I appreciate how the author speaks directly to the viewer. The story is unique and dynamic and I enjoy how the author arranges her story.

Wow, this was even more emotional than I had thought going in. A roller coaster and so deeply moving. Written with such tenderness. Definitely recommend!

Terah Shelton Harris is a gifted storyteller, and this is no exception. Her supporting characters are so well-developed and approachable. Tibbs and Ms. Byrd, even Luke and Walt- all so important to Leigh’s journey.
I loved Leigh’s story of self-discovery and healing. Trauma and past hurts are integral to Leigh’s growth, and I love TSH’s choice to incorporate nature-based therapy tools in this setting.
This one gave me ALL the feels, allowing me to use my senses to envision the wildflower fields and Cahaba River. I especially connected with Leigh’s moments of femininity and vulnerability. I felt seen. 💜

4.5 Stars!
I loved this book! I highly recommend this for just about anyone. It was on its way to becoming a 5 star read, but landed at 4.5.. more on that below.
Such a sweet, alluring story about Leigh, a young girl who finds herself accidentally escaped from prison and heading out to start a fresh new life. Leigh’s early life was full of unreliable adults and unimagined tragedy. After her unexpected prison escape, Leigh encounters people along the way, many of whom help her to find her way towards her new life.
The writing is beautiful, and the characters are engaging. While it is a bit of a slow burn, it is also a page turner.
This book was a 5 star read for me up until the very end… a few decisions made by the characters as to how to acquire some desperately needed money seemed rather unrealistic to me. Also, finding out why it was what Leigh was in jail and what was done (or not done) about that was also seemed a bit of a strange decision to me. But other readers will have different feelings about these points and that is another reason I like this book, it makes you think and allows the reader to form opinions.. I did love the book and highly recommend!!

To write like this is a truly a gift. Masterful, intentional, poetic...
Beautiful story about second chances, self discovery, love and so much more.

Terah Shelton Harris can do no wrong! This book is BEAUTIFUL and made me cry like a little baby at the end.

Great book. Masterfully written, couldn't put it down, Leigh is involved in a prison transport van wreck, submerged in water. Everyone dies, except her. She is on the run from the law, but also from her childhood. She ends up meeting an unlikely group on a wildflower farm and slowly comes to terms with her past. Rich, insightful writing. Terah Harris demonstrates a deep understands the human psyche. Would be a great movie too!

A sweet tender story of redemption and hope set among the beauty of flowers. Leandra escapes from a prison can when it careens off the road and falls into a river. We learn about her and her family’s abusive past and the tragedy that unfolds that brought her to prison. Leandra had always considered herself invisible but through her escape and finding the flower farm started by Jackson and his love, she discovers she can see and be seen. Leandra is such a beautiful character. I loved her and this sweet romance. I would like to thank NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this delightful book.

It just wasn't for me, in the first half I felt like I was reading a self-help book and in the second half I was thinking how much I don't like romances where people are just lying about everything. But I'm clearly the outlier, this book's Goodreads page is filled with people who liked it, and the writing is good. I just didn't like it.

Where the Wildflowers Grow is a masterfully written, emotionally rich story that broke me wide open from the very start. Terah Shelton Harris delivers a novel that is equal parts devastating and healing — a narrative blooming with grief, love, and the quiet strength it takes to survive.
I was already weeping after the prologue. What followed was a heart-wrenching yet beautiful journey that I’ll carry with me for a long time.
This is a must-read. An emotional triumph. Pre-order it, gift it, cherish it.

Keith's story is full of heartbreak and resilience. Her journey at times feels never ending. Finding the farm and the family she so desperately needs to heal and breath is a wonderful moment. Secrets have a way of throwing people off course however. Facing her past and not just surviving but living is the great challenge of this story. I loved the writing style, the side characters and the relationships old and new.

This book was literally phenomenal??? I mean wow. I love this author but something about this one just hit me in the heart. Leigh’s character was so complicated and devastating. I was obsessed with the flower farm too. Tibb and Luke’s characters were so incredible for so many different reasons. I loved the yoga parts, especially how everything said there was confidential. I also loved Luke’s playfulness. Carly’s character reallyyyyy annoyed me but I also understood where she was coming from and she did redeem herself. And all of this isn’t even including the romance portion. I also loved that even though there was technically a happy ending, Leigh still (unfortunately) had to serve the rest of her sentence. I know she was innocent, but being able to live free forever wasn’t realistic, and I loved the realism. Plus the fact that the story was to her daughter. I’m so beyond obsessed I devoured this.

Delicious, from the opening page to the epilogue. This is a beautiful novel, well crafted and wonderfully expressed. The author's exquisite use of prose and incredible perception elevate everything on the page. You'll love the setting and fall in love with the characters. There is something in this novel for practically anyone. A delightful read!

I absolutely adored this book! Terah Shelton Harris has crafted a deeply moving story of resilience, healing, and love that lingered with me long after finishing. Leigh, the main character, has endured a childhood shrouded in mystery and marked by abuse. Watching her slowly begin to face the shadows of her past—especially with the gentle support of Jackson, whose kindness and patience truly shine—was both heartbreaking and hopeful.
What stood out most was the emotional depth and authenticity of the characters. The pacing is beautiful, the writing evocative, and the journey toward self-discovery feels earned and powerful. A quietly stunning read for anyone who appreciates character-driven novels and stories of strength, healing, and the slow blooming of hope. Highly recommend for your next book club or cozy weekend read.

Terah’s writing is so good that it makes her an automatic author I must read. This deluxe edition is gorgeous and well worth the purchase. The story will captivate your attention and prompt thought. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

This is a story of survival and redemption and makes you think about living and life. This is a heavy novel with topics of death and grief.

A beautifully written and emotionally layered story. Terah Harris explores grief, healing, and the quiet strength of love in a way that feels both honest and hopeful. The characters will stay with me long after I finished. A heartfelt, memorable read.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Where the Wildflowers Grow pulled me in with its quiet strength and stayed with me long after I finished. Terah Shelton Harris writes with such grace—her storytelling is emotional, honest, and beautifully layered. Leigh’s journey felt so real—raw, painful, and at the same time, full of hope. I loved how healing was shown not as a straight line, but something messy and deeply personal. The flower farm setting added such a soothing, almost meditative feel to the whole book. It’s a gentle, powerful read that reminds you how love and community can help piece you back together.

so immersive. and absolutely gorgeous. a heart-wrenching story packed in an incredibly picturesque narrative and world. an emotional journey

Beautiful book. Leigh Wildes had a very difficult childhood living in the rural South. While on a prison transport there is an accident and Leigh gets away. She ends up on a flower farm in Alabama where she does a lot of healing. Great characters.
