I really enjoyed this audiobook. Once I started, I didn't want to stop until the book was finished. Both voice actors were really great. I'll upload a more detailed review to Instagram. I'll also update with a link once it's posted.

The book Jilted by Vi Keeland was such a fun romance read!
Aiden Snow and Andi Arndt are two of my favorite narrators, and they did an amazing job bringing this book to life.

Highly recommend!

Wedding season is right around the corner…are you ready?
Sloane endured the most humiliating moment of her life. She was left at the alter. Yikes!
Putting it behind her wouldn’t be the easiest thing, to say the least. Especially given the fact that she’s a writer for Bride Magazine, showcasing bridal events. Ironic...don't ya think?💁🏼‍♀️

Her latest project puts her right in the middle of a bridezilla moment when she’s directed to substitute as a bridesmaid to replace a missing one.

No worries, Sloane can roll with it. That is until she’s matched up with the most handsome and self assured groomsman in the wedding party. No, no, no! Sloane is not ready to take another chance at love.

Come on Sloane… take a bold step and just give him a chance!

This was a fun, spicy rom-com. I enjoyed both Sloane and Wilders’ characters. The chemistry between the two worked!

🎧 The audio was narrated by Andy Arndt and Aiden Snow. Both did a fantastic job with their characters!

Audio review
Narrated by: Andi Arndt and Aiden

Main characters
Sloane
Wilder

Loved loved loved Wilder. He comes off as a bit of a jerk but he is hiding a wild past and major insecurities.
He has the rep of a player and it was earned. He went all in with Sloane. The way he took care of her was more than swoon worthy.
Sloane had her own insecurities. After her fiancée left her at the alter, she went on a man diet. She gave herself a year free of relationships. Wilder came in early in the game. He was willing to put in the work to show her he was worth it.
A easy read. There are a few moments of angst. Overall a fun read. The supporting characters were pretty awesome too. The younger siblings hs were cute and added humor.

Jilted was a fun and unique storyline that grabbed me right from the start. Being left at the altar did not turn Sloane into a cynical bride, she has a job to do afterall. This story takes place during wedding season. Sloane works for a bridal magazine and the boss's son has the best idea to have his whole friend group featured as they are all getting married. The boss's son also turns out to be the incorrigible Wilder who she now can't get rid of.
Sloane and Wilder's banter is entertaining. There's a serious love/hate relationship for Sloane and Wilder is a very male oriented character who is full of ego, has no shame and does not care what he says or does.
I listened to the audiobook and was thoroughly entertained throughout. I never felt bored and I enjoyed this slight change to the normal romances that I seem to read.

Jilted is a slowburning romance full of witty banter and wedding chaos. The story of a jilted bride stuck working with the groom’s son is both funny and heartfelt. The chemistry builds nicely and feels real, even if it takes its time. Perfect for anyone who loves clever, swoony romance with a side of humor.

I have heard the name Vi Keeland for years but had yet to read any of her books. Thank you to @macmillan.audio and @netgalley for changing that! All opinions are my own.

Sloane (Sloan? Sorry, I listened!) was jilted at the altar, which makes the fact that she has been obsessed with weddings since she was a child, and currently works for Bride Magazine, hit a little differently these days. She is working at a wedding that involves her big boss’s son, but fortunately she is staying clear of him. Or is she?

This book is fun and is high on the flirting, bickering, bantering and chemistry. The main character’s backstories are fleshed out and make so much sense for them. This book is mostly in the present but we delve back in the past a bit, too. Our main character has a diabetic insulin pump, and I always appreciate when a fictional character has traits that are so human. The love scenes were a little gratuitous, but I believe that is expected from this author. A good quote to semi-summarize this book is,“ I think both of our pasts are getting in the way of our future.”

Narrators Andy Arndt was great and Aiden Snow’s accent was so deep it sounded fake. People walk around with voices like that? I am imagining him saying normal sentences like “I have to go to the bathroom” and am laughing to myself. I got used to it so don’t let it hold you back.

This was an enjoyable read and I will check out the author’s other work!

Vi Keeland's Jilted (audiobook) throws listeners into a hilariously infuriating, yet ultimately charming, romantic comedy centered on a woman who has every reason to hate weddings. Our protagonist, still reeling from being abandoned at the altar a year prior, finds her "dream job" at Bride magazine has become a recurring nightmare.

