Let's just say I quit this parade of vacuous, unlikeable people long before Darah even turned up. It started so badly I had to wonder if I'd been sent the right e-arc. This could give me no pleasure – but neither really does giving it one and a smidge stars back.

Thank you Maverick for the drc via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I found it difficult to get into this one. It started off sort of feeling like we should already know the characters and what's going on. The dialogue didn't do much for me and a lot of the characters were very shallow with some of their actions making little sense. It is intended to be a school drama and it does have that with the typical "cool kids" excluding or dropping/ghosting their supposed friends which felt realistic but some of the "pranks" were pretty cruel for their age. I was interested in the family drama and would have liked this more if it was focused more on that with a good resolution. This one just wasn't for me but if you're looking for a quick read with plenty of drama and some mystery, then you might like this one.

Sarah and Darah was such a fun, dramatic ride. It’s messy, it’s fierce, and it perfectly captures the high school chaos of reputation, betrayal, and revenge—with just enough heart to keep you emotionally hooked.
Darah’s return to Placeside High after years in exile was everything I wanted. The tension between her and Sarah is magnetic—like every scene between them buzzes with old wounds and unspoken grudges. The graphic novel format made the emotions hit even harder, and the artwork? Gorgeous. Pia Prado’s illustrations add such richness to every glare, every flashback, every twist.
It’s dramatic, yes. But also layered. Underneath the snark and power plays, there’s real vulnerability—about identity, sisterhood, and the cost of trying to stay on top.
If you love stories with big energy, complicated friendships, and a heroine who doesn’t play by the rules—this one’s for you. I flew through it and already want more.

Thank you to NetGalley and Mad Cave Studios for the e-arc!
Sarah and Darah is a compelling high school drama following the titular characters as they struggle to deal with unresolved business between themselves and their families. I found this title to be just alright. I liked the art style but I felt the characters were very one dimensional which made the plot feel unserious. I do think if there was better character work I would have loved this but sadly it did not work for me.

I did not enjoy this title. So many of the characters are unlikeable and the art style made everyone look like they were made of rubber. Just not for me. I don't mind drama but everyone was so mean.
