This was such a twist-and-turn book! It was devastatingly emotional! And such a rollercoaster. I had so much empathy for Suzanne! It was heartbreaking to watch her go through the loss of her daughter.
The end was a complete shock. It completely blind-sided me!

A grieving mother. A loving husband. A live-in nanny to help with their son. There’s nothing that can go wrong with this combination, right? Meet Suzanne, a grieving mother who thinks she may be losing her mind. Her suspicions rise as husband Matthew appears to become closer and closer to Reka, their nanny. And is she a good mother to Noah? She’s been in counseling with her best friend/therapist for a year and she’s not getting any better.

This book is fast-paced and full of all of the suspense and twists and turns you want in a psychological thriller. You can read it in one sitting because it will suck you in!

This is my first Victoria Jenkins book, but I’ve already got my eye on several of her other books. She’s definitely going on my list as a go-to for thrillers!

The Woman in Our Marriage by Victoria Jenkins was an psychological thriller and one of her best! WoW! this book was a superb twisted read with brilliant twists and turns that will have you turning your pages to find out what happens next! and it was hard to put it down, I ended up reading it in one seating, I did not want it to finish.
I find this with every book by Victoria, especially as she as a way of drawing you in from the very first few pages till the very end! Superb Author - one of the best! The woman in our marriage was so powerful and emotional at the same time which made it an addictive read. I loved the way the chapters were short and did not drag out.

I highly recommend all Victoria's books. They have all been a superb 5 star read and this one was no different!

This is your typical 'Is the nanny sleeping with the husband' thriller. Following the death of their daughter,Suzanne is struggling. Her mental health has taken a nose dive and to ensure the proper care of their young son Noah,Matthew has hired Hungarian Nanny Reka to step in and help Suzanne. But Suzanne's noticing lots of whispered chats between her and Matthew and even found a long blonde hair on his side of the bed. She's an unreliable character for us which keeps us guessing...does she have just cause to be wary or is it the cocktail of meds for her Anxiety etc. making her see things that aren't there? Is the nanny moving in with ideas of replacing Suzanne? Plenty of hooks to keep you intrigued.

Wow!!! Yet another absolutely captivating, twisty page turner from the incredibly talented Victoria Jenkins!!! Fair play, Victoria manages to blow it out of the water each and every time and this book is no exception!! What a rollercoaster ride of a read!!! Fantastically written with vivid descriptions throughout making me feel like I was in the storyline. The synopsis, title and cover suited the plot perfectly.

This is yet another incredible read by the very talented Victoria!! She is one of those brilliant authors that can bring a book out and I will get it not even reading the synopsis as I just know it is going to be one gripping book!! I have no idea how she copes up with these absolutely amazing books with each one being unique, gripping and addictive but I am so pleased that she does!!! I could not put this book down and absolutely devoured it in one sitting of a few hours!!! It is one of those books that each and every time I said one more chapter and then bed something happened so there was no chance I could put it down so I ended up walking around with my kindle glued to my hands until I had devoured it in one go!! Mind you, to be fair, I have come to expect nothing less from the extremely talented Victoria Jenkins!! In this absolutely gripping and tension filled storyline Victoria transports her readers into the lives of Suzanne and Matthew. They sadly lost their daughter Annabelle a year ago in a horrible life changing accident. She had already struggled with post natal depression after having Annabelle and now that she has died Suzanne is really struggling to look after herself along with their older son Noah who is 4 years old due to mental health including hallucinations, anxiety and depression. Her husband Matthew decides to hire Reka who is a Hungarian Nanny to help Suzanna around the house and with Noah. Reka has not been working for them for long, just months, when Suzanne convinces herself that Matthew and Reka have an ulterior motive. This isn't helped when Suzanne discovers a long blonde hair in their bed and sees them whispering to each other. Noah is not even speaking to his Mother and seems to connect with Reka more. Are Matthew and Reka hiding something or is it really all in Suzanne's mind? Well, if you want to discover the answer and find out what is really going on then you will just have to grab your copy and find out for yourself and I can promise that you will not regret it!! If you have never read a book by Victoria Jenkins before then be ready to get hooked and discover a new favourite author and lots more books to add to your tbr list!! I absolutely LOVED the fact that the storyline is a unique one that I have not come across before. I have read hundreds and hundreds of books so it is getting harder and harder for me to discover a completely different storyline but Victoria manages it hook, line and sinker!! The storyline was absolutely gripping and kept me up until the early hours of the morning as I could not put it down!! I absolutely love how intriguing, complex and multi-layered the storyline is with so much going on!!! I was sitting on the edge of my seat with a pounding heart and my jaw dropping as Victoria takes us on a psychological ride of suspense and tension!!! I was absolutely gobsmacked when everything was revealed, absolutely explosive twists which I was not expecting!!! A HUGE congratulations to Victoria on that as it is definitely getting harder and harder to shock me but you most definitely did that!!! There were points where my heart was in my throat and I was on the edge of my seat, and then the edge of my bed as I was not putting this book down until I finished!!! I loved that everything was tied up nicely at the end as a pet hate of mine is loose ends and having something mentioned in a book that the author seems to then forget about but absolutely everything was explained by the end of this one. It is rammed with secrets, friendship, family, twists, lies and absolutely everything you could ask for in an explosive psychological thriller! I was absolutely mind blown by some of the secrets that were coming out and just when I thought they had all been told BOOM another shocker!!! The ending was definitely the biggest twist and I would not have seen that one coming in a million years!! This book would make a fantastic movie!!