Adding insult to injury, a recent assignment lands her filling in as a bridesmaid, paired with the infuriatingly gorgeous Wilder Hayes. Their initial encounter is a whirlwind of bickering and undeniable attraction, culminating in a memorable "coat closet incident." She's convinced she'll never have to see him again, a comforting thought that quickly shatters.

Monday morning reveals a shocking truth: Wilder isn't just a jerk; he's also her boss's son. This means she'll be spending the entire wedding season working by his side. Keeland masterfully sets up a "match made in heaven... or hell," promising a delightful journey as these two navigate forced proximity, undeniable chemistry, and the awkwardness of a workplace romance. Listeners will be rooting for this jilted heroine as she tackles her professional and personal nightmares head-on.

I've read a few short stories by Vi Keeland that have solidified my interest in her as an author. So I was really excited to pick up Jilted, a full romance novel marketed with a 27 Dresses vibe. Sloane was the Jilted former bride and easy to care about right away. Wilder is the the typical handsome rogue who just needed the right woman to change all of his ways. Together they find out they have more in common that they thought and might be able to help each other heal and move on.

First the meet cute. This was done really well when Sloane gets bamboozled into being in the wedding party last minute when a bridezilla has a melt down. She and Wilder have instant heat and chemistry but Sloan is taking a year off from dating and Wilder is dangerous to that plan. No problem though, they might have had a super hot moment in the coat closet and the best kiss of Sloane's life but she should be safe from seeing him again and can just hold that moment as a fond memory.

Wilder on the other hand has a different plan. He is the son of the owner of Bride Magazine that Sloane works for and pitches an idea for Sloane to cover the weddings of all of his college buddies. This plan with put them together at multiple weddings he is slated to be in. There is just something about Sloane that Wilder can't put a finger on, but she is the first girl he has wanted more with than just a fling and he is willing to put in some work to see if he can build a relationship with her.

In a short time, Vi Keeland built a very cute story. I loved that Sloane's family played such a big role in her life and the author hit on some of the challenges families face when a parent has a severe illness and how families pull together when tragedies hit. Sloane's family was fantastic and made her all the more real on page. Wilder was easy to like as well. Just a little broken due to a huge betrayal in his past that gets teased out along the way, we see him falter in a few places. I do appreciate the recoveries from these lapses are resolved swiftly with communication between the couple and added tension to the story but were not dragged out. There is one trope in this that isn't my favorite but the author made it work and it made sense with Wilder's history.

Overall this is an enjoyable romance with a few weddings, sweet moments and relationship tensions that all work out in the end.

Aiden Snow is an established narrator with an extension catalog of work. His voice has a deep unique timbre that worked well for how I imagined Wilder. Andi Arndt is just as accomplished as a narrator and it shows. Both narrators added to their characters and made them likeable, even when they did unlikeable things, you could tell they were conflicted and it made them all the more real.

The cute cover immediately drew me in and I had to read it. Unfortunately, this book just wasn't for me. I had trouble connecting to the main characters, Wilder and Sloane, which made it difficult to get into the book. I found the MMC unlikeable and FMC character flat with little personality.

3.5 Stars!

Thank you NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for this Alc of Jilted.

Jilted is about Sloane, who writes for Bridal Magazine. Sloane has always loved weddings ever since she was a little girl. Then she was left at the altar on what was supposed to be the best day of her life. She meets Wilder at a wedding that she is writing for and spends time with him thinking that she would never see him again. Then she has to write a series of 12 weddings, where she will see Wilder at every one.

I thought this one was very cute. It was dual narration, and I thought the narrators did an excellent job. The characters were interesting and the story flowed well. If you are looking for a cute Rom Com about weddings this is for you.

The narrators for Jilted are Aiden Snow and Andi Arndt, Aiden Snow is known for his pleasing baritone voice and has been dubbed “the crown prince of audio romance”. You may recognize him as the narrator for Ana Huang’s Twisted Series, the Ritual by Shantel Tessier, and several Carissa Broadbent books. Andi Arndt is also known as a classically-trained actress and public radio host. She has studied 5 languages (Spanish, Dutch, Italian, French, and Mandarin Chinese. Very impressive indeed!

