tessa Bailey's work and this book definitely did not disappoint!

I loved this installment of the Big Shots series! I loved the call back to the earlier book where there was the baseball game between the hockey players and the baseball team. The connection between Robbie and Skylar was undeniable. I really loved that Skylar was also an elite athlete and it wasn't just the male main character. And I love a hockey player! Seeing the softer side of Robbie come out was so cute. I could not put this book down and loved every minute of it. This one may be my favorite of the series

I think Tessa Bailey put crack into the Big Shots series. Her MMCs across the board have been some of my favorites. This was a quick read. This MCs had such fun banter and I loved reading about an athlete FMC. Highly recommend if you enjoyed the others in the series!

Did I read this book in one sitting? Yes. Did I even forget to eat dinner? Also yes lol.

I have to admit I wasn't sure how I felt about Robbie getting his own book after reading about him in the previous books but I should have known better. I never should have doubted Tessa Bailey's talent to write amazing characters. I actually ended up liking Robbie more than Skylar. I definitely wouldn't have guessed that. Robbie was such a goner for Skylar and I couldn't have loved it more. My only problem with the book was how Skylar acted towards the end with the third act break up. Otherwise this book was perfection. Those two were meant for each other in every way. Tessa please never stop writing!

Thank you Netgalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for the ARC!

I absolutely loved Pitcher Perfect by Tessa Bailey. Her big shots series has all been fantastic and this story was no different. This story follows Robbie and Skylar, a hockey player and softball pitcher, in a fake dating scenario with a very competitive family tradition. The banter in this book was top notch and made me laugh multiple times. The only thing I didn’t love was the whole story takes place over about 2 weeks which feels a bit unrealistic. This was a 5⭐️ read for me.

Oh my gosh! I loved it so so much.
Pitcher Perfect, the fourth Big Shots installment, has been my favorite so far. I may be a sucker for baseball/softball but I was an even bigger sucker for Robbie and Skyler. We got to meet these two in DGD and I’m so glad Tessa lets us see where her side characters journey off to. Skyler is a baddie softball pitcher who loves to plan everything perfectly, including how to get her brother’s best friend to fall in love with her. Thankfully, this never happens and we see both Robbie and Skyler fall in love. Ugh their nicknames for one another, Redbeard and Rocket, SWOOOOON, I’m a goner. One adorable but slight panic inducing near death experience, a smidgen of time away from one another as we of course get our third act brief break-up, and a cutesy epilogue made me one happy girl.
This book was a quick and enjoyable read, so glad for NetGalley! Can’t wait to see where the next book takes us…hopefully to the second half of our orgasm duo…
5 stars!

Solidly mid. I love an enemies to lovers moment, but the pacing of this felt more unrealistic than my willing suspension of disbelief will carry me. Everything felt a bit rushed—I’d love to have more development for these characters to help their story feel slightly more realistic.
