I would like to start by saying I hated the narration and almost gave up reading because of it. The narrators were terrible with the voices of other characters and duet narration would have alleviated some of my frustration with it. Overall, the male narrator had too much inflection in his voice. My star rating is based solely on the content of the book. If I were to rate the narration, it would be one star.
Also, you can tell the author is British when the American character says "come to mine". Americans do not speak like this but Brits do. Maybe most people wouldn't catch that and be bothered by it but I did and I was.
Okay, now I have that off of my chest, overall I really liked the story. A fish out of water, enemies to lovers tale, with close proximity between grumpy and sunshine. This book set up the beginning of the series nicely and I could tell there are at least two more books coming based on the stories brewing in the background. I felt like the pacing was good and liked the mutual pining. I found the characters lovable and wanted them to get their HEA.
I look forward to reading book 2, but I think I'll stick to the eBook next time.

I just finished a great book. Love, Ranch, Love by Emma Lucy is available this fall. Pick it up! You won’t regret it.

Thank you NetGalley, Harper Audio, & Emma Lucy.
I’ve been dipping my toes into more cowboy ranch romances and this was another great one.
Listening to the advance audio was amazing. A redhead British girl gone into Colorado to sell a ranch she received after her great aunt passed.
Rory had no idea who was waiting for her. She thought she was waiting for an. Older gentleman but lo and behold Wyatt was her age and irritated with her before she showed up. Since he knew he was probably losing his ranch he’d been working at awhile.
After some tension and fights, they finally agreed upon becoming business partners to turn the ranch into a Wellness Retreat. But can they come together to get it open?
The push and pull between Rory & Wyatt was perfect. Listening to their development was perfect because I could picture the story so much better!

This was such a cute read! I’m on a cowboy romance kick (just check my tbr) so grumpy cowboy? sunshine princess that’s not always sunshine-y? And a small town setting? I’m sold.
I really liked Aurora and Wyatt, their dynamic was fun, I do wish the tension between them lasted a just a little longer. Things smoothed out kind of quickly, and I missed that slow-burn spark but they truthfully they made up for it in the end so I’m happy. And well… the spice? Chef’s kiss. 🔥 The horse reins scene?? Yeah, that one’ll stay with me.
Side note: I loved the side characters (especially Cherry—please tell me she’s getting a book and please caannnnn i get a copy plz) Wishing the author plenty of success with her series and as always ty ty Harper Audio for the ARC! <333 is was surprising to get a British voice narrator in a cowboy series but I didn’t mind it lol!!

This was a cute story about Rory and Wyatt.
After Rory inherits a ranch in the U.S. from her aunt, she leaves England to get it ready to sell. She’s fresh off a breakup and just wants to move on with her life. She wasn’t expecting the surly rancher who had been running everything for her aunt to be such a young looker.
Wyatt has always run the ranch his way, and when Rory arrives ready to take control, he pushes back. He knows she isn’t prepared for the hard work, especially with her background in fitness and wellness.
As their mutual dislike starts to shift into something more, both begin to heal from past heartbreak. When their chemistry finally ignites, it is totally worth the wait. I loved how they supported each other’s goals and really showed up for one another.
While I enjoyed the story, the audiobook took a little time to pull me in. Charlie voiced Rory perfectly, but I struggled with how she portrayed Wyatt. The voice she used made him sound older and a bit off. Alexander, on the other hand, made a fantastic Wyatt. I could listen to him all day.
Overall, this was a sweet romance. If you enjoy enemies-to-lovers stories with healing hearts and a slow burn, give this one a listen when it comes out.
Than you Netgalley and Harper Audio for the chance to review this book

I’m not gonna lie, this wasn’t my favorite. It kind of put me in a reading slump. It is RARE that a book will take me 5 days to finish but this one didn’t hold my attention. I was thrown off with a European accent for a cowboy romance but I looked past it for the plot… but the first 60% of the book it felt like there was hardly anything happening. The last 20% of the book really saved this book for me and I enjoyed how it ended but a miscommunication trope is always the worst. Overall… could be good for others, not something I’d pick up again.

Have you ever read a book and when you finished it aren’t sure if you loved or hated it? That’s me with live, ranch, love. First the audio narrators were.. fine. They both had accents hers British his more southern and on their own were fine but when they tried to do the other persons accent since this wasn’t like a full duet narration.. terrible. Terrible.
Idk they had some chemistry but the characters had so many inconsistencies and things felt like they were thrown in there just to get added to the trope list (like bondage) rather than it actually making sense for the character. He did make a vision board for her though which was cute. But idk if I liked it or not this all seems like I hated it?
But I also finished it in like 2 days and didn’t consider not finishing it. So idk what to think

I have a soft spot for a grumpy-sunshine romance, especially set on a ranch. This book checked those boxes but fell short with the last half, struggling to get the main characters to their happy ending. The first half was great, with witty banter, flirting, and getting to know the main and side characters. However, Rory's insecurities overshadowed the story, making the second half feel immature. Overall, a decent fluffy romance.
Thank you to Harper Audio via NetGalley for providing me with an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

This was a sweet, feel-good romance set on a Colorado ranch, and I gave it 4 stars. The audiobook narration was easy to listen to and made the story enjoyable. With lovable characters, slow-burn tension, and a cozy setting, it's a great choice for a summer weekend read.

