Super cute addition to the sad nuggie world, but can’t hold a candle to the videos. Gotta love sad nuggie in therapy!

such a cute and funny and relatable story! i hope to read more from the author

Can I just give Nuggie a big hug?
Thank you to the illustrator for bringing us Sad Nuggie. It does show that we are not alone in how we feel.
The art is amazingly cute and the stories recognizable and uplifting.

I really enjoy the sad nuggie comics. I follow sad nuggie on social media, but it's nice to see the book and see comics I missed or weren't posted for the book.
I felt the struggle of getting stuck by a mattress. I was almost trapped like that when moving.
These comics are so short and capture the smaller moments in life in a surprising way. These tiny moments are often missed or just so common that they get skipped over.
Cheer on Nuggie and yourself with this little book.

I have loved sad nuggie from the start. Honestly, how can you not? When the cute little animated chicken nugget portrays you exactly.

I loved it so much, the short stories were so funny and so lovely. I would love to see more from this nuggie! Congratulations to the author and thank you Net Galley for the opportunity to read this book!

An adorable, fast read that took all but 10 minutes if that to complete.
Liked the characterization of the Nuggie and how cute it came across but it’s utterly forgettable.

thank you to netgalley for the arc and the opportunity to read this in exchange for an honest review
I could find myself relating to a lot of different things that sad nugget experiences throughout the events of this story and found it quiet wholesome. I smiled, I laughed, etc. definitely recommend this!

Meet Sad Nuggie—yep, an anxious chicken nugget, who is way too relatable. Whether it’s spiralling over social interactions, overthinking adulting, or just wanting to be cosy and left alone, Sad Nuggie gets it. Trying everything to put a balm over feeling unaccomplished, only to fail miserably? Yep, that's just one of the lessons talked about here.
I’ve seen the comics online before, but having them all together in one place made me smile so much.
The book doesn’t have a dramatic plot—it’s just this quiet journey of a literal nugget trying to survive life.
And somehow that simplicity made it hit harder. It’s funny, sad, adorable, and weirdly comforting.
The art? Adorable. The vibes? Immaculate. It made me laugh and feel seen!
It does feel a little short, like I blinked and it ended, but I still loved it. It's perfect for anyone who’s ever felt overwhelmed, introverted, or just tired of being human.
Thanks to NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for the ARC.

This was a great book, and will hit you really hard in the feelings. I think we have all experienced what little Sad Nuggie goes though. It's funny, and a little bit melancholy at the same time. The artwork is gorgeous, and I loved every minute of reading this.

Long-form version of the social media series. Poor Sad Nuggie... Definitely a must-read for fans. Nice to see Sad Nuggie not sad all the time.

This was an adorable read, even though it wasn't my style. I highly enjoyed the comic strip styling of this book! It's something you don't often see anymore with graphic novels per se. This would make a great coffee table book, and I can't wait to see the Sad Nuggie brand expand into print media.

This little sad nuggie speaks to me on so many levels. I loved the illustrations and the scenes. I will re-read it as many times as possible.

A cute little book that is too relatable to me and to introvert people. Book talks about social anxiety that comes up when you have to talk to bunch of people or go to a crowded place, feeling missing out. But after one exhaustive long day, you sit your sofa cuddles up in your favourite blanket and tea with your favourite show on - is just perfect!!!!

Awww I just had to click when I saw the little guy on the cover of Life is Sweet and Sour! Sad Nuggie is super relatable the whole way through.

I genuinely could not get enough of this. I have been a fan of Sad Nuggie for a very long time, and have been wanting to get my own physical Nuggie to help me get through the sad times. This book is a collection of comics and stories that brings Sad Nuggie to life. It's not easy being a sensitive lil nuggie in a big cruel world, especially when all you want is live a quiet life in your cozy nuggie home.
These comics are sweet and fun, and try to show the lighter side of life despite living with anxiety. It's reflective of wanting to keep to yourself and stay in your own little bubble, but getting out there in wider world and experiencing life for all it's made of. It's suitable for all ages, and I'd especially recommend it for those who are fans of Sad Nuggie.
Thank you so much to NetGalley for the review copy of this book!

Having related to many of the sad nuggie posts I've seen on social media, I knew this would be an enjoyable read.
We get a glimpse of how Sad Nuggie copes with a big life change: moving to a new place. We are shown the struggles and anxiety around having to make new friends, start a new job, and get familiar with your new surroundings. Sad Nuggie doesn't excel in these areas, but does their best.

I absolutely love the art style—and the fact that the main character is a chicken nugget? Genius. The dedication page was incredibly sweet, and I knew right then I was in for something special. I never thought I’d relate so deeply to an anxiety-ridden chicken nugget, but here we are.
What really hit me was how many of Sad Nuggie’s experiences mirrored my own. The coping mechanisms, the spirals, the attempts to just function—it’s all so real. This isn’t just cute for cute’s sake; it’s thoughtful, honest, and deeply relatable. It captures the way anxiety can quietly (or loudly) take over your day, but does it with heart and dark humor that never feels dismissive.
This definitely feels aimed at adults dealing with anxiety—people who will see themselves in the tiny struggles and quiet victories. The humor leans into the darker corners of life, but it’s done with such warmth and charm that it never feels heavy. Just… tender.
P.S. That one panel with “Tender”? I was absolutely howling.

That said, I found the book a bit too short. Just when I was getting into it, it was over! Still, it's an enjoyable little escape, especially if you're in the mood for something light.
Thank you to NetGalley and the author for the opportunity to read this sweet book!
