This book features 75 halloween inspired recipes, most of them seemed quite tasty but they lacked a little description of their actual flavor, in some cases it was obvious in others not quite.
But overall it is a fun book, easy explanations and lots of pictures which I appreciate.

Nice mix of savory and sweet recipes. Very lovely surprise in the back to find a conversion chart! I will be trying a few

I am not a baker, so Ghost Food turns out to not be the book for me. I have neither patience nor skill for fancy cakes and such, but the exhibits for this book by Cayla Gallagher are beautiful (and complex--and overwhelming, if you're someone like me!). Though the book really focuses more on the decorating than seasonal recipes, it would be a very fun addition for more dedicated bakers or brave Halloween-addicted amateurs.

Thank you to NetGalley and Skyhorse Publishing for a complimentary copy of this title in exchange for an honest review.
Okay, for someone who loves Halloween and loves sweets, this cookbook is amazing. I love how each recipe had a picture to go along with it. I also loved how the cookbook was organized via spooky titles. There are such a variety of desserts in here they are all so adorable. I could see these being a huge hit at Halloween/birthday parties, work get-togethers, and even included in goodie bags. I will definitely be purchasing a physical copy of this and trying these recipes!
I will also be looking at other cookbooks by the author (I see she has a dog treat recipe book, which has peaked my interest because the babies need delicious treats too!)

I love Halloween and everything fall themed! I can't wait to try out these recipes and feed them to my family!!

🎃We loved this truly fun, creative and yummy cookbook.👻
My family loves everything Halloween. This was absolutley perfect. This is the book you need to help celebrate the fun and imagination of Halloween. Be ready to get creative
and have some fun. Great ideas for parties, scary movie nights and even to cut kids excited about baking.
Cayla did an excellent job at giving us recipes that are easy to follow and understand. The photography is perfect showing us some delicious finished treats. You will want to try every creative one. I love the pumpkin Hand Pies & the Pumpkin Spiced Hot Chocolate.
Get creative with your family and have a spooky time.

This a wonderful cookbook filled with fun bakes and treats for the Halloween lover in all of us. Halloween is my favorite holiday and I'm always looking for new ways to add to it and great food is one way to do that. I always like to try a few recipes anytime I get a new cookbook and.this book was no exception. I love hot chocolate so I tried the Pumpkin Spice Hot Chocolate and it was yummy. For all those Pumpkin Spice lovers out there this is a recipe for you. I made the Zombie Brain Crispy Rice Treats and they tasted good and were easy to make. The third and final recipe I made was the Pumpkin Pie Hummus, it was not hard at all and on the sweeter side but still good. I'm looking forward to trying some of the harder recipes this upcoming Spooky Season.

Ghost Food features 75 recipes for a spookily good time. The recipes are visually stunning. Although some of the recipes that are featured are intricate, many could also be done by children with minimal adult help. Very creative and perfect for fans of Halloween.

Ghost Food, 75 Spooky, Fun, and Frightening Halloween-Inspired Sweet Treats by Cayla Gallagher is a book for people who love Halloween and love to cook. As my children and I “Ooh-ed and Ahh-ed” over this book, we found many treats that we wanted to try. Almost all of the recipes are from scratch so we may change it up and use a bought cake mix or so along the way. There are many recipes to be used for a party or start early and try these all month of October. One of the reasons we loved this book so much is that every recipe had a photograph of the finished product. So there is no guess work on how it should look when you finish baking. The pumpkin recipes were our favorites, which could be foxed in September through winter. Some of the scarier looking foods were not so much a favorite but would be suitable for teenagers and older or people who love the zombie theme.
Recipes are clear and set up so that it is easy to be sure that you have supplies on hand. I also liked the index at the end. My granddaughter and I loved this book giving 5 stars. My grandson wanted to take a star off because he thought there are a lot of sugary treats in the book when more healthy choices should be given too. Overall we rated it 5 Stars. I would suggest a hardcover copy.

Cute recipe book for five baker that lives holiday baking or is having a party. There is a great variety if recipes ranging from beginner to advanced baker. Recipes are easy to follow and a conversion chart is included in the back

Every recipe in this book has a picture of the finished product and it was a treat to look through all of them. There are cakes, hot chocolate bombs, marshmallows, hand pies, cookies, pudding, rolls, ice cream, fudge, cupcakes, cheesecake, and more! As a fan of anything pumpkin, the Pumpkin Patch section is my favorite with Pumpkin Spice Doughnuts and Pumpkin Ice Cream. There is a Haunted House Cake that is a work of art. Making any of these would make you the star of a Halloween party!

