"Future Files" offers a fun exploration of current and emerging technologies and how they may evolve or become extinct in the next 50 years. I feel this would be a fun book to use in a high school classroom, particularly given that it was published in 2010 and 20% of the timeline has now come to pass. What did the author get right? What has happened "ahead of the projected timeline" or what tech remains that was predicted to be "extinct"?

While the book can offer a fun conversation starter and the basis for further investigation about science, tech, society, and more... It isn't an authoritative or definite resource about any of these things.