Clear your schedules before glancing into this absolutely addictive and explosive psychological thriller as once your hooked there's no letting go until the very end!!

The characters were all strong, realistic and very well developed. I was completely invested in each and every one of their stories. They all had such unique personalities and I felt different about each of them, liking them or not trusting them for different reasons. This is one of those storylines that contains a Mother's worse nightmare and it really does make you think about how you would react if you were in Suzanne's position and my heart went out to her. I love the fact that it wasn't just Suzanne's perspective that we got to see what was going on as Victoria also shows us how her husband Matthew is thinking and feeling and weaves the chapters together perfectly as always. I will say that if you are a fan of Harlan Coben then you will absolutely love this addictive page turner!! Victoria brings each of the characters to life with her fantastic writing skills, again something she does in all her books, and between the characters and the plot you will be left absolutely gobsmacked!! Regardless of whether you love or hated the characters they all worked perfectly well to make this a page turning psychological thriller!!

I absolutely loved this book Victoria and congratulations on yet another HUGE success. I cannot wait to read more of what promises to be heart stopping reads. Here's to your next success 🥂.

This was a tense and disconcerting read. But I am not a fan of angst, and I didn’t like these people; they were all rather heinous. Nor could I fully forgive them even after the driving force of their problems was revealed. But while I found them to be contemptible creatures who had done inexcusable things to each other and had knowingly neglected their child, I was unreasonably curious to find out what was going to happen next. Victoria Jenkins has penned a compelling tale.

Suzanna’s fear of losing her son Noah is understandable, especially after the loss of her infant daughter Annabelle. To cope with the grief, her husband Matthew has hired a nanny named Reka to help with Noah. Reka moves into their home.

However, there’s a disconnect between Suzanna and Noah, and she soon starts to feel threatened by the possible relationship between Matthew and Reka. Is her suspicion valid, or is it just her imagination?

When the unthinkable happens, Suzanna’s world crumbles. The repercussions of her actions could cost her everything, but the story takes a shocking twist that nearly broke my heart.

Despite the title hinting at a certain theme, this book delves deeply into Suzanna’s emotional struggles. She grapples with the loss of Annabelle, post-partum depression, and ongoing emotional issues. Victoria Jenkins’s writing is exceptional, and I eagerly anticipate her next book.

I've read a whopping seven books by Jenkins to date and I'm sure there's a whole lot more to come.

The prologue alone had me chomping at the bit to lose myself into the plot...and what a plot it turned out to be!!

It's a moderately paced read which I went into without reading the blurb, so I had absolutely no idea that it was going to take me on such an emotional twister.

Boy were those characters complex! I couldn't bring myself to trust any single one of them! There were too many layers to be peeled back first!

There were secrets, there was sadness and there was a shed load of suspense that kept me on my toes!

A great recommendable read.

I love Victoria Jenkins, so this is one I jumped at the chance to get to read. It didn't disappoint. I felt like Suzanna's depression was depicted extremely real and you truly felt for her throughout the book. It was also very tasteful.

The twists through this book will keep you guessing all the way to the end. Definitely not one to miss!

The Woman in Our Marriage by Victoria Jenkins is full of suspense and perfect for fans of slow burn, compelling and twisty domestic thrillers!

Suzanne is struggling after the tragic loss of her infant daughter. Having a 4 year old son already, Suzanne is finding it difficult to do much of anything because she is weighted down with grief. When her husband Matthew hires Reka, a live in nanny, she begins to help out with their son Noah while Suzanne gets help from her therapist and her friend. But soon, Suzanne starts to see that Matthew and Reka are awfully close for an employer/employee relationship. It seems like Reka is entirely too comfortable in Suzanne's house and around her husband and son. How far will Reka go to be the next woman of the house?

From the prologue I was highly invested in this story! Told in multiple POVs, we get to see the different perspectives of each character. This book does deal with some sensitive subjects including postpartum depression and also infant loss so definitely be aware before reading! The way Jenkins writes these subjects are real, raw, and emotional but also delicately written given the high emotions. I felt like the twists were well placed and written and the ending threw me into a completely different direction! Overall I recommend this book for fans of Shari Lapena and Lisa Jewell and also for lovers of domestic thrillers with emotion!

Matthew and Suzanna are trying to put their lives back together after losing their 9 month old daughter. Reka was hired to help out especially while Suzanna can’t handle being a mother to Noah. But Suzanna has noticed something between her husband and Reka. Are they having an affair ? Or is something more sinister going on?

Oh Suzannaaaaaa, I had to. This is a new author for me and I will definitely check out more because this was a good read. The characters were great in this one and the storyline was great it kept the pages turning for me. Definitely will recommend this ones to others.

This book was a fast-paced, twist-filled roller coaster. The plot is clever, emotional, and full of suspense. Another fantastic psychological thriller from one of my favourite authors.

Jenkins did a good job trying to throw me off the scent but I zeroed in on one culprit immediately.
This person stuck out like a sore thumb because of several things that the author planted.
The narrative shifts from Suzanne and Matt. At times I did doubt that I was correct in my suspicion but ultimately I was correct.
There are a lot emotional ups and downs in this read!