This is the perfect cookbook for those planning any type of Halloween or autumn celebration. 🍂 Tons of different recipes like Bat Cat Cookies, Vampire Hot Chocolate, Fluffy Monster Cake, and Zombie Candy Apples.
Definitely would recommend!

Book Review: Ghost Food: 75 Spooky, Fun, and Frightening Halloween-Inspired Sweet Treats by Cayla Gallagher
Rating: 4 Stars
If you love Halloween and have even a tiny bit of a sweet tooth, Ghost Food by Cayla Gallagher is definitely worth flipping through. This cookbook is packed with 75 creative recipes that bring the spooky spirit right into your kitchen. Whether you’re sneaking around a haunted mansion hunting for Marshmallow Ghosts, brewing up some Pumpkin Spice Hot Chocolate in the pumpkin patch, or trying your luck at the Creepy Carnival with Zombie Candy Apples and Monster Fudge, this book has something to make your Halloween celebrations extra fun and tasty.
The book is cleverly divided into themed sections like Haunted Mansion, Pumpkin Patch, Creepy Carnival, Witch’s Coven, and Vampire’s Lair, which adds a playful vibe to the whole experience. It’s great for Halloween parties, scary movie marathons, or just counting down the days until the spookiest holiday of the year.
One thing that really stood out to me was the cover—it’s absolutely charming and totally nails that creepy-cute Halloween aesthetic. Plus, the recipes are super approachable with clear, easy-to-follow steps and plenty of mouth-watering photos that make you want to get baking right away. I’m looking forward to trying out some of these treats as October rolls around.
All in all, Ghost Food is a fantastic addition for any foodie’s Halloween cookbook stash. It’s fun, festive, and has just the right amount of spooky flair to keep things interesting. It’s perfect for anyone ready to turn their kitchen into a Halloween haven!

Ghost Food is an adorably spooky cookbook. It has delicious recipes for all kinds of Halloween sweets and treats. There are different themed sections and photos of each completed treat. The recipes have instructions that are easy to follow.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advance copy!

Fun, cute and mouth-watering cookbook perfect for fans of Halloween and all things spooky.
I've already tried some recipes, but I'm saving some for the festivities.
Beautiful photos of the recipes, with all the instructions for preparing the recipes.

I loved this cookbook! The recipes are fun and easy to follow, photos were awesome too. Can't wait to try more out.

This is a super cute and stylized spooky cookbook. It is broken into sections so you can find the theme you are looking for, such as Haunted House or Creepy Carnival. Each section has a picture of the completed recipe, and some have multiple to allow you to create the treat. The colors are used well in the text to differentiate between different parts of the recipes. The instructions are easy to follow and not too complex. The recipes themselves are super cute, and while not overly creepy, the edible blood can be used to creep up any anything.

Summerween has never been so sweet as it is with this book. Filled with yummy yet adorable recipies for all things ghosty, I loved every photo in this one. Written simply, this is a must have for even the beginning baker for Halloween.

The absolute perfect cookbook to get in the right Halloween spirit! I loved all the creative reimagining of traditional recipes with the spooky Halloween twist as well as the custom made ones. I also really appreciated the pumpkin-themed ones, for example (pumpkin pie hummus? I'm in) as well as the amount of cute options ideal for parties. The only thing I missed was an indication of how easy/difficult each recipe is: not being a great cook I tend to think that most things are too difficult for my skills but I bet some of these are really easy!

Great cookbook for the upcoming spooky season, but also beyond. These are great dessert recipes that can be used in every day living without the accoutrements that bring them to life during the Halloween season. There is everything from Pumpkin Pie Spice, for when you run out, to a variety of different types of Hot Chocolate Bombs. Chocolate Rats to Worm Filled Birthday Cake. Skill set for decorating goes from easy enough for a child, to advanced (must have patience). Each recipe and assembly is easy to follow, with step by step instructions. The cookbook is also broken down into categories such as ghosts, graveyards, vampires, etc.
I read a lot of cookbooks and this one is by far one of the most approachable cookbooks I’ve read in a long time. So whether you are going to be hosting an All Hallowed Eve party and are dying to serve a witches nose or want to take bat cookies to your child Halloween party, this cookbook is for you.
I received an eARC of #ComfortFood by Cayla Gallagher from #NetGalley in lieu of my honest review.
