Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this eARC.
I LOVE following WCI Sam Barrie's career; I am thrilled when I get a chance to read Trish Finnegan's books as eARCs.
In short, everything about these books are PERFECT for fans of Police 🚨 procedurals
Please do not overlook this talented author, I read hundreds of mysteries and police procedurals a year, yet I have two fictional characters that I am addicted to; one is Sam Barrie, the other is Jane Tennison.
Actually, if you are a fan of Lynda LaPlante, (or similar authors) you will LOVE Trish Finnegan's imaginative and engaging police procedurals.
She is truly a bestselling author just waiting to be discovered, and I hope this happens for her soon, and that her future is as bright and beautiful in this realm as she deserves!🌹

Thank you NetGalley and Burning Chair Publishing for the eARC.
Constable Sam Barrie is finally at the point in her career where she has enough experience under her belt that she can spend time on her police driving course and concentrate on trying to eventually join CID.
She catches the case of a man impersonating a police officer, who harrasses young women, some of whom disappear. As she gets closer to solving the case she's brutally attacked and left for dead.
This is great police procedural set in the 1970's, with a very likeable protagonist. And it's refreshing to have no cellphones in the story!
