Clara finds herself pregnant after a passionate vacation fling. It isn't until her last trimester that she contacts the baby's father, Dalton. However, due to a failed marriage, Dalton believes it's not the right time to enter into a relationship with Clara. Learning about the impending arrival of his child, Dalton wants to do the right thing, which he believes involves marriage. Clara, on the other hand, refuses his proposal, and with some pregnancy complications, Dalton insists on staying by her side until the baby is born.
Clara and Dalton's story is highly relatable, instantly drawing readers into their journey. Witnessing their relationship evolve is a delight, as Dalton takes on the responsibility of caring for Clara, and she gradually learns to lean on him. Both characters learn the art of compromise, allowing their bond to deepen. It is heartening to observe Dalton's growth as he becomes more patient, waiting for Clara to trust in him. Overall, it's a satisfying read that I enjoyed.
