This book is needed in day in time and an important reminder for our children to accept and love everyone.

Jesus and the Outsiders is a wonderful book for kids. The illustrations show what the message is trying to convey to children. The pictures display diversity, reiterating the fact Jesus wanted to included everyone.

The story includes different biblical examples of Jesus including outsiders and relates these stories in a way children can understand.

Considering that Jesus and the Outsiders is geared for kids, I found this book to do a wonderful job teaching us about Jesus' character. Weaving together a few specific accounts from the Bible, Jesus and the Outsiders teaches children about those who we may think are outsiders, even if we think it's us.
Written as an easy read for kids, the vocabulary was appropriate to the ages it is meant for. A few areas of wordiness could be cleaned up in order to get the point across a little more clearly, but overall a very good read.
The illustrations are colorful without being too cartoonish. I would recommend Jesus and the Outsiders for parents, youth group leaders or Sunday school teachers.
