I loved this cute romance. The characters were easy to read, likeable, and cute together. I really enjoyed him falling for her first because it's ALWAYS the other way around. I loved the dynamic these two had together and that everything was easy for them in an obtainable way, not something that could quite literally never happen. The writing was well done and I believe that this book is going to be a top selling romance book of the summer for sure.

Thank you @macmillanaudio and @vikeeland for the alc of this book from @netgalley

My first Vi Keeland—and it definitely won’t be my last! I took a chance on this ALC, and I’m so glad I did. I absolutely adored this slow-burn romance between Sloane and Wilder.

After being left at the altar, Sloane has sworn off men. Unfortunately, she’s also a writer and podcaster for Bride magazine, so weddings are very much her life. What starts as a simple assignment to cover a wedding quickly spirals into her being strong-armed into wearing a terrible bridesmaid dress and standing in as a last-minute bridesmaid. She’s paired with the oh-so-handsome Wilder Hayes, and their bickering banter carries them all the way to a coat closet rendezvous.

What was supposed to be a one-time assignment turns into a series of wedding events, and Sloane finds herself spending more and more time with Wilder. I loved these two together—Wilder definitely falls first, and he’s all in when it comes to winning Sloane over. The burn is slow, but it’s so worth it.
I also really enjoyed the family dynamic between Sloane, her dad, and her brother—and how quickly Wilder wins her dad over! This book was a total win, and I highly recommend picking it up.

🎤Andi and Aiden did an amazing job with this dual narration. Aiden’s deep voice with a bit of a British accent was perfect for Wilder and his charm. I could listen to Andi read a phone book, she brought Sloane’s wit and charm to life.

This book was not for me.. The insta-lust plot line made the love story seem shallow. The language of this book was vulgar. I was expecting a sweet romcom and this was definitely not that. I also did not enjoy the male narrator’s voice. Thanks to netgalley for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This swoony romance begs the question - can the jilted bride and the man who is afraid of love find a way to heal each other? In true Vi Keeland fashion, this book is such a fun & flirty read! There’s so much to love about this dual POV rom-com. From the get-go, it was clear that Sloan and Wilder had chemistry bursting off the pages. In addition to the witty banter and slow burn romance, this book also has an emotional component and tells the story of a woman learning to trust and love again after unimaginable heartbreak. Wilder is one of the sweetest MMC’s, and I was completely smitten for him! I also really enjoyed how both characters connected over being a caretaker/influential adult figure in their younger sibling’s lives. These two teens added an additional layer of depth to the story, even as secondary characters.

Aiden Snow is one of my favorite male narrators, so it’s no surprise he knocked it out of the park with his performance of Wilder. This man emanates big D energy with his deep, commanding voice. I could listen to him read a phone book and still swoon. And Andi Arndt… is there a character she can’t embody?! Together, this powerful duo made me fall in love with Sloan and Wilder, allowing a seamless transition from audio to book and back for a complete reading experience.

Thank you to Macmillan Audio for an ALC and to Bramble Romance for my #gifted copy of Jilted. All opinions expressed are my own.

This was my first Vi Keeland book and it won't be my last! It was full of spice, wit and drama. I liked the FMC and MMC grew on me.

The dual narration was perfect and let the listener know which character's perspective was being shared. The MMC voice was exactly what I would have thought he would sound like so that added to my enjoyment of the story.

Thank you Net Galley, Vi Keeland and MacMillian Audio for the opportunity to preview this book. The opinions shared are my own.
Jilted is expected to be released on May 6, 2025 just in time for your summer TBR!

Sloane writes for a bridal magazine and fills in as a bridesmaid at one of the weddings she’s covering. She meets one of the handsome groomsmen, who also happens to be a rich, former rugby player who lives a playboy lifestyle. They have a steamy makeout sesh in a closet and expect never to see each other again…until he walks into her office.

Sloane and Wilder have chemistry that’s off the charts. They have fantastic banter and it kept me engaged to the story. Also, this was narrated by Andi Arndt and Aiden Snow, so it’s hard to F a book up listening to those two.

I really enjoyed this one. It was fun. Not overly complicated. Good backstory for each character. If you need an easy (and steamy) summer read, this is the one for you!

I really enjoyed this slow burn, dual POV, sports romance that sees a wedding journalist coerced into covering the weddings of several frat friends over the course of a year and getting wooed by an ex-Rugby player. There was lots of fantastic banter, emotional depth, a surprise pregnancy and excellent disability rep (she has type 1 diabetes and her father has Parkinson's). Wonderful on audio narrated by Aiden Snow and Andi Arndt and highly recommended for fans of authors like Meghan Quinn. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early audio copy in exchange for my honest review!

This was my first dip into a Vi Keeland book, and I wasn’t disappointed!

Sloane and Wilder were really likeable characters, and I loved watching their story unfold. They both had past traumas to work through and I thought it was well done! I knocked it down just because one of my least favorite tropes was introduced into the book and I wasn’t quite prepared for the book to take that turn. The narrators were great, and overall it was a fun audio experience!

