"Jilted" by Vi Keeland is the perfect palate cleanser book. It's full of humor, sass, and spice. I laughed quite a bit while reading this because the main characters, Sloan and Wilder, have some terrific banter with one another. I enjoyed this one as a whole, though I did feel like I wanted a bit more spark between Sloan and Wilder. It is a slow-burn, but once the burn gets going, it's fiery! Aiden Snow and Andi Arndt give the perfect narration performances here. They completely embody Wilder and Sloan as characters. They both give great performances full of excellent pacing and diction. I particularly loved how growly Snow was.
Thank you to NetGalley, Vi Keeland, and Macmillan Audio for the complimentary ALC of this book. All opinions are my own. I was not compensated for this review.

This book went down so easy. I finished it in basically one sitting, it’s exactly what you want from a BRAD (beach read after dark). Vi Keeland never leads me astray in the romance department.

Jilted had me from Page One! Funny, all the feelings, clever writing and banter, endearing characters—sign me up!
Sloan has been obsessed with weddings since she was a little girl, so it’s fitting that she’d end up as a Bride magazine writer. Until her fiancé gets to the altar and says “no thanks” and crushes her heart. So these days, she’s on a man moratorium—a yearlong hiatus from dating to figure things out for herself.
But then she bumps into Wilder, who has the most gorgeous eyes she’s ever seen, at a wedding. She can ignore the instant chemistry, right? Maybe. But the banter starts right away, and they’re both feeling something, though neither wants to admit it. Wilder has his own baggage, but Sloan’s got him tied up in knots and rethinking his outlook on love.
I could absolutely feel the tension between them, the connection they had, and loved reading their interactions, the buildup of the relationship, the way Wilder showed up for Sloan (most of the time) and built her up, the way she did the same for him. They were both genuinely wonderful people, each with some baggage and hangups, but not ridiculous or annoying. They worked through things like grownups (again, most of the time). When they screwed up, they figured it out and admitted it.
The author did an incredible job bringing Sloan and Wilder together and having them push through things in a relatable, charming way. Plus the steamy scenes were perfect. I was sad when Jilted was over—I wanted to keep hanging out with Sloan, Wilder, and Sloan’s whole family.
And the narrators? Perfection! Definitely get the audiobook if you’re going to read Jilted. Andi Arndt and Aiden Snow were masterful.

I so enjoyed the audio of Jilted! It was a fun story with excellent banter. I loved the way they met and continued to meet up along their friends' wedding journeys. Great story!

ALC Review
Jilted by Vi Keeland
Dual Narration by: Andi Arndt & Aiden Snow
I will always love Vi Keeland books. This one was a lot of fun. Sloan absolutely loves weddings and is actually a writer for a bride magazine. She meets Wilder at a wedding she is covering. It is well known that he is quite the playboy - so of course, after being jilted, she is super wary about pursuing anything.
Oh but this man is quite persistent. He became SOOOO mushy and I was here for it.
The narration was top tier. Andi and Aiden were an excellent combination for this duo.
Pick this one up if you enjoy:
* Jilted bride
* Former rugby star
* He falls first
* Rich playboy
* Long distance mixed with slow burn

Such a feel good rom-com! It has so many tropes that easily flow into each other. I loved the diabetic representation! The FMC did not seem weak because she has diabetes, but yet the author did not make it seemed like it wouldn't affect her life.
The duo narration for this book made the flow of the book seamless. They kept the book hard to put down.
Thank you MacMillian audio for providing me with the advanced listening audio for this book. I enjoyed every minute of it.

What a cute romance! Loved that this took a slightly different spin than I had originally thought. I listened to the narrators and enjoyed the multi cast female/male duo. Thank you to Macmillan Audio. And NetGalley for the ARC.

This was such a great palate cleanser! I thought the story was super well done and the narration was excellent. I love a rich man who is down bad for the FMC and Wilder was exactly that. He took care of Sloane and spoiled her endlessly and it was so fun. The quick wit and banter between these two had me smiling and giggling the whole time.
The audio was fantastic, which is not a surprise with Andi Arndt and Aiden Snow as narrators. I have never met a book I didn’t like with those two in my ears. I am not sure I would have chosen Andi as Sloane if I was reading with my eyes but I think she did a great job!
This was a quick, easy listen that I will definitely be recommending to friends! It’s my first of Keeland’s romances and will not be my last.

2.5 ⭐️
I had such high hopes for this one, but unfortunately it was not for me. I really liked the FMC and would have been happy with solely hearing her POV. I thought the MMC was sleazy and misogynistic. The relationship between the characters seemed very surface lev l and based simply on attraction. The narrator’s voice was also very deep and a bit cringey. Especially so when his accent was inconsistent throughout the book.

