✨ ALC Review ✨
What a cute, bantery romcom! This was my first Vi Keeland novel *and* my first time listening to Aiden Snow in a dual narration. I’ve only heard him once before as part of a multicast. I wasn’t sold on him right away, but about a quarter of the way through, I got it.
Sloane is a wedding reporter for Bride magazine who was jilted at the altar a few months ago. Yikes! But she still loves weddings and everything that goes with them. Wilder Hayes is a groomsman at one of the weddings she’s writing about. They end up partnered for wedding. Yes, there’s a story for that. It’s cute and they’re adorable. He calls her “cupcake.” She can’t get over his gorgeous eyes and a searing kiss they shared.
Cut to Monday: He’s her boss’s son and he’s convinced his dad that the magazine (Sloane specifically) should do a feature on all the weddings of his fraternity brothers throughout the year. Fun since he’ll be a groomsman in all of them.
Ahhhh!!! So much fun. If you’re looking for a delightfully sweet and low stakes romcom, this is a book for you.
Recommended for lovers of weddings, rugby players (those thighs!), and close families!

The book was okay. One thing that would have liked from the audiobook was maybe something like “then” or a date because there were parts that I was confused. I have two other books from this author that I’m looking forward to.

Jilted follows the story of Sloane and Wilder, two characters who carry significant baggage from odious past relationships. Sloane was left at the altar on her wedding day and Wilder swore off relationships after his last two serious relationships ended horribly. Ever the play-boy, Wilder isn't someone Sloane is confident she can trust but he is determined to win her over. Their love is a slow-burn that delivers witty banter, heated love scenes and tender, heartwarming moments. I appreciated the character growth from both Sloane and Wilder as well as their communication skills and Wilder's respect for Sloane's wish to take things slow. I also really enjoyed the side characters in this story and how they helped us to understand the Sloane and Wilder on a deeper level. And I actually enjoyed Wilder's flashback chapters; I felt like they delivered extra layers to Wilder's characters beyond the player we know him as. I loved this book and I'd definitely pick it up again.
I listened to the audiobook and I need to give credit where credit is due: they were fantastic. I can't imagine a better voice for Wilder than Aiden Snow. I felt like his voice not only matched the ex-rugby, sultry playboy so well, but delivered his tender moments and emotions so well. And Andi Arndt has delivered once again with a passionate narration that easily helped the listener really feel all of Sloane's emotions.

This is a meet cute romance trope which is pretty spicy (3/5 spicy peppers). I enjoyed the lovable characters and the plot of the story.

I really enjoyed this book. Romance isn't always my go to but if it's a romcom, I'll usually give it a go and this did not disappoint. I think, personally, I would've chosen to read this via ebook or physical. I liked the female narrator but the male's voice was too low for me and I was uncomfortable with how long her drew out the work "fxck". I understand the meaning behind why it was drawn out but it made me cringe a bit to be honest. In regards to the book content, I think it was fun, the open-door romance aspect was just enough to still fit into the romcom aesthetic without going too far into erotica. I think this was great. 3.5 round up to 4 stars from me.

Dual narration performed by Andi Arndt & Aiden Snow
• He Falls First • Slow Burn • Boss’s Son • Forced Proximity •
She’s a wedding blogger who gets pulled to stand-in for a missing bridesmaid and he’s the groomsman she gets paired with. He’s also her boss’s son!
They both have complicated pasts that would absolutely leave them jaded about love, but when it’s the right person, none of that matters. And that’s absolutely the case with Sloane and Wilder!
This one was such a feel-good story! Their first interaction is laced with amazing banter but the sexual tension is off the charts! And when she ends up getting assigned to cover more of his friends’ weddings, it feels serendipitous.
And let’s talk about the narration! Andi carried the majority of the story, with most of it being in the FMC’s POV and she did amazing! She really brought Sloane’s personality to light! And Aiden . . . I could listen to him all day. He was perfect for Wilder!
Thank you so much to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for the ALC!

