The shots that ended Carter Marshall’s law enforcement career didn’t end his desire for opening the Blue Ridge Mountains Survival School on his land. Financial help from a reality show that plans to film at the campground will be a major benefit to the opening. Rylie Christianson remembers Carter from school and from the devastating incident that caused his retirement from law enforcement. She is completing the reality show that her dear friend Darcy had proposed prior to her death. However, even before the contestants can arrive, trouble arrives at the campground as there are incidents of vandalism to her car and the buildings. Is this second attempt for the reality show doomed again? When one of the crew is found dead in his cabin, was it an accidental death or murder? There is a slow attraction building between Carter and Rylie, but can there be anything permanent for them as she will be leaving when filming is over? When Rylie goes missing, will he find her in time or has she become another victim in someone’s need for revenge? If so, who and why? I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (paytonpuppy)

Very enjoyable romantic suspense!

I really liked Carter and Rylie. There's so much delicious tension between them that had me kicking my feet. Their chemistry was written so well and I had a great time watching them fall in love.

The plot was mysterious and had good pacing. I like the different twists the story took too. I was very intrigued by the mystery and it kept me guessing.

Is part of a series, but can be read on its own.

Would recommend if you love romantic suspense, small town , emotionally wounded heroes and swoon worthy romance.

I received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.

This Romantic Suspense had you questioning who was behind the danger and killings. Who you think it is isn’t quite who it turns out to be but I had my suspicions.

Loved how they incorporated Jay into the story but wish he could have had a happy ending in his hometown. I also thought some of the scenarios were a little unrealistic and wouldn’t happen in real life but overall it was a good story.

Being a die-hard reality show fan, I thought the premise was fascinating!
The characters drew me in and I kept thinking about the book.
Although a bit slow at times, this book had me coming back for more

emotionally wounded hero??? sign me the hell up.

Rylie and Carter’s story starts way before the book begins no matter how brief that start was.

It feels that throughout the book Rylie admires Carter, respects him, because of something that happened in the past no matter how hot-and-cold he can be.

Meanwhile, Carter immediately judges her for living in the city and has no recollection of her whatsoever. To him, her and her show are just a way to make money.

Until they aren’t.

Slowly but surely we see Carter’s wall he’s built up around himself crack as he falls in love with Rylie.

Carter: 5 stars

Carter blames himself for the death of an innocent and won’t move on from it. I love this man. He’s very indecisive but god good if he isn’t the sweetest person to walk this earth. I found myself kicking my feet and smiling when he was blushing over something he had said/done infront of Rylie.

Rylie: 4 stars

Hardworking, determined, girl boss. After her boss, who was also her friend, gets murdered, she takes on her role and films the show Darcy died trying to film. She battles with Carters blame of himself and paints the picture of how she views him - her hero.

Admittedly, I expected a bit more romance but the mysteries and tension definitely made up for it.

This is an arc provided to me by Net Galley. Thank you to both them and the author for this opportunity <3

Great romantic Suspense. When Carter fails to save the life of a female director, he signs as a cop and secludes hisself in the mountains he loves, Rylie comes into his life. Will history repeat itself?
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. Thank you for allowing me to review

Carter Marshall is the fourth Marshall brother to find a lifelong partner in this series. Now a retired cop, Carter is running a wilderness survival camp in the Blue Ridge Mountains with some help from his brothers. Rylie Christianson is a TV producer that is trying to get a survival reality show up and running again. The first time ended in disaster and the death of her friend Darcy, it is also where she met Carter Marshall the first time around. While both Carter and Rylie tip toe around their first meeting, the second attempt at the survival show is underway with some major setbacks - mostly directed towards Rylie. Carter is determined to prevent anything happening to her or the other participants and crew, can he find and stop the perp before it's too late?

Blue Ridge Danger was a quick read - in length of the book and the pacing of the action. Something is always happening to move the story and plot lines along. While this is a romance, it is a slow burn with no explicit actions "on screen" so to speak. I enjoyed the book a lot, the characters made sense together, and while I didn't always like some of the dialogue or bizarre eating habits (there's a lot of eggs), it didn't detract from my enjoyment.

Thank you to NetGalley and Hot Tree Publishing for this ARC! It was a quick & fun read that I couldn’t put down! It was also refreshing to have a book not solely focused on spice but I loved the tension between the FMC & MMC. I’m really looking forward to reading more from this author!