This one was a fun listen—rom-com vibes with just enough drama to keep things moving. While the storyline didn’t completely pull me in, I think that’s more about the writing than the performance. I didn’t feel as connected to the characters as I usually like to, but it was still enjoyable for what it was.
The real highlight for me was the narration. Aiden Snow’s voice? Deep, steady, and exactly what you want in a romantic lead. Andi Arndt is consistently great, and together they made the listening experience smooth and well-paced.
If you’re in the mood for something light with strong narration, this one’s worth queuing up—even if it won’t land in your top five.

It was a hot week for new books to be brought into this world! I recently finished JILTED by Vi Keeland and what a fun book this was! First off, there was refreshingly open communication between the main characters which does not happen in most rom-coms/romance novels. I was so happy with this. The next thing I like in a romance is good banter and this book had it. Great mix of banter and spice. Honestly a great cocktail of a book!
Sloane works for a bridal magazine and meets Wilder, a groomsman, in a bridezilla style wedding. The day banter lead to evening flirting & kissing. Sloane, jilted and previously left by her fiancé, has no intention of getting too close to Wilder but things don’t always work out that way. Wilder is a heartthrob and it’s hard not to love his character. The chemistry between this pair is perfect.
If you loved 27 Dresses, I highly recommend this read! Also, perfect for fans of Emily Henry.
So many thanks to @macmillan.audio for sharing this audiobook with me! Another great find that might not have been on my radar if it wasn’t for them.

Jilted by Vi Keeland
Contemporary romance. Alternating POV chapters.
Sloane works for Bride magazine. She’s a little burned out since her own fiancee left her at the alter, and the number of bridezilla she deals with seems overwhelming. When one particular groomsman’s eyes seem to follow Sloane all day, she rebuff’s his comments but is pulled into his orbit for a night of passionate kisses. Seems he’s the son of the magazine’s owner and Sloane is now attending a couple dozen weddings over the next year with that irresistible man. Sloane isn’t ready for a relationship. But Wilder isn’t taking no for an answer.
🎧 I listened to an audiobook copy of this story narrated by Aiden Snow and Andi Arndt. Both did a fantastic job with their POV chapters. Emotions practically jumped off the pages. Aiden’s voice was a bit lower than I’m used to, so I had to slow down and turn up the volume during his chapters. In general I listen at a speed between 1.5 and 1.7.
This couple (of narrators) turned up the heat and made the story and characters come alive for me. I will definitely put them both on my favs list.
Loved the inclusion of family, cops, and firefighters, as well as Parkinson’s.
Sloane and Wilder live in different economic levels but they make it work with easy acceptance. The banter between the couple is entertaining and often laugh-out-loud funny. He’s clearly smitten and isn’t trying to fight it. His flash back chapters are clearly to give the reader more background on him and his romantic history but it’s wasn’t strictly needed. IMO.
Captivating story. Swoon worthy romance.
I received a copy of this from NetGalley and publisher Macmillan Audio.

I really really enjoyed both this story and the audio!
There came a point in this audio where I could not put my ear buds away, and that never happens! I've been open about my issues with audio, but this one was so good I couldn't stop. I enjoyed both Aiden Snow as a narrator and the story. It was the perfect amount of funny and romance. I enjoyed both Wilder and Sloane as characters and particularly loved the representation of a character with diabetes. I really enjoyed the tension created between the two characters created by Sloane's moratorium. Wilder is my new favorite book boyfriend and Vi Keeland is now an autobuy author for me!

Such a cutesie rom-com giving all the Spring time vibes, a perfect way for this bakery owner to kick off into wedding season.
Vi gives us a retired Rugby player, playboy, with a history of troubled relationships who lost all ability to trust in women- that is until he runs into the beautiful bridal magazine journalist Sloane, at a wedding and it is lust+ at first sight. He quickly realizes he will stop at nothing to get this girls attention.
Sloane is an ex bride recovering from her fiancé leaving her at the alter of their wedding, pushing through her, at one time, dream job writing for a bridal magazine and helping to look after the family bar. Next thing you know she finds herself assigned to cover 11 weddings over the next year- all of which will have the dreamy guy she ran into in attendance.
If you’re looking for two really fun characters, with really good chemistry and whitty banter, I think you will fall in love with Wilder and Sloane. On top of the many weddings, and caring for family members, we also get some medical drama thrown in- a huge guilty pleasure of mine. 🤭 Who doesn’t love when the big burly man comes to the rescue and takes care of the weak damsel in distress (just for a minute)?!
This was such a quick and easy read, made even quicker with the audio version read by Aiden Snow and Andi Arndt- two of my all time favorite narrators. They both did an amazing job portraying both of the characters as well as our side characters. I could listen to either one of them all day long (and I often do).
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Spice 🌶️🌶️.5

The narrators were fantastic. I love AIden Snow and Andi Arndt.
The story was entertaining and emotional at the same time. I love when the MC falls first and becomes a big mush for the FMC. I liked the small glimpses into Wilder's background with the reveal at the end. It really helped explain why he is the way he is. Sloane was strong, independent, and resilient.