I’ve DNFd the audiobook for this one and I’m going to switch to paperback. I’m so sad but I just couldn’t stomach the female narrator’s male voices. Genuinely gutted as I was really looking forward to this one.
I have to give a star rating for NetGalley so I’m putting it as a 3 in the middle and will update when I’ve finished the physical book.

thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the audiobook
whole book was so cringey and it doesn't feel like there is any relationship or chemistry between aurora and wyatt
everybody in this book is not a good character
first spicy scene came so abruptly
not a fan of the voice actors for the audiobook

Big thanks to NetGalley and the author for the opportunity to listen to the ALC of this charming, feel-good story!
This book was a cozy escape into small-town Colorado life, full of horses, heartache, and some good old-fashioned grumpy-sunshine tension. Rory and Wyatt have that classic opposites-attract dynamic. She’s all crystals and affirmations, he’s all grit and grumbles, but their chemistry really works once the slow burn gets going.
Rory's journey from heartbreak to healing was relatable and easy to root for. She's trying to find herself again, and watching her clash (and eventually connect) with Wyatt was both fun and sweet. Wyatt, meanwhile, is your classic cowboy with emotional walls sky-high, but you can’t help but fall for him as he starts to open up. The enemies-to-lovers and forced proximity vibes added just the right amount of tension and spark.
The idea of turning the ranch into a wellness retreat gave the story a fresh twist, and I liked how it brought their goals together in a believable way. Plus, the setting was beautifully described. I could practically smell the hay and feel the mountain air.
Why 3.5 stars? A few parts felt a little predictable, and I would’ve loved a bit more emotional depth in the second half. But overall, this was a comforting listen with great narration, loveable characters, and a satisfying ending.
Perfect if you’re in the mood for a slow-burn, small-town romance with cowboy charm and a touch of modern wellness flair!

I am DNFing this audiobook for now.
The story for this one is very cute and easy to enjoy, but unfortunately the narration is hard to follow. I love a book with accents however in this case the FMC is british and does a terrible southern accent for the guy parts and the MMC is supposed to be southern, but the male narrator has no southern drawl for the MMC and the girl parts come out half british half american/southern from him making it hard to follow who is talking. I think a duet narration style would have fit this book much better since the MCs have different accents.
I plan to read the kindle version of this book when its published in the fall because the story itself was enjoyable.

So, this was a fun and pretty classic cowboy romance in terms of plot. The spicy scenes were good, the tension was good, and I liked the multiple POVs.
Unfortunately, I think I would have enjoyed the story more as a physical read. Charlie Albers narrates the FMC and I looked at some of her other work to see if it's just her voice, but she seems to have infantilized the voice of the FMC in some way. Worse, her trying to do a southern accent to represent the mmc was just so far off from how we hear the male narrator voice the mmc. It distracted me from enjoying the book.

Marketed Enemies to lovers
Enemies?! Where!? This one just didn't bring the tension and true enemies to lovers feel. When they did get together the chemistry just wasn't there. I struggled with the narrators on this one and do feel that impacted my experience on the book itself. It couldn't have been more enjoyable reading with eyeballs.
Thank you HarperAudio + netgalley for this ALC.

I have really been getting into cowboy small town romances so than you HarperAudio Adult for allowing me to listen to this audio book.
Aurora is an influencer who came to Sunset Ranch after she caught her boyfriend cheating on her. The ranch was passed down to her from a close family member after her passing. Auora just needed to get away to clear her head. Aurora is at a crossroads since her whole career is based on positivity and wellness, and she isn't feeling so positive.
Wyatt has been running Sunset Ranch and is not happy that Aurora is planning on selling it since his dream was to stay there. He is the perfect grumpy cowboy. He isn't buying into Aurora's always happy attitude.
This book was so fun to listen to. It is always hit or miss with narrators. I really liked the male narrator and it to me a minute to get use to the female narrator. Wyatt and Aurora have both gone through heartbreak and it was nice seeing them see things from each other's perspective. What was supposed to be a quick trip turns into a partnership that neither of them was expecting. The heat is building up and when things are starting to look up now their past are trying to cause issues. Can they trust each other or will the past ruin this new relationship? You will have to listen/read to find out. The spice happens later in the book, but you will not be disappointed!!!

Grumpy x sunshine? SAY LESS
I know that this book has been marketed as “enemies to lovers” but it was giving more (very) mild dislike to lovers — the mild dislike also fizzled out very quickly. BUT the banter delivered!!!
I mean who doesnt love a grumpy rancher?! Aurora + Wyatt are so fun together, I loved every single interaction between them. I LOVE a book couple that makes me giggle.
However, we all know how I feel about a third act “conflict” and it left me a little disappointed this time around. All in all, I’m looking forward to seeing where the rest of this series takes us.
A big, big thank you to NetGalley and HarperAudio for the ALC.

I had a really hard time getting into this book. I don't know if it was the narrators or what, but unfortunately, this wasn't for me.

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for the alc in exchange for an honest review.
Perhaps I should have DNFd this one 🫣
Zero chemistry, very cringey, audio was not good(this could be a me thing, but these narrators are not for me) Very tropey.
It's labeled as an enemies to lovers, and I'm still looking for the enemies. It felt like the author was trying too hard to include a lot of tropes, and it just didn't work.

When I say, yee- you say, haw!!! This is your run of the mill small town cowboy rancher romance. The premise is really cute and I enjoyed the ranch vibes.
Overall, the plot just had no substance for me to fall in love with. The characters have chemistry and it’s very hot but I didn’t feel the ROMANCE… if that makes sense??? I just wanted a bit more from the lovie dovey cuteness.
The audiobook is really well done. Thank you so much Netgalley and HarperAudio Adult for the free alc
