I had seen Jerry Portnoys name in album liner notes and knew he was a member of The Legendary Blues Band, but other than that I knew very little about him. This is a fascinating chronicle of his life, told with a quick pace and a self deprecating sense of humor. I found it to be a relatively short, engaging read. Recommended for anyone interested in the blues. Strongly recommended.