Sloane fantasized having the perfect wedding since she was a child, but after being left by her fiancé on her wedding day, she has since sworn off men.
That could all change when Sloane runs into Wilder, a handsome groomsman with eyes as blue as the sea, that she can’t quite seem to get out of her head.
There’s just a few problems, he’s a serial-dater with an ego almost as big as his rugby career who lives in the UK, while she’s the serial-relationship type with insecurities and a still healing heart and lives in the US.
Not thinking about him is about to get a lot more difficult when Sloane finds out she’ll be working the next 11 weddings that Wilder will be attending as a groomsman.
I absolutely adored all aspects of this audiobook, it made my cheeks hurt from smiling. Jilted doesn’t feel like just another romance novel, with help from the author and narrators, it brings something different to the table. There’s so many laugh out loud, relatable, and heart-warming moments as you watch the characters grow and get to know each other.
Both narrators have very pleasant voices and did a fantastic job portraying and differentiating the main and side characters, which really brought everyone to life and showed off their unique personalities.
It only took one sitting for me to finish Jilted, I did not want to stop listening, the narration has a consistent flow that makes it very easy to listen to, understand, and enjoy. You really feel like you’re in Sloane and Wilder’s shoes.
I cannot recommend this book and audiobook enough! I would even listen to it twice just to feel all the feels again.
“You placed your trust in someone that shattered it. When that happens we’re left with the fragments of a promise that once carried a lot of weight in our hearts.”
“I was tired of staying in and reading self help books to figure out who I was, it was time I figured it out by living.”
“You can’t be afraid to take chances because you got hurt. Life is all about taking chances Sometimes we jump off the cliff and splatter to the ground, but sometimes we jump off and fly.”
“There was no getting a little hurt- because (he) was big love, the kind that doesn’t just take a piece of your heart when he leaves, but punches a gaping whole right through it.”
Thanks so much to NetGalley and Bramble giving me the chance to listen to this amazing story! I can’t wait to check out more by this author and narrators

I enjoy all books by this author. Jilted was my latest favorite from her. It's full of great characters, witty banter between characters, fun laugh out loud moments and a lot of heart tugging emotions. I became invested in the characters from the start and feel like I'm waiting on pins and needles for the ending! I liked every bit of the story and it left me feeling happy when I was done. What a perfect romance! I received an advance copy of the story from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Thank you to Vi and Macmillan audio for a copy of the audiobook!! I really enjoyed this!! It kept me drawn in and was a very quick read, which was great!! I feel like the extra trope towards the end didn’t need to be added to make the book good, but it didn’t make it worse so that’s a bonus. I would totally recommend this to romance readers and can’t wait to see what people think!! Thanks to the publisher and the author again :)

Thank you to Macmillan Audio for providing me an early copy of this audiobook. All opinions are my own.
I absolutely loved the premise of this one! Sloane has always been in love with weddings, so much so she now works at a Bridal magazine. But 6 months ago she got left at the alter, and that love has definitely dwindled. She ends up being thrown into the Bridal Party at one of the weddings she is attending for her job, and meets cocky commitment-phobe, Wilder, who is quickly smitten and hatches a plan in which he gets to see her at a dozen weddings over the course of the next year.
I mean, so fun!
Even though the sparks fly immediately between these two, the burn is still definitely slow, and the sexual tension is so high while we wait for these two to finally give in.
The third act will probably throw off some readers…👀 And I’m not sure I’m the biggest fan either. (I also didn’t LOVE the constant talk about Wilder’s past with women…) but overall I still binged the whole audiobook in a day, and had a good time with it!
Audiobook notes: Fabulous! 👍 Both narrators did a great job!

Parts of this story I enjoyed and other parts left me questioning why. Why did the spicy scenes feel so raunchy and not in a good way? The storyline of this book was fun. Sloane and Wilder meet at a wedding where Sloane is writing a Wedding Journalism piece. Sloane is dealing with some of her own stuff as she was left at the alter 6 months prior. This felt very 2000’s romcom (think 27 dresses paired with misogynistic views and sex.) I cringed at a lot of the spicy scene’s word choices. Not my style. The number of weddings Wilder attending and Sloane wrote about was a lot. Some of the banter was fun to read and I enjoyed the dual POV and dual narrators in this audiobook.