Thank you NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for my ALC, in exchange for my honest feedback!

Thank you to Macmillan Audio and NetGalley for the advanced audio copy of this book,

This was my first time with a Vi Keeland book, despite her being an avid romance author. I requested the book based on the title, description, and cover.

Overall, I thought the book had a good plot. Sloane and Wilder are both likable and cute characters with great chemistry. The promised banter could have been a bit sharper, but all-in-all it was a fun listen. I especially liked Wilder's flashbacks to being a young-adult, which provided needed context for his character development. This was a unique part of this book since Sloane didn't have any flashback scenes.

As far as the narration goes, this is a dual POV/dual narrated book. Both narrators voiced their own characters well, but I didn't love the female narrator's voice for the male character. It alternated between being sort of English, to sort of mid-Atlantic... which might have been purposeful based on Wilder's history, but it didn't match the accent the male narrator was using.

This was a easy to digest, cute love story. I would recommend this for any romance reader looking for something fun and wedding related.

Jilted was my first introduction to Vi Keeland’s work, and I can see why she’s such a well-loved voice in contemporary romance. The novel delivers an engaging mix of emotional growth, flirtatious tension, and a steady build toward steamy romance between the two leads, Slone and Wilder.

I listened to the audiobook version and found the female narrator instantly compelling. I was surprised when the male narrator took over—his deep voice didn’t match what I’d pictured and took a bit of time to get used to, but ultimately, his performance added emotional weight and intensity to Wilder’s character.

Around the 70% mark, the verbal foreplay gets significantly more explicit and turns to bedroom spice. While this suits the arc of their developing intimacy, I personally prefer lower spice levels—some scenes had me reaching for the volume control or headphones to avoid awkward moments with family members and neighbors. The story also includes frequent use of strong language, especially the F-word, which may not be to every listener’s taste.

Still, what kept me hooked was the gradual, believable development of Slone and Wilder’s relationship. The emotional pacing felt natural and satisfying, making the steamy payoff feel earned. For listeners comfortable with spicy language and explicit scenes, Jilted offers a heartfelt, heat-filled romance that’s well worth a listen—and a bold first step into Vi Keeland’s work.

Thanks to Netgalley and Macmillan Audio for the ALC. This is my honest review.

I started Jilted really enjoying the storyline and characters—Vi Keeland has a way of pulling you in with her writing, and this book was no exception at first. The setup was fun, the chemistry was strong, and I was genuinely curious to see where the story would go.

That said, around the halfway mark, things got a little too spicy for my taste. I didn’t think I was particularly sensitive to steamier scenes, but this one surprised me. The language and details became a bit much, especially while listening to the audiobook—I definitely found myself blushing and hoping no one nearby could hear what I was hearing!

I received the advanced audiobook and overall enjoyed the narration. I liked the dual narrators, and the back-and-forth between characters was smooth and easy to follow. One small gripe: Wilder is mentioned as having a faint British accent, but the male narrator didn’t reflect that, which felt like a missed detail.

All in all, Jilted is well-written and definitely delivers on heat, but it may be too steamy for readers who prefer a lighter romantic tone. I’ll stick to Vi Keeland’s thrillers—which I love—but romance fans who enjoy bold, passionate reads will probably have a great time with this one.

Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for my audiobook of this story.

Vi Keeland is always an automatic one click author for me. Shes been one of my top authors for years.

Jilted was a fun and entertaining story. The narrators really hit all my boxes. I loved every bit of it. A slow burn romance that will have you feeling all the emotions and laughing along with the characters.

Sloane works for a bridal magazine but when she’s left at the alter, she swears off men for one year. Wilder doesn’t do relationships. He is a playboy through and through until Sloane…When these two meet in a coat closet, they never thought they’d be going to the same weddings all summer. Reading/listening to these two fall was so satisfying. Lots of giggles and feet kicking happened while listening to this book. As always Keeland has written another amazing story. I loved it!

Highly recommended.

This is for the readers who love a cutesy slowburn romance. I thought I fell into that category, but it turns out I don’t. This is the SLOWEST Slowburn with no tension, and I STRUGGLED. Honestly, I did not want to continue on with this book. Then, I fell asleep and woke up to the main characters in a relationship and it was smooth sailing from there.

As for the audiobook side of things, I really enjoyed the narrators and thought the production was well done.

Thank you Net Galley for my free ALC in exchange for an honest review. I rated this book 3.5 stars.

✨🌸ALC REVIEW🎧

Once again I’m convinced that Keeland writes the best MMCs in romance books! Wilder wittiness won me. Everything about him was perfection. The Cinderella moment of this book was worth swooning. And like all my favorite stories besties “he falls first” 🙃

I loves Sloan’s character too and it was good to see how Wilder helped her get over her break up, move on and fall in love again. I enjoyed a lot the London set up and everything that happened there😏

The narration was perfect it kept me engaged in the story and the male voice was just perfect for Wilder 😍

This was absolute perfection!

