This book was not what I expected. I was hoping for a “Rom-Com gone rogue”. Instead, the subplot of women banding together to get revenge on all these bad men took away from so much character development that could’ve happened with the MC. Don’t get me wrong, the story was still fun and exciting, but I think all the supporting characters were distracting. Just too many extras for my liking. The writing was great, the main plot really kept me wanting more. I did really enjoy the last third of the book when everything started to make sense and we begin to really understand Lucy. That storyline was the saving grace of this book for me!
There were no explicit open door “scenes” in this, but there was plenty of talk of past encounters, vague and not so vague references, and just words and phrases that were peppered ALL throughout the book. I usually don’t mention language, but there was a lot in this one and words that I don’t love even more than usual, so that also turned me off. This gets a 3/5 for spice on my scale.
Overall, not terrible, but not great. It was well written, but I wish I could’ve got to know the MC more rather than all the women along the way.
Thank you NetGalley and Avon for the ARC of this book!

Love this genre, female revenge! If you loved How to kill men and get away with it, this book is for you! Love to see women standing up for themselves, being strong and powerful! Read this book! #womenrule #getyoursgirl!!

There are great aspects to this book. The banter between characters is witty and fun. The main character, Sally, is interesting and well developed. Unfortunately she is the only developed character and all the other women come across as the same person.
The premise was interesting - Sally meets Harry who swindles her so she plots revenge. We are constantly told she has a dark past but only provided snippets. This would have made for an interesting read if the author had flushed out this story line more and not added in all the other side plots. These side plots where Sally happened to overhear / witness four other women be mistreated by men and convince them to join her group, then they all agree to illegal activities for revenge was too far fetched for me to enjoy.
Overall I had high hopes given then name and blurb of this novel but it was a miss for me.
