I have been recommending this title nonstop at work, I loved it! I loved the suspense and the twisty plot.

This book got me out of a reading slump. Scrolling TikTok I was engrossed with the different “Trad Wife” influencers like Nara Smith and Ballerina Farms. With their TikTok videos of their families and making everything from scratch. Inspired by these influencers The Tradwife’s Secret peels away the layers of secrets under the seemingly perfect March family and what it takes to craft the perfect social media image online. Even if it kills you.
Thank you to Harper Collins Canada and netgalley for an arc

This book was a wild ride! Far more juicy and sinister than I had anticipated, and I loved it. The characters were fascinating. I really liked the “behind the scenes” look at the life of an influencer, which was thought provoking in itself. A great read.

So many thrillers these days follow the same almost cookie cutter, predictable path. the Tradwife's Secret was such a refreshing deviation from the traditional plot and formula. I love that Child based her novel around current trends and the re-emergence of the popularity of "traditional family values" and the #tradwife movement. While not a lifestyle that appeals to me it was such an intriguing world to be brought into.
The book follows the OG Tradwife influencer Madison March as the perfect life she has built for herself slowly unravels into chaos. Told from 3 main POV's: Madison, Cally - the home school teacher, and Brianna - a young wanna be influencer, we are thrown into the seedy underworld of both the lifestyle and social media influencing. Showing that you can't always believe what you see on your screen.
I really liked the dynamics between our female characters and how each perspective moved the plot along and slowly began to show how everything intertwined together. The author had a captivating way of writing that drew you in and made you want to keep reading. The twists caught me by surprise and kept coming. With small breadcrumbs that come to you after the reveals. With fast pacing and short chapters I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

🥧 F E A R F U L F R I D A Y review 🥧 featuring “The Tradwife’s Secret” by Liane Child!
Madison March has blown up social media by sharing her homestead lifestyle with the world. Madison portrays the “woman who can do it all” tradition and culture by showing that she can raise 4 children, run her entire household and be completely submissive to her husband. Madison wants women to view the homestead life as the perfect way to live … but really her entire life is full of LIES and SECRETS!
Behind the scenes Madison has a team of staff who do everything for her. All she has to do is pose perfectly for the camera. The March family employs staff to cook, clean, child mind and much more 🤐. It’s only time before the truth comes out …
“In our family, we believe in traditional roles. I’m a wife and mother first and foremost, a caregiver, not a commentator on societal issues. It’s not my place to have an opinion”.
This book is WILD and TOXIC and gave me all of the feels. The twists and turns and shocking behaviours kept me on the edge of my seat with suspense and I lived for all the juicy behind the scenes drama!
Thank you kindly to @lianechildauthor @harpercollinsca @netgalley for my #gifted advanced digital copy in exchange for my honest review! This book releases on May 27, 2025!

I wanted to love this book but unfortunately it just wasn’t something that kept my attention and I. Just got so bored that I gave up.
I can’t recommend this book.

I just finished The Tradwife's Secret by Liane Child and was lucky enough to experience both the audiobook and the ARC. I quickly became hooked—listening and reading every chance I got. The story completely drew me in.
The Tradwife's Secret by Liane Child is a gripping thriller set in the wide-open landscape of Montana. Madison appears to be the perfect tradwife—embracing traditional gender roles, raising four children, managing an idyllic homestead, and sharing her picture-perfect life on Instagram alongside her equally perfect husband. Living with them is Lori, Madison’s loyal childhood friend, along with a team that supports both the homestead and her social media presence.
But everything begins to unravel when Cally, a new tutor, joins the household. She quickly bonds with Lori and starts challenging the carefully curated world Madison has built. As Cally digs deeper, long-buried secrets begin to surface—each one more shocking than the last.
This was a true page-turner, full of unexpected twists. I especially appreciated how seamlessly everything came together in the end. The final reveal caught me completely off guard. I highly recommend picking up The Tradwife's Secret when it hits shelves on May 22, 2025!
*** Thank you to NetGalley and HarperCollins Canada for the ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book is a bit of a hot mess. I say hot mess, because like you still want to know what is going to happen, despite the glaring plot holes and stereotypical, one note characters.
Certainly some twists and turns (even one I didn't see coming!)

This book was excellent. The “trad wife” phenomena has interested me as it has grown popular on social media and I jumped at the chance to read this book. It was an excellent thriller - so many twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. The subject matter and associated misogyny was so true to life and had me feeling unsettled and frightened for the female characters in the book. This book was raw, suspenseful, and presented what I imagine is a more real version of #tradwifelife that is much more than sourdough.