I was lucky enough to get an early review copy through NetGalley and I stayed up so late reading because I could not put it down!

Sloane works for a Bridal magazine covering weddings and after she was recently left at the altar, she’s decided to swear off men for a year. While working a wedding, she meets Wilder and ends up in a coat closet with him. Getting assigned to weddings with the same friend group for the next year, and other reasons, she runs into Wilder over and over again.

Wilder hasn’t had a relationship longer than two months in a decade and is the definition of a playboy, but he is smitten by Sloane and wears her down. Under the witty and crass Wilder is a true sweetheart and the connection and growth between the two of them is my absolute favorite. Vi Keeland knows how to write banter and a slow burn that had me giggling one minute and swooning the next.

I will never not read one of Vi’s book and will definitely be rereading when audio releases!

Thank you so much to Vi and Bramble for the early copy!

ALC REVIEW 4/30/25-5/3/25

Vi Keeland is my absolutely favorite author to listen to as an audiobook and Andi Arndt is one of my comfort narrators! She was excellent as Sloane, per usual and Aiden Snow was the perfect Wilder Hayes!

This was a fun story and performance and an audiobook I will re-listen to frequently! I’m so thankful to Vi and MacMillan Audio for the earlier copy to listen to!

Vi Keeland is one of my favorite authors and I always look forward to her next novel.  I was fortunate to receive the audio version of Jilted, and I listened to it every time I had a free moment. The two main characters were easy to get to know and I enjoyed learning about their lives.

Sloane Carrick was recently left at the altar, and as a result has no desire to seek out a new relationship. She used to live and love all things weddings.  She used to love attending and covering weddings for the national bridal magazine she works for. Now it is just a job, until she meets a groomsman at the lastest wedding she is assigned to cover.

Wilder Hayes is a former famous rugby player in the process of putting an expansion team together. Many of his buddies are getting married this year so he has many weddings to attend.  Due to a prior relationship gone really bad, he enjoys his non-relationship status.  Then Sloan catches his eye and all bets are off.

This is a very engaging story. I liked how Ms. Keeland matured the characters as their slow-burn friendship developed into true romantic love. Unfortunately, I found Wilder's voice and dialogue a bit cringey when he talked about sex. Overall an entertaining read that should not be missed.

This was such a fun, sweet romantic comedy! Jilted follows Salone, a woman left at the altar who continues working at a bridal magazine—talk about irony. While covering a wedding for work, she crosses paths with Wilder, an incredibly attractive man who turns her carefully constructed world upside down.

I absolutely loved the banter and chemistry between Salone and Wilder. Their playful, flirty interactions kept me hooked, and I adored that Wilder was such a cinnamon roll MMC—charming, kind, and surprisingly vulnerable beneath his good looks.

While I enjoyed the story overall, I did wish we got more character development for Salone. We got to see Wilder’s depth through relationship flashbacks, but I felt like we only caught brief glimpses into Salone’s past, which left me wanting more insight into what shaped her.

I listened to this on audiobook and really enjoyed the dual narration—it brought both characters to life and made the story even more engaging.

If you're looking for a light, swoony rom-com with great chemistry and a lovable hero, this one’s worth picking up!

Jilted by Vi Keeland is a light, fun read with plenty of charm, snarky banter, and just the right amount of romantic tension. The story follows Sloane, a writer at Bride magazine who spends her days covering lavish weddings—despite having been literally left at the altar herself. Her job, once a dream, now feels like torture. And to make matters worse, her latest assignment turns chaotic when she's roped into being a stand-in bridesmaid.

Enter Wilder Hayes, the aggravatingly handsome groomsman she’s forced to partner with. Sparks fly in the form of witty jabs and unresolved tension, culminating in a steamy encounter in a coat closet neither of them saw coming. Sloane thinks she’ll never see Wilder again—but fate has other plans. He turns out to be her boss’s son and, surprise, her new wedding coverage partner for the season.

The chemistry between Sloane and Wilder is playful and electric, and their emotional baggage makes for a surprisingly tender undercurrent. While the story is overall heartwarming and entertaining, there are moments where the plot veers off in too many directions—sometimes leaving the reader a bit confused about where it's all going. Still, Vi Keeland pulls it back together in time for a satisfying ending.

If you're in the mood for a flirty workplace romance with wedding chaos, emotional healing, and a slow-burn connection, Jilted delivers. Despite a few hiccups in pacing and focus, I’d definitely recommend it as a cute and engaging escape.

I didn’t realize how much I would love this but wow! This story was so addictive! It’s fun and spicy but also endearing and has enough emotion to make you really feel for the characters and the story itself. Sloan and Wilder were such a great pairing.; witty dialogue, amazing banter, and very swoon worthy moments. Also, bonus points for a boy obsessed!
