This book literally saved my life! I was swallowed by a whale and... OK that's not true. But I absolutely fell in love with Joy and Benny right from the start. The dynamic between the two main characters is electric, and by the end of the book I felt like I had been friends with them for years. The story was perfectly paced, with exciting twists and turns that kept me guessing the whole time. I felt myself fighting between devouring the whole book, and slowing myself down to savor the beautiful writing. What an amazing debut from an author who will surely be a household name in no time.

Started strong and had an interesting plot, but lost momentum a little over halfway through. Felt predictable at times and tried to create tension/events for the sake of moving the plot a specific direction instead of building upon anything preexisting within the book. I still wanted to finish and did enjoy parts of this book, but struggled to stay engaged the farther into it I got.

This story might keep you up all night. What an absolutely addictive page-turner! Just when you think you might be able to turn out the light, another chapter ends with another challenge: how are you going to quit now? The bonds of friendship, family, and marriage are tested again and again as a couple goes missing without any apparent reason -- until the chapters of a soul-baring memoir begin to reveal what might have gone wrong. This Story Might Save Your Life is intimate, fast-paced, twisty, and completely satisfying.

So skillfully, Crum weaves together a thrillery plot with such nuanced characters you can't help investing in their story—one that is taut with mystery and somehow both soft and sharp with yearning. That's the true heart of this story—the friendship between Joy and Benny—all the things they feel, all the things they say (and don't say). And I can't say enough about how much I loved this story!

This is such a fantastic thriller, I was on the edge of my seat! True crime meets love story, it reminded me a little of “with a kiss we die” by LR Dorn. I love a podcast/celebrity thriller SO MUCH

Grateful to receive an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. I read this a few weeks ago and haven't been able to stop thinking about it since. I absolutely loved it. This thriller has an incredible amount of heart. Couldn't put it down!

This book had me in a stranglehold right from the very beginning! The suspense made me not want to put it down, but the underlying sweetness of Benny and Joy’s relationship made me want it to never end. I loved it!!

I enjoyed this one! Joy and Benny had a strong connection and I loved how they understood each other. It was a fun mystery trying to figure out where Joy was with Benny. Some good twists although I guessed a few things on the way.

You will fall in love with Benny and Joy, just like their thousands of podcast listeners. You will laugh with them, you will cry with them and then you will be terrified for them. And, if you learn from their mistakes this amazing thriller might just save your life.
