This was adorable! I feel that many people can relate to Sad Nuggie. I love the illustrations and hope to see this as an animated series someday. There was a good balance of "sweet" and "sour" moments for Sad Nuggie. I definitely enjoyed reading through this,.

It was a nice drawing, but overall, the story just wasn't my cup of tea. I didn’t really get what the message was supposed to be.

Why am I literally on the verge of tears?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? This book about a chicken nugget has no business being so relatable.

Ever have one of those days where everything seems against you? You spilled coffee on your favorite shirt. You missed your bus. A bird pooped on you. And you forgot your lunch? Sad nuggie knows how you feel

Sad Nuggie is a collection of cute, relatable comics about a Nuggie going through life's ups and downs. The art style is adorable. This little guy was made to be on merch. Gimme a Nuggie plush now! The comics themselves are funny and will make you smile if you're having a bad day. It's a nice lighthearted collection that reminds you everyone has their bad days but the bad days won't last forever.

Sad Nuggie is an adorable comic full of relatable moments for people with anxiety or having a bad day. I laughed out loud at some of the pages and could definitely relate to the majority of the book. The illustrations are so cute, and I love the art style.

I received an ARC from Andrews McMeel Publishing via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

The art is very cute in this book which was quite fun to read. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I had seen the comics one at a time online rather than all in one book. However, fans of the character will probably enjoy having them all in one place to dip in and out of.

I spotted this as a Read Now book and it looked cute, but I didn’t know what to expect. This book was SO CUTE - although Nuggie is, quite literally, a chicken nugget, his story is so relatable and genuine. From trying to make friends, going to therapy and finding his way in the world, there’s something that every reader can connect to in here!

I love the sad nuggie. I follow the author on Instagram and I love every moment of it. This book made me laugh and honestly, I cannot wait to buy the real book for my bookshelf!

I’ve followed Sad Nuggie on Instagram for a while so this is just adorable wholesomeness.

It feels odd writing a review because let’s be honest, this isn’t the type of book one usually reviews! But it’s fun and relatable and nuggie is ADORABLE.

Spoiler? I did find nuggie eating chicken nuggets slightly disturbing though?…. Cannibalism?

I LOVE Sad Nuggie! I found the art style iconic. The situations Nuggie found themselves in was sad but realatable & even with very few words, I was rooting for Sad Nuggie.

I would recommend for fans of Nuggies & anyone who has ever felt out of sync with the universe. We all can be a lil Sad Nuggie from time to time.

This was such a cute read. Poor kitties nuggie taught several life lessons through his misadventures. I loved it! Such a cute book.

The sweet and sour story of the life of a sad little chicken nugget and their new life in the big city.

I’ve been a big fan of the TikTok account behind the Sad Nuggie stuffed animals for a very long time. So this story grabbed me immediately. I loved the artwork, it’s so cute and stylized.

And the relatability of someone just trying their best while dealing with a whole variety of problems, from budgeting to mental health issues to dating, was great. Even when it’s a tiny sad nugget, it was easy to see myself reflected in some of Sad Nuggie’s issues. And it is definitely renewing my interest in buying my own Sad Nuggie to go with this book.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for the opportunity to review this arc!

Sad Nuggie is a short but deeply impactful comic that beautifully captures the emotional rollercoaster of navigating adulthood. In just a handful of pages, it manages to explore themes of loneliness, anxiety, hope, and connection with surprising depth and tenderness.

I found myself genuinely moved, brought to tears by the sense of validation and comfort in seeing emotions I’ve often felt reflected so honestly on the page. At the same time, I laughed at Sad Nuggie’s awkward attempts at adulting - whether it’s moving house, job hunting, trying to make friends, eating healthy, or even going on a date. These everyday struggles are portrayed with such heart and humour that they feel both relatable and oddly comforting.

The art style is simple yet expressive, perfectly complementing the tone of the comic. If you’re already familiar with Sad Nuggie from TikTok or Instagram, the visual style and emotional honesty won’t come as a surprise. It stays true to the character’s essence - gentle, vulnerable, and quietly funny.

This is a quick read, but one that lingers long after you’ve turned the last page. Sad Nuggie is a heartfelt reminder that even in our loneliest moments, we are not alone - and sometimes, that’s exactly what we need to hear.

Thank you to NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for the opportunity to read and review an early copy of this comic.

This is an adorable comic book about a little nugget trying to make it in a harsh world, navigating life, work, love, moving, and all the joys of being an adult, when all you want to do is stay home and watch tv. It reminds me a lot of the Nathan W. Pyle's Strange Planet books, in that they are comics with few words, but very relatable from the first panel. I really appreciate how well Sad Nuggie continues to try new things, even when they really just want to give up.

I first heard about Sad Nuggie on TikTok and really enjoy the videos from the Sad Nuggie shop, where all the different Nuggies get into various hijinx. This is a very quick read that would definitely benefit from being read on a larger screen and/or with a physical book because I'm sure I missed some details, viewing it on my phone. This would be a great gift for a recent grad or anyone who's having a hard time navigating through life right now. Love it!

I received this DRC from NetGalley.

I was iffy on this after the first few sections where Nuggie is worried about money while also just being wasteful with it, and then proceeds to eat chicken nuggets. I was previously unaware of Nuggie, so it just was weird that he's a cannibal. After that, the little vignettes were more amusing. I particularly liked that during a paint and sip class, he freaks out when he realized his painting was a little different. That's the kind of innocuous stuff that's funny to me.

Overall, a cute quick read! The art style is adorable and I got a good chuckle about following around the adventures of a sad chicken nugget. I do wish there was maybe a bit more transition between some of the scenes or even maybe some additional frames for a few of them just to add a little bit more context, but overall it felt very relatable. 3.75/5 stars.

Super cute. I didn't realize how much I'd identify with a sad nuggie but here I am feeling validated. I liked the ups and downs the little nug was having and how sometimes a bad thing would turn out good all along. Super fun.

OMG, this book is so amazing. The illustrations, the idea, the plot, everything was absolutely perfect. As someone who has anxiety and often struggles with trying out new things and being open to new friendships, this book made me feel so seen. The illustrations might be the cutest ones that I’ve ever seen. Absolutely adored this book, very grateful for the author and the illustrator for making people with anxiety feel seen
