Oh this was a good thriller!! I really liked the slow build sense of tension and suspense - and the twists were so good! I loved the short chapters that really kept me on the edge of my seat.
As we follow newly weds Imogen and Lev (and someone named Sierra???) you’ll be asking if yourself if Imogen is just paranoid, or is there something else going on with her husband? Does he really have amnesia?
I loved the author’s style of writing and storytelling and will definitely be on the look out for his next book!!

AMAZING! I devoured this book and could not put it down! i hadn't read any other books by Joe, so didn't know what to expect, but can now say, I will be picking up more of his stories! The characters were detailed and well developed and the writing brilliant. I never knew who to trust! The twist and turns kept me hooked and sitting on the edge of my seat! I loved the change in character POV, and found all the characters in the story entertaining and necessary! I really liked this book!

This is my first book by this author so I didn’t know what to expect. The story starts on a cruise ship on a couples honeymoon when the husband goes overboard. It takes several twists and direction changes as the wife wonders if the husband will regain his memory and if the husband is cheating on her. I’ve never read a book quite like this one and I really enjoyed it. Everything comes together beautifully at the end with no loose ends.

Wow. Wow. Wow. What an incredible book. I was hooked from the first page and loved every minute of it. What a wild story. Highly recommend.

I recently finished reading I Become Her by Joe Hart, and I found it to be an inspiring and heartfelt exploration of self-discovery and personal growth. Hart's storytelling is engaging, and he has a way of connecting with readers through honest reflections and relatable experiences. The book offers valuable insights into embracing one's true self and overcoming obstacles, making it a motivating read for anyone looking to deepen their understanding of themselves and their potential.
With that said, while the book is filled with inspiring messages, at times it feels a bit repetitive, especially in its emphasis on certain themes. A more varied approach or inclusion of additional practical strategies might have elevated the overall impact and kept me more engaged throughout. Nonetheless, I Become Her remains a meaningful and uplifting read that encourages self-acceptance and resilience.

Another twisted mystery by Hart! He was a new to me author and I love his style. He pulls the reader in immediately and does not let go.
A newly married couple, a fall overboard and the lies…Imogen is discovering more about her husband’s Lev past and she should be alarmed.
Get ready for a bumpy ride.

Joe Hart never disappoints. But this one takes the cake. I think this is his best one yet. One of the best psychological thrillers I’ve read this year, maybe even in my lifetime.
Things I loved about the book:
•short chapter
•nonstop suspense throughout the entire book
•a twist at the end that will leave your head spinning
Things I didn’t enjoy:
*crickets*
NOTHING! I loved everything about this book. Joe makes these characters & stories come to life with his writing & I will forever be front & center signing up for the next masterpiece he writes.

I loved this book! I was so sure I knew what was going on, only to be shocked in the end! I couldn't put this one down! A great read!

ARC Book Review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
"I Become Her" by Joe Hart

"I Become Her" takes newlywed bliss and twists it into a psychological knot! Thanks to #ThrillerBookLoversThePulse for introducing me to this talented author. This group is Awesome! If dark obsession is your jam, get this one on your TBR list!
Imogen and Lev are supposed to be enjoying their honeymoon cruise, but things take a wild turn when Lev's sketchy behavior raises some serious red flags about his loyalty. After a heated spat on the balcony, Lev goes overboard (oops!), but luck is on his side. He gets rescued—only now he’s got a memory gap that’s a little convenient.
Back home, Imogen can’t shake her suspicions. She decides to dig into Lev's past, and the tension keeps mounting. What really blew me away was how Mr. Hart nailed Imogen's perspective. He captured the complexity of a female character so well. Buckle up; this book is a thrilling ride!
Thanks to Joe Hart and Thomas Mercer for this gifted ARC. All opinions are my own.

DAMN was this book good! I can't even imagine being married for only 10 days and suspecting my husband of infidelity. This was a pulse pounding, spine tingling psychological suspenseful book that had me racing through to get to the end at the same time trying to savour every word. Joe Hart continues to be one of my favorite authors. Bravo, job well done!

I am 50% of the way in reading this book, I had a slow start and it took a while for me to get into it but so far I'm loving it! It really let's you sink your teeth in, even though you aren't sure what to expect, you can definitely feel that all is not as it seems. We follow the journey of the FMC as she uncovers things about her husband and herself, as the plot unfolds it really makes you spiral and ask questions... it's gripping, the split POVs add to building suspense and I have a feeling that my jaw will be on the floor once I finish reading it.

Ok... this was such at twisty thriller, I'm still trying to wrap my head around it. Imogen and Lev are newly weds, celebrating their honeymoon on a cruise. But when Imogen believes she saw him with another woman, on their honeymoon. They have a heated discussion in which, Lev falls and hits his head on the way down. He is rescued, but due to the head injury, he's suffering from slight amnesia.... or so he says. It turns out though, Lev may not be the man she thought he was. As she starts digging into his past, she realizes his last girlfriend went missing, along with the current woman she thought he was having an affair with. And so begins the cat and mouse game of Imogen finding out who he is and him not backing down.
I really enjoyed this. It was fast paced and help my attention. I loved the multi pov. It really provided a lot of background that helped take you deeper into the characters. I still can't get over the ending. This is definitely worth a read!!