This is my first Vi Keeland book and I will definitely be reading more! I’ve been hearing about Vi Keeland for the past few years and now I finally understand the hype. She is able to write a slow-burn romance that any person would wish for (even dream about) and integrate the perfect mix of humor and humility.

In Jilted, Sloane spends every waking moment thinking, talking, and writing about weddings. She plans them and makes sure they end up being every bride’s dream. She has always dreamed of being married and knows exactly what she wants her wedding to look like. However, when her fiance left her at the altar everything changed. Her job at Bride Magazine became the nightmare that she never wanted.

When Sloane was hired to work a wedding that a Bridezilla mother wanted to be perfect for her son, she ends up chatting with a groomsman all day…and making out with him all night. Is this a rebound romance or everything that she never knew she needed?

Love love love! This has the charm of 27 dresses but a little more fight and angst at the beginning :) I loved the steam and the cute read!

This book was so fun! I loved the heroine was a writer for a Bridal magazine and was a Jilted bride that was left at the alter. Sloan and Wilder had great chemistry and it was sweet watch Sloane overcome her heartache and try to trust in love again. This book has fabulous witty banter and laugh out loud moments. I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

Sloane is an editor at Bride magazine and has been roped into being a last-minute bridesmaid at one of the weddings the magazine is covering. Paired with the gorgeous groomsmen, Wilder Hayes, Sloane enjoys the wedding and event has an unexpected coat closet momement with the best kiss of her life. But on Monday morning, Wilder is revealed to be Sloane’s boss’ son and now she will be seing him all year as she attends more weddings of his college friends. Will she survive wedding season?

I loved this idea of a whole friend groups weddings over the course of a year and the two MCs knowing they will continue to see each other. Add in that Wilder’s dad is Sloane’s boss so there’s secret dating, an over protective family, and while one of my least favorite tropes appears (accidental pregnancy) this was a fun read of a girl figuring out love after a broken engagement to a celebrity rugby player.

An absolutely delightful escape! While charming and lighthearted on the surface, I appreciated the thoughtful depth Vi Keeland wove throughout the story. Narrated from dual POVs with perfectly placed flashbacks, this second chance romance delivers sharp wit, playful banter, and irresistible chemistry—with just the right amount of steam.

This was a lighthearted enjoyable read. The storyline got a little predictable, but most rom-coms have a similar trend. Overall, it was a good cozy read with a little spice.

Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for granting me early access to this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

I liked the premise of this book. I am a sucker for dual perspective romances. This was no exception. I just wish the MMC was more relatable. I think the author probably did a good job of giving a true male perspective, but it felt objectifying to read as a woman. He was kind of a douche-canoe which made all of his grand gestures and positive attributes less meaningful.

The FMC was relatable. Her vibe was very much an always a bridesmaid, never the bride.

Overall, it was definitely spicy but enjoyable. I definitely recommend for romance lovers. Especially of the lust to love variety.

Are you a Vi Keeland fan? Check out Jilted. It was an entertaining read. I listened to it in audiobook form and really enjoyed it. It's available now.

This book is everything I love in a romance: slow-burn, charged chemistry, and characters who aren't looking for love—but find it anyway. She was set on not dating, and he was used to short-term flings. Neither expected to find something real, but their connection was undeniable and kept building in the most satisfying way.

The emotional depth of the story took me by surprise—in the best way. What really stood out to me was how Vi Keeland wove in serious, real-world issues with such care and authenticity. From the heroine’s diabetic pump and her father’s battle with Parkinson’s to the hero’s grief over his mother’s cancer, his coach’s dementia, and even the tragic loss of his high school girlfriend to an overdose, the book didn’t shy away from the hard stuff. Instead, it gave weight to these experiences while still offering a sense of hope and healing.

I was so enthralled by the characters’ emotional journey and the slow build of their relationship that I finished the entire book in a single day—I just couldn’t put it down. And I have to give major praise to the audiobook version as well. The dual narration was absolutely masterful. Both voice actors brought the characters to life so vividly that it made the story even more immersive.

If you’re looking for a romance that’s both emotionally rich and deeply romantic—with a perfect touch of spice—Jilted is a must-read.
