A wonderful read!
This novel drew me in from the very first page and kept me hooked until the end. The characters were vibrant and relatable, the writing was engaging, and the story had just the right balance of heart and humor. Highly recommend!
Many thanks to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for my ARC. All opinions are my own.

The Trouble With Love is a heartfelt, witty exploration of love, timing, and second chances. Polly is a relatable heroine, juggling single motherhood, emotional baggage, and the unexpected reappearance of the one that got away. The story blends humor and vulnerability beautifully, with just enough romantic tension to keep you guessing. While some plot points felt a bit predictable, the emotional core—especially Polly’s journey of self-discovery and growth—really shines. A warm, engaging rom-com that embraces love in all its messy, complicated glory.

A laugh out loud romantic comedy story with the concise message of "It's never too late to find love, you just have to be willing to be open to it".
In this story, the main character of Polly explores a second chance at love with Spike after he comes back into her life down the track (and even though her life is very different with various priorities one of which being looking after her daughter), Polly realizes she has a decision to make between two men (Max, the man she is currently dating or Spike her old love interest and who would be a better fit in both her and her daughters lives).
It explores emotions along with the gravity of making life changing decisions whilst incorporating the right amount of humor and romance and the story had me intrigued from start to finish.
Thankyou to both The Book Guild as well as Net Galley for the ARC of this fun, romantic book.

Well written and good story building. I really enjoyed it! Having travelled to Bristol, it was nice to read about it and think “I know where that is”.

a feel good romance that was a happy mix of light and shade.
it was predictable in all the good ways. it was definitely a fun and lighter romance and that is no bad thing. sometimes you need a break from the angst and realities of romantic books that steal your heart and fills it with trepidation about the characters happy ending haha.
this book had a cast of characters i instantly warmed to. and i was indeed rooting for our pair. they certainly had a journey to go on. i mean Australia couldnt be further away could it?
the scene setting was brilliant both for the people and the places described.
i had a warming feeling finishing this book and that is exactly what i couldve hope for going in to this one.

I made it to 39% and I just can’t finish this book.
There are entire paragraphs that are repeated about her mother and her childhood, random names that don’t seem to necessarily fit with any character you met before, and the characters…. All of them are so annoying and not one character yet actually seems like an adult.
More a book about teenagers at best.
It just keeps getting worse.
I googled and apparently it was first published eight years ago, I don’t know if there’s been any edit since then, but I think it still needs some. I can’t see how there will be a happily ever after..

The Trouble with Love is a witty, warm-hearted, and emotionally engaging novel that captures the chaos and charm of navigating love, life, and self-discovery. Dun's writing is fresh and lively, with sharp dialogue and relatable characters. While the plot leans on familiar romantic comedy tropes, Dun's clever storytelling and emotional insight elevate it, making it more than just another love story.

This book offers a breezy, heartwarming escape, filled with witty banter, endearing mishaps, and just enough chemistry to keep the pages turning. The love interest is suitably charming, with enough depth to make their dynamic engaging, even if some of their conflicts feel a bit predictable.

While the book excels in humor and sweet moments, the protagonist’s personal growth occasionally takes a backseat to the romantic plot. A deeper exploration of their emotional journey could have added more weight to their happily-ever-after.

That said, the supporting cast adds plenty of fun, and the romantic tension is well-paced, making it easy to root for the central couple. The writing is light and engaging, perfect for readers looking for a feel-good story with a few laughs along the way. If you don’t mind a little predictability and enjoy banter-filled romance, this book is a charming pick—just don’t expect too much introspection between the meet-cutes and grand gestures.