I can’t give you much feedback on this book.
It’s not the writing/reading style for me. I just struggled getting into it and it’s not your fault. In order for my attention to be grabbed, I need lots of dialogue and action. This just has a little too much narrating and it’s hard for my mind to stay focused.

This book was a page Shana very fast page thriller, kept you wanting to know what was going to happen next not my last book from this author because I would love to fuck so much. I’m ready for the next one.

I take you for better or for worse, to love and to cherish, until death do us part…oopsy daisy!😇
Imogen and Lev have embarked for their honeymoon on a Mediterranean cruise. And one night of drinking and accusations of infidelity leaves Lev overboard.
The question is…Did he fall or was he pushed?
Fortunately, a fishing boat was in the vicinity and found Lev alive but with no memory of how he wound up in the sea.
Now back home, Imogen and Lev try to move forward, all the while waiting for Lev to regain his memory. But as time goes on Imogen is getting more suspicious, and begins to question everything about the man she married. Who is this guy? And what exactly is he hiding?
This was a fast-paced thriller that grabbed and held my attention from beginning to end.
Short chapters that will have you reading late into the night, or in my case, sneaking a chapter in whenever I had a break at work. (Our little secret!)🤫.
And the twist, let’s just say I was forced to pause to wrap my head around it! Well played!👋🏼
This was my first Joe Hart book, and I’m impressed Joe! You have a new fan! I’ll definitely be back for more!

Thank you to Joe Hart and Thomas & Mercer for the ARC!
Imogen and Lev are newlyweds on their honeymoon, a lovely cruise in the Mediterranean. When Imogen suspects Lev of being unfaithful, a tense confrontation results in Lev falling overboard. Miraculously, he’s found alive but with no memory of how he fell overboard or the conversation beforehand. The couple returns home and attempts to get back to normal but Imogen just can’t shake her suspicion. Digging into Lev’s past, Imogen discovers a woman who has been missing for years.
I love Joe Hart and will jump at the chance to read anything he writes! “I Become Her” starts off with tension that only continues to build. The creeping sense of dread and the uncomfortable feeling that Imogen doesn’t truly know her husband were palpable. Part domestic suspense and part psychological thriller, this story pulled me in and kept my attention throughout. We are loving this book at The Pulse and I can’t wait to see what Joe Hart comes up with next!!

From the very first twist this book had a grip on me. The emotional volatility between Imogen and Lev felt raw and unnerving, especially as layers of their newlywed bliss were stripped away. I found myself drawn to Imogen’s fragile state of trust, understanding how suspicion can quietly spiral into something far more dangerous. The pacing was tense and intimate, keeping the focus tightly on the psychological unraveling of a marriage haunted by lies, memory gaps, and a past that refuses to stay buried. I didn’t just follow the mystery, I felt the dread creeping in with each revelation. Imogen’s growing fear of the man she thought she knew was especially chilling. I asked myself more than once what I would do in her place—how far I might go to find the truth, even if it meant confronting something I didn’t want to believe.
This book is a great pick for readers who enjoy psychological thrillers with a domestic twist.

4.5/5 stars
I Become Her by Joe Hart is a tense, twisty psychological thriller that had me second-guessing everything—and I loved every minute of it. This was my first book by Joe Hart, and it absolutely won’t be my last!
Thank you to NetGalley and Thomas & Mercer for the early copy in exchange for my honest review.
Imogen and Lev have been married for just ten days when their Mediterranean honeymoon takes a dark turn. After a heated confrontation over suspected infidelity, Lev ends up overboard. Hours later, he’s found alive—with no memory of what happened.
From there, it’s a masterclass in unreliable narration. Is Imogen losing her grip, or is Lev gaslighting her? Told through dual POVs and shifting timelines, the book expertly builds tension and keeps you guessing until the end. I often struggle with unreliable narrators, but I connected with Imogen right away and found myself rooting for her throughout.
Hart nails the psychological suspense, and the layers of mystery unfold in a way that’s both engaging and unsettling. Definitely recommend!

Great psychological thriller. The twists kept coming. I loved the level of paranoia that the MC had made you (the reader) unsure who to believe. I’m always trying to guess what the twist is going to be as I’m reading, and I wasn’t really sure what direction it would go. Very suspenseful throughout, and I really just loved the character development in Imogen.
Overall, just a solid read that I would recommend to any of my thriller/suspense friends. My first from this author, but I do planning on added some of his to my TBR now!

Fantastic book. I loved the storyline line, & the characters . Kept me up all night as I couldn't put it down. The ending is really good