I listened to the audiobook version of this book.
Sloane, coming off her own failed wedding, spends her days in the worlds of weddings, writing for a Bride magazine. When she is thrown into playing bridesmaid in one of her covered weddings, she meets groomsman, Wilder. And sparks fly.
There were some definite over the top, suspending disbelief moments of the plot, but overall fun read.

This was a very frustrating book, the lead character and the premise of the book jsut didn't work for me, she is smaret and knowledgable and so unself-aware, it made me crazy

Jilted had all the ingredients of a fun romcom—quirky characters, awkward meet-cutes, and plenty of banter—but unfortunately, it just wasn’t my vibe.
The premise had potential, and I can see this being a hit for readers who enjoy over-the-top humor and second-chance chaos. But for me, the comedy felt a bit forced, and I struggled to connect with the characters or get invested in their romance. The pacing dragged in parts, and some of the plot points leaned a little too far into the absurd for my taste.
That said, I appreciate what the author was going for, and I know this kind of humor really works for some readers—it just didn't land for me.
If you’re into lighthearted, slightly messy romcoms with dramatic flair, Jilted might be worth a shot!

Jilted by Vi Keeland was exactly the kind of light, charming escape I needed between heavier reads. After being left at the altar, our heroine has more than a little baggage when it comes to weddings—and men. Enter Wilder Hayes, the annoyingly attractive groomsman she’s forced to work alongside all wedding season. Their enemies-to-something-more dynamic had me grinning from the start, especially after that coat closet moment (yes, it lives up to the hype).
While the plot follows familiar rom-com beats, the execution is fun and engaging. Keeland’s writing is sharp, and the dialogue crackles with wit and flirtation. The story doesn’t dig too deep emotionally, but that wasn’t what I was looking for here—it was the perfect palate cleanser between more intense reads.
If you’re in the mood for a feel-good romance with sizzle, sarcasm, and just enough heart to leave you smiling, Jilted fits the bill beautifully. The audiobook narrators also did a fantastic job bringing the characters to life. Their performances captured the tension, humor, and vulnerability of the story perfectly, making the experience even more enjoyable.

Jilted is emotional, steamy, and just the right amount of angsty. The chemistry between the leads is instant but layered with history, heartbreak, and healing. Vi Keeland balances the swoon and the substance so well — it’s sexy and sincere. There’s a second-chance vibe that actually feels earned, not just convenient. A solid, satisfying read that hits all the right romance beats.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Rated R for strong language, sexual content, and emotional baggage.

4.5 stars!!⭐️I loved, loved, loved this audiobook! The book would have been 5 stars BUT I wish the ending didn't feel rushed.
This is a dual narration audiobook. The narrators Aiden Snow and Andi Arndt did a phenomenal job bringing this story to life. The actual MMC's voice was completely different from when the FMC narrated the MMC's part in her chapters. In her chapters, he has more of a British accent and his in chapters it's more English and 100x deeper/rougher. It didn't take away from the story at all but it took me a minute to accept it.
Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for the ALC. All opinions are my own.

4 Can They Find Love Stars!!
What a fabulous and fun audiobook Ms. Keeland has written. Both Andi Arndt and Aiden Snow do a wonderful job bringing this story and characters to life!
Sloane has experienced the worst thing that can happen to a bride that also works for a bridal magazine, she’s been left at the altar. To add insult to injury she has to not only be a stand-in bridesmaid but she’s walking down the aisle with a very good looking groomsman.. problem is he rubs her the wrong way and when she finds out she’ll be spending all sorts of time with him thanks to the fact that he’s the son of the owner of the magazine she works for.
Let the fun times begin! I loved listening to this book. Witty banter was on point, sizzling chemistry and laugh out loud moments that kept a smile on my face from beginning to end.

Jilted was a very sweet and fun rom-com. I've been in a reading slump for months and this helped get me out of it.
I'm not the biggest fan of the trope that leads to the 3rd act kind-of-breakup, but aside from that, I loved it. The chemistry between the characters, the settings, and the family ties were strong.

