This is a must-read for any fan of the pop-punk genre, or for anyone interested in Blink-182 as a band. Mark does a great job narrating.

I highly recommend listening to the audiobook. It is read by the author, and there is no better way to hear the story of a life than from the person who lived it.

This was a very entertaining memoir, and perfect for those who were fans of blink-182 over the years. It was honest, and heartfelt. While it does seem light on details, you do get a great deal of insight into Hoppus's life, and the the evolution of blink-182.

I wasn't a huge fan of Blink-182, but was eager to listen to this book. It was great to learn the band's history and sad to learn about the inner turmoil. I'm glad that Mark is doing better.

This took me back in time, I have been a fan of Blink 182 a long time. I couldn't wait to dive into Mark's book. A lot of the story I already knew but I liked hearing it told from his point of view, and listening to him tell his own story really made it a great experience for me. If you want to relive your younger years I definitely say pick this book up. You will enjoy the ride and you will learn his side of the story.

This memoir provides insight into the early years that would go on to influence Mark’s life. There is a balance of reflection, humor, information. Not being familiar with a number of the bands mentioned it encourages the reader to explore this music. There are periods of the book that would benefit from further exploration but overall an enjoyable read.

I often hesitate to rate memoirs because it's challenging to form a clear opinion when someone shares their personal experiences, which aren't always glamorous. However, as a fan of Blink-182, I believe Mark Hoppus did a commendable job writing and narrating his memoir. While it was straightforward and not very deep, I still enjoyed it. He recounted the challenges of forming a band and dealt with issues related to fame and maintaining relationships with his bandmates. He also discussed his battle with cancer. I wish he had included some stories that most fans would not know but it was still a solid read.

l love a musician memoir and this did not disappoint! I consumed the audio practically in one sitting. Hoppus wrote this with the dark humor you would expect from a blink-182 member. I laughed out loud at several points, even when he was discussing darker moments in his life there was a sense of levity and self deprivation that made it easily consumable. A great nostalgic read for the millennials out there!

I found myself thoroughly in love with 'Fahrenheit-182' and listened to the eAudiobook very quickly. I was surprised by how much I liked this book, given that I'm resoundingly not a blink-182 fan*! I did work in the music industry in the late nineties/early aughts and had met Mark Hoppus's bandmates a few times (members of Boxcar Racer), but never met Hoppus himself. His tales of being a child of divorce, MTV's TRL, raucous and depressing tours, and more were utterly compelling. Hoppus is transparent about his depression, OCD, and cancer. As a narrator, it took a few minutes to get used to Hoppus's staccato, monotone delivery, but overall I think it lent a greater sense of authenticity to his nearly unbelievable life.

Thank you to HarperAudio Adult | HarperAudio for the eAudiobook in exchange for my honest review.

*For some reason, I do love the self-titled blink album. Maybe that has something to do with a certain Mr. Robert Smith and the gothy "I Miss You."

When I tell you, I was so excited when I saw Mark Hoppus was releasing a book. It was like 13-year-old me begging my dad to give me money to buy the Enema of the State cd! This memoir was truly amazing and enlightening and I have no bad thoughts about it! Maybe because I listened to the audiobook and Mark Hoppus does a phenomenal job (which makes sense since it is his memoir)! I believe listening to the audiobook made me love the book so much more.
Anyways, the content of the book! Farenheit-182 follows Mark Hoppus’s life through the year pre-Blink-182 through the years they have been together up until now. The rollercoaster that is a band just starting out to becoming very popular, to the hardships of being in a band with your best friends, it is all explained perfectly and with emotion. As a Blink-182 fan, it really opened my eyes to the struggles Hoppus has faced, but also how being in the band has brought a lot of happiness. Towards the end of the memoir when cancer & covid became major topics, I have to be honest, I teared up a little. It was so emotional. Even if you are not a fan of Blink-182, I believe you should still read this book! After reading, I do have to say I relistened to all of Blink-182’s discography, but I think I appreciated the music so much more than before.
Long live Blink-182 & punk rock!
Thank you NetGalley and Mark Hoppus for an audio ARC in exchange for an honest review – thanks for the copy!

Thank you NetGalley and Publisher for allowing me to read and review this book.

An enjoyable biography from the lead singer of a band I loved as a teenager. Great read for anyone who is/was a fan of Blink 182.

I'm a huge blink 182 fan so this book was a treat from start to finish. It was very fun getting to learn more about the band and their trials and tribulations over the years, along with Mark's own personal journey. An enjoyable read for a blink fan, no question!

Blink-182’s founding member Mark Hoppus reflects, how it wasn’t always so easy breezy California livin’. He chronicles his parents divorce, his rise to fame and how things did change for the better.

I love a good memoir even more so when it's narrated by the person them selves. Growing up when Blink 182 was in their prime this gave wonderful insight into the behind the scenes.

I've been a Blink-182 fan since the days of Dude Ranch. Mark Hoppus has served as the backbone of the band and his stories about his life and the genesis of the band are very interesting. I had no idea "Carousel" was created first.

Even if you maybe don't consider yourself a "fan" of blink-182 I think this book is still a good read. It's a pretty true snapshot of the times and I found Mark Hoppus had some very insightful things to say. I'm a pretty casual blink fan, definitely not a super fan, and I'm really glad I read it.

I have always liked Blink 182. It was nice to hear about Mark's journey before the band and then when they got together. There were some things that I had already known from being a fan, but this book tells so much more of the story. It makes me want to hear more of their stories and see the band play a show. It is a really good read for people who are fans of the bands and people who have no idea really about the great musician.

Oh that was a good audiobook. The bands he talked about in the 80s & 90s got me fondly going back through my music collection again for the stuff I listened to when I was a kid. My friends and coworkers (so many music nerds work in libraries) heard about how good this book was as I read it, and I know quite a few of them are looking forward to getting their hands on a copy.
