Debbie Macomber writes happy, touching books and this one is no different. The setting and the premise are different and one of the reasons I liked this read even though it was a bit predictable. I thought there might be one too many storylines and would liked to have explore the main character's backgrounds a bit more instead but this really didn't detract too much from the HEA plot. Christmas books are a favorite of mine and this one didn't disappoint with the rallying around a character in his time of need, touching reunions, and of course new, romantic beginnings. I look forward to the next Debbie Macomber book! Many thanks to the publisher, Author, and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

When the ferry makes an unscheduled pitstop, passengers begin to break down like the stranded ship. As the hours loom by, unlikely friendships are formed. Debbie Macomber masterly weaves together stories from the loved ones awaiting the ferry's arrival to the passengers each navigating their own rough waters.
Struggling to embrace the festive season, the characters have estranged family members and lifechanging events waiting on the distant shore. Will the rocky waters force them to confront a new course of action? Thank you to #NetGalley and the publisher for the early edition of #AFerryMerryChristmas in exchange for an honest review. While early in the season, the comfort & joy the tale conveys is 'shore' to put readers in a festive mood!

I love Debbie Macomber but I hate that she's slowing down on writing. "A Ferry Merry Christmas" is another quick, great read by the queen of Christmas novels.

A long time favorite author of mine, Debbie Macomber knows how to speak to the heart of her readers. A Ferry Merry Christmas is a story of romance, hope, forgiveness, and the magic of the Holiday Season.
The story centers on several main characters in different stages and types of relationships. There's budding new romances, estranged siblings, estranged spouses and new family additions. What started as a disaster when a ferry is stalled because of engine trouble, turns unexpectedly into a magical day for most of the travelers.
This is a truly heartwarming story that brought me to tears a few times. It's a perfect story for anytime, but especially around the holidays. You can feel the magic in the air. Debbie writes so smoothly, you fly through the chapters. I highly recommend this book. You won't be sorry reading this.
Thanks to Netgalley and Ballantine Books for the advanced copy

It was a quick, hallmark style holiday read. I did not like how many stories were going on though for a book this short. There are 4 couples plus a few side stories and I prefer her books where the focus is on one or two couples. I liked Avery and Reed's stories the best, I didn't care for the Logan character. If you need a quick, lighthearted book in between heavier stuff, this is a good choice.

A sweet Christmas story about strangers meeting on a stranded ferry and how they became friends and more. I love that it included a child and also an elderly woman. Something for everyone.

A really good Christmas story. A ferry is stranded in the water off Seattle . Follow along as all the passengers come together to help each other get through this delay. a new baby and new romance. The perfect Christmas Story!

What a fun read.. Debbie Macomber does it again with another boy meets girl unexpectedly and falls in love. If you love this author, then you will love this book! Although the book was predictable, it was still enjoyable because you were cheering for the characters to get together!