“Jilted”was such a frustrating read that reminded me exactly why I stopped picking up Vi Keeland’s books years ago.
The cover is the best part of the book, the contents were, unfortunately, a letdown on almost every front.
Let’s start with the male lead, Wilder, a character I found utterly unlikeable. His whining about how hard it is not to sleep with pretty much every attractive woman who throws herself at him was tiresome and off-putting. His reaction to rejection (getting drunk and sulking like a child) only made him more unlikeable, and his behavior toward Sloane often came off as controlling rather than romantic. Showering her with gifts and even choosing her clothes, including her underwear, felt like a huge red flag. This wasn’t charming, it bordered on possessiveness.
Wilder's chapters were especially painful to read. His cringeworthy dirty talk and general bad attitude toward women gave off misogynistic vibes. The book had a bit of an “all other women suck except the heroine” vibe.
As for Sloane, I struggled to connect with her because she barely had a personality. She felt more like a blank slate than a real character.
The romance between Sloane and Wilder lacked any emotional depth and seemed based on physical attraction only with no real connection beyond instalust.
The story itself didn't do much to redeem the book either. The plot twist was glaringly obvious, so was one of Wilder’s “grand gestures.” The pacing dragged, and I was tempted to skip entire sections (especially Wilder’s POV) just to get it over with. There were also a few strange, off-putting comments from secondary characters (Sloane’s father), particularly around topics like guns, which felt tone-deaf and also completely unnecessary.
In short, “Jilted” reads like a shallow, smut-heavy romance with little emotional substance and characters who lacked chemistry or complexity. If you’re looking for a compelling love story with depth and likable leads, this isn’t it.

Loved this romance audio with dual narrators and POVs.
He falls first, playboy to boyfriend - Wilder is hot and knows what he wants! Sloan is a wedding lover, working for a bridal magazine, even after being left at the alter herself. She has a big protective family! Her journey of opening her heart back up is sweet. Amazing diabetic rep with Sloan also! It was a bit of a slow burn but once we got to spice it was good! Cannot wait to check out some of Vi's backlist books!

Loved this one! This slow-burn romance had me hooked from the start with the perfect mix of emotional depth and sexual tension.
Honestly, I'm still thinking about how refreshing it was to see characters actually TALK to each other! No silly drama - just two people being real about their fears and dreams. Can I get an amen for that?!
The chemistry between Sloane and Wilder is top notch, and their banter had me laughing one minute and fanning myself the next! And can we talk about how Sloane doesn't turn into a puddle just because a hot rich guy shows interest? Love a strong female lead who knows her worth!
This billionaire romance hits all the right spots without feeling cheesy.

This is definitely a slow burn, swoon worthy romance. Sloane has been obsessed with weddings since she was a little girl. She works for Bride Magazine in New York. Then she's left at the altar and is dealing with seeing everybody else get their happily ever after wondering if she ever will. One of the weddings she was covering she spontaneously had to fill in for a bridesmaid and that's how she met Wilder, a groomsmen with azure eyes. One look and she couldn't stop thinking about him. This was a super cute wedding romance of Sloane and Wilder. The narration for each of them was fantastic and really added to the story. Their witty banter was great and narration made it even better to listen to. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC audiobook.

Vi Keeland is an auto read author for me ! And jilted was just as great as the others I’ve read. Her humor is unmatched!!! I am laughing from start to finish.
Not only is this giving perfect romcom vibes. Vi Keeland writes the fictional men of my dreams. Wilder was everything this in this book and I was rooting for sloane the entire time!
Another perfect story in my opinion.
Thank you netgalley for the arc in exchange for my honest review .

What I’m Starry-Eyed Over:
🤩 I’ve been wanting to read a Vi Keeland for a while.
🤩 Diabetes representation. And Parkinson’s.
🤩 Weddings.
🤩 Coat closets & cupcakes. 🚪🧁
🤩 Moratorium. Six months?! Give me those needy feels.
What I’m Wishing/Dizzy About:
💫 I don’t like secrets and trauma that affect the other MC. I prefer some therapy representation and a different kind of plot.
💫 I was wishing for more feels and more captivating scenes, especially wedding scenes.
💫 The plot was a bit underwhelming.
💫 More details in the steamy scenes.
