The Kiss Bet Volume 2 is another super cute YA romance graphic novel. This one picks up right where the first book left off, and was a really fun read! I liked that all of the characters got a little more depth in this book. Patrick especially grew on me and had a super fun role! This is definitely a fun one if you want a romance without a lot of extra plot. Thanks to Ingrid Ochoa, Webtoon, and NetGalley! My opinions are my own!

Gosh I just love this art style. I'm no art major so I have no idea what it's called but I love it.
This story just has my heart. It's so nostalgic in that high school love, chaos and feeling like every minor convenience is the end of the world kind of way. Sara Lin is the perfect character that embodies all of that. Following her on that journey is hilarious and relatable. She's quirky but serious. I just want the absolute best for her lol. YOU"RE DOING GREAT KID. Volume two brings us more depth from her friendships and school life. We get to know each character more, Patrick and Joe AND of course, Subwayboy. I've read further than this on Webtoon and let me tell you, it only gets more heartfelt and the connections between each character get messier but in the best and most dramatic of ways.
This is just one of those Webtoons that deserves to be in print. I would've loved to read this when I was back in high school because it is highly relatable. But it's fine. I shall just reminisce on all the teenage world-ending tragedies of high school drama through Sara Lin.

Thank you Netgalley and Wattpad Webtoon for the ARC.
OMG!! I forgot how much drama happens early on in the Kiss Bet. Sara Lin likes Joe but Joe likes Vicky. Patrick likes Sara but she doesn't feel the same. It's just ahhh! I love this continuation of the story though. It is the start of Sara Lin's growth as a character and as the story goes on I feel like we get to see her become a more well rounded character. I'm so excited. I am excited to see more character growth for people like Patrick, Vicky, etc. I will say that I am excited for more Oliver driven plotlines to intersect with the main story.

This was such a cute addition! I loved getting to see flashbacks on how Sara and Patrick met. Honestly, at this point, idk who to even ship anymore. What I do know though, is I am 100% rooting for Vicky and Joe! It was also cute getting to see all of the little signs that Oliver likes Sara (he kept the sticker!!!!! IYKYK). My heart absolutely broke towards the end for Sara. The cliffhanger has left me desperately needing the next edition!
Thank you NetGalley and Wattpad Books for the free digital copy! All thoughts are my own.

Es la continuación de una historia muy linda, sigue siendo igual de entretenida y el arte es perfecto para lo que sucede en la vida de los personajes. Me encanta, estaré esperando el siguiente volumen

I remember reading this on Webtoon years ago, but I never caught up to Volume 2—thankfully! Sara Lin is a bit childish, but who wasn’t in high school? Now, this volume narrows down her love interests to just two, and I’m so excited to see who she’ll end up with by the end of the story. The pacing is picking up, and you can really see each character's growth and evolving feelings. I'm dying for the next book and am rooting for Oliver! Thank you to Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group, WEBTOON Unscrolled, NetGalley, and Ingrid Ochoa for the eARC.

This story is so so fun! I was immediately invested in the continuation of Sara Lin's complicated and endlessly entertaining world. The narrative really starts to come into its own in volume two. The characters are developed more, personalities more defined and backgrounds delved into in a deeper way. The intertwining of all of the most important people in Sara Lin's world is done so effortlessly. Well, it feels seamless to us, but it does understandably stress her out! I love the subtlety in the art. It's expressive and vibrant to look at, but the microexpressions are perfect attention grabbers. With the state of that dramatic cliffhanger, I cannot wait until volume 3 releases!

Thank you to NetGalley and Wattpad/Webtoon for the e-arc!
I started this series earlier this year and enjoyed what I've read so far. This volume was also good and helped to progress the relationship between the main two. I love a good coming of age story and this is that and more. Highly recommend checking this out if you like coming of age stories.

Thank you to Webtoon and NetGalley for sending me a copy to read and enjoy.
This volume started right where volume one ended right on the cliffhanger and it ended on another kind of cliffhanger. Sara Lin is back at it with another bet that she is trying to fill and trying to juggle all of the boys in her life. I’m personally team Oliver but I don’t think that will happen with the way it ended. This was another easy and fast paced read. The artwork is amazing. I’d read anything by this author.
I would absolutely recommend this series.

The more I read, the more confused I am about who I want Sara Lin to end up with!
For now, I am still rooting for Oliver! I don't think Joe and Sara Lin are very compatible based on what I have seen so far, but time will tell. Volume 2 focused more on Sara Lin and Patrick, which honestly, I am not complaining about. We get to learn more about how they became friends earlier on in high school, which is really sweet. Patrick is the goofy friend who starts to realize his feelings a little too late (or not hehe). His conversation with Sara Lin in the nurse's office was very insightful, and I was not expecting to see him be so vulnerable with his feelings this early on (even if he didn't use the right words).
Notable moments:
- Oliver agreeing to tutor her again
- the whole festival (I loved how its so obvious Oliver is starting to come around to Sara Lin)
- the ending....criminal for it to end there
This volume had my jaw on the floor with that ending, and I can't wait to continue the series!

YAY for Volume Two coming soon! 🩷 I've been following The Kiss Bet on WEBTOON for over a year now, and I’m so excited that Volume 2 is coming later this year! For me, this is where the story really starts to come into its own—there's more emotional depth, more character growth, and the beginnings of that signature slow burn that defines the series.
While Volumes 1 and 2 still read as a little immature on this re-read, they do a great job laying the foundation for what’s to come. You start to see hints of future storylines taking shape, and more of the charming side characters begin to shine. Their POVs and arcs play a much bigger role from this point forward, which is one of my favorite things about the series!
The art remains one of the standout elements for me. It’s bright, expressive, and full of fun little doodles that add to the charm. It’s what first pulled me into the series, and I still love it.
The Kiss Bet is the ultimate slow burn. It can definitely test your patience, but the pacing makes sense for the characters and their backstories. These early volumes are essential in establishing all of that!
Huge thanks to WEBTOON and the author, Ingrid Ochoa for the ARC of Volume 2! I can’t wait to keep reading 💕

Sara Lin is back, and mission: 'have her first kiss' is still incomplete. The Kiss Bet Volume Two brings back the young adult antics and complex boy 'friend' dynamics. She is continuing to accept kiss bets from her best friend Patrick, and as she continues to miss every deadline, she begins to question if her thoughts of a first kiss being special are worth it. I love all the boy options (Joe, Patrick, and Oliver) that inadvertently present themselves as Sara Lin is determined to check first kiss off her to-do list. Such a good story to get wrapped up in. With each volume, I swear I am rooting for my fave guy. Readers will have to pick their jaws off the floor when they get to the last few pages and bite their nails as they anxiously await for what's to come!

Sara Lin is funny and a bit dramatic like typical girls she really said "I'm going to die a virgin lips" I think it's cute how she's always blushing. And I was glad she told oliver about the Kiss Bet from the subway. That festival night was chaos full of confessions and another kissing bet, oh my gawd that ending and i can't believe her first kiss was stolen. I'm excited for the next volume. Also the art is super cute.
